  1. Can someone please explain to me why the BoxyLuxe choice window starts two months BEFORE the actual month it ships?? How long does it last? I was subscribed to both regular boxycharm and BoxyLuxe, but I cancelled because I never got a choice email, so I never got to choose, and I didn’t like the spoilers for November and couldn’t skip…so I cancelled because I’m definitely not paying for things I don’t want. Plus, when I emailed customer service they treated me like crap, not offering to fix anything or even an apology.
I am not excited about BoxyLuxe December spoilers..so does anyone have advice?

    • Glad i’m not the only one that never received notice or any sort of email..

  2. Just so you know, the facial roller image is Nurse Jamie, not Cosmedix.

  3. Price for boxyluxe is suppose to remain $49.99. The increased price for the regular boxycharm monthly box from $21 to $25 starting as of November 1st 2019 is not suppose to affect the price of the boxyluxe or at least that’s what the boxycharm staff originally stated when they talked about the price increase. I guess we will see come December 1st. Either way I’ll still be a happy charmer 😁

  4. Oh, good grief. A facial roller? That’s so…sad. Those things are completely useless, just a dumb fad made popular by YouTube beauty influencers. They don’t really do anything they claim to except maybe help stimulate fluid drainage to reduce some puffiness. Which you can do just as well lightly massaging with your own finger. It’s a little pathetic and insulting a subscription box whose brand is built on higher end makeup and skincare wants to pass off a snake oil product as one of the items in their “luxe” box.

  5. Ooooo…I am EXCITED for the pallette. I collect pallettes and love to try different formulas and I LOVE them with odd packaging!! And have wondered about this brand and it’s nice to know if I like the formulas,
I can start ordering more from the company to play in!!! Very excited!!

And I would LOVE to get the crystal roller. I had one of the “jade” rollers and one of the side metal prong thing came out and almost poked me in my eye. It left a gouge in my skin, right under my eyeball, so now I’m scared of things like that, but this one would be nice because it looks like it dont have anything that could come off or pop off.

Excited for December Luxe so far and really excited for November pop up….now only wish I had lots of extra money to play with that I dont have to spend on others….I’ve had friends hint about how they dont care for makeup or need/want any makeup this year for birthday or Christmas….and that’s what I usually save up for during the year, to share with them….so now I’m kinda trying to figure out what to do since I’ve became the “makeup fairy ” and now they dont seem to want it…lol

  6. It made me chose both! I wanted to chose one of the products and leave the others to chance but it made me chose both. I wish there would have been a surprise me option

  7. December Boxyluxe Choice is now open!

  8. Choice for December is OPEN

    • Just logged in and picked my two items🙂

  9. Am I the only one that is not excited about the colors in the Storybook palette? Everyone has been gushing about it, but it looks like a Spring palette. Pastels and a lot of frost. Not something for fall or winter…unless you are headed to Narnia. I’m sure it is great quality, though.

    • Not excited. I don’t like pastels and a lot of frost. Never heard of this company, but glad to see the Wizardry palette of theirs has good reviews. And those colors I like better. But so many palettes so little time, I’m more excited for the skincare personally 🙂

      • Same here wldnt mind no more palettes including face for awhile. Like to see more setting and finishing powders skincare esp eye creams and serums

      • Skin care all the way 🥰🥰💕💕

      • Same! Gimme all the skincare haha 😛

    • You can always save it and play with it in the spring!! I’m super excited personally because I collect eyeshadow pallettes and love to try new formulas and if I get to try something and it works for me, then I buy more from the brand, just in other colors I want. It’s a nice way to try out color/formulas/ pigmentation etc. I dont have a sephora near me , and a lot of these are “indie brands” so this way I get to try it out before I invest.

Ugh, dont even get me started…I tried the single shadow allure sent out of natasha denona (morgananna was the color I got) at the start of summer 2019 and used it 3/4 times and fell in love so ,much that I’ve spent almost 1,000 dollars on her eyeshadow pallettes now!!! That’s how easy and magical her formula is for me….so I kinda use it as a way to see if it works for me and if it is, then I know it’s safe to go out and try something else in different colors from the brand.

And you can always save it for spring to open and play in as well, or use it to compliment other pallettes.

Hope you have an amazing day, and to anyone whom reads this!! Take care of yourself and dont forget to tell people you love and appreciate them, and learn to do nice things for yourself daily as well.

      • What a lovely message. I hope you have a nice day filled with good luck and good fortune.

  10. Careful, you’ll get premature eyelid wrinkles, but luckily there’s a zebrawood roller for that!

    • Oh eff, that was supposed to be a reply to someone else.

      • 😂🤣

  11. I’m getting seriously tired of these no name and obscure brands, especially in the luce box. That one should be the premier box of the quarter. Probably canceling after this December

  12. I have a similar roller from tjmax already and I do like it. I think they are good for the knockoff price but not the nurse Jaime price personally. I returned the nurse Jaime when I compared it to the one I found for $20 and they felt exactly the same. I much prefer this style roller than the ones that look like jade as I find the quality of this type to be superior as those others seem to break easily. I would hope for the serum since I have the roller but honestly probably would not use it either.

    • Interesting!! I chose the roller. I had the “jade” one and was using it one day and the “gold” metal part came off and hit right under my right eye. Like it left a mark for months and I’m super lucky it dodnt get a smidge bit over or it would have possibly taken my eye put or caused major damage. I dont knowing it was a fluke thing or what, but this one
Looks like it wont have that issue, so I’m excited to try it.

Not sure what the Crystal part is supposed to do..use energy or to add texture to the “facial ” or what..but I’ve read some people pop it on the refrigerator for 10 minutes or so on a hot day and use it and it helps with puffiness and circulation as well. But I’ve never tried it.

  13. Ugh these face rollers and jade rollers im sorry seem so gimmicky to me. I honestly dont see the point in them except to make money! Very disappointing to me

    • I use a Jade roller and love it. I enjoy putting them in my skin care fridge, and they actually help with the product absorbing too by pressing the serums, oils, etc… Into the skin. It also helps to minimize pores before makeup application if it’s cold. Just some of the instant benefits I get from it. 😘

      • Omg you have a SKINCARE FRIDGE?!?! Is it like a small dorm style fridge?!?!? That has never crossed my mind…..what an interesting idea Jill M!!! What skincare items do you keep in there?!?!

      • They now make mini mini fridges specifically for skincare products. They’re super cute.

      • I love my jade roller for the same things. I also like to use it over sheet masks and in the mornings I use it by itself to help “wake up” my eyes and face while I’m having my morning coffee. I have a lot of tension in my forehead, causing 11’s between my brows; the jade roller does help relieve that tension.

      • I use my jade roller for the same reasons as well and absolutely love it! It really does help all my skincare products absorb better and it definitely minimizes my pores! I’m so jealous of your skincare fridge, I want one so bad! I keep my jade roller in my freezer but would absolutely love to have a skincare fridge to keep it and my other skincare products in. All the ones I’ve found are fairly pricey though

  14. Don’t want to roll with the roller, lol. ‘Dud’. 😉

    • Why waste your time picking an item cause you wont get it .. then get promised 2 months in a row.it will.be there and it still isnt .. and when you contact them they give you the same run around emails.. one stating they have it and will be mailing it soon.. then you get an email saying they are waiting on a shipment
. So yeah not very i impressed with customer service !!!

      • That happened to me. I did not receive the Glow Recipe Pineapple Serum in my Sept. box as promised. I emailed CS and they said they would send it by the end of October. I had not received it by last week, so I decided to email for an update. I got an email back saying they could not fulfill the order and they gave me $51.00 in charms! I would of much rather had the serum. I just felt lied and cheated.

      • They’ve promised to send my missing October item, but it hasn’t shipped yet. The jury remains WAY out on Boxycharm.

  15. I want the lip serum so bad! Which means I won’t get it. I just will not use the facial roller at all. Just not my thing. I’m 40 and getting those fine lines around my lips so the lip serum would be perfect to try!

  16. Full spoliers for “premium Boxy” are on their site. Can we get dupes if we sub to all the boxes is my question….

Here are the spoilers for premium-
    Denona Palette
    5 Pc Brush Set
    QMS Eye serum
    Dragun Skin Perfecting Potion
    Kopari Toner
    Becca Lippie

  17. What is the face roller? I can not find it on their website.

    • It looks very similar to the purple one sold by Nurse Jamie. I’ve seen it in Sephora and Nordstrom’s websites. It might be just another color but it could be a knockoff.

      • Oops! I just realized it already says the brand name. Cosmedix. 🤦‍♀️

I wouldn’t mind trying it but I would much rather get the lip cream as I’m starting to see a few shadows of the lines just waiting to show up around my top lip. 😩 It looks like that roller is supposed to help with that too but I’m pretty skeptical. Especially because it looks to be about the same size as the one I mentioned by another brand that’s marketed for full face application.

Not crazy about that eye shadow book for myself but it will make a cute gift. Of course I might not get anything if I don’t make it off the waitlist. I rejoined at the beginning of last month but you never know.

    • Forget rolling my face. When I saw that spoiler, I rolled my eyes.

      • Careful, you’ll get premature eyelid wrinkles, but luckily there’s a zebrawood roller for that!

  18. I think for boxy luxe we get to choose 3 items, excited to see which we can choose.

    • We get to chose one pick correct?

      • Sorry 1-3 items, I just remember seeing 3 🙂

      • I got an email saying we will get to pick 2

      • Awesome, thank you as I get no emails from boxy, 2 is better than 1 🙂

  19. I searched to see if the squalene in the lip serum is vegan, and couldn’t find anything saying that, so it’s probably from shark liver oil. Ick. And I have super thin, fragile 61-year-old skin, so a face roller does not sound good to me at all. I was excited about Luxe because of the Elemis/Saturday Skin, but now am less excited. I wish I could get both of those instead having to choose between icky liver serum and a useless piece of plastic!

    • The ingredients for the lip serum say “squalane” which is plant-derived. Squalene (with an e) is the shark-liver derived oil. I agree it would be nice for the company to be transparent about this, as lots of people won’t consider beauty products with animal products in them.

    • From what I have read, squalane oil is made with squalene, which can be derived from shark liver or plants. Most companies in the USA are using plants, but this is a European company.

      • Argh. So I guess there’s no way of knowing for sure unless the company will answer a direct question about its ingredients. I tend to think they’d say if it was plant derived though – it’s the kind of thing a lot of consumers want to know.

    • You might be able to get one or the other in “add on” or the pop up sale on the 11th.

  20. TRICKORTARTE is no longer valid. I tried it and the code is invalid and I do not see it on their website.

    • Yeah I tried to use it to no go but suppose to be good till 31 🤷‍♂️maybe they ran out.

  21. Shaping up to be a fab. box.

  22. Kinda want the roller but I’d be good with either!

  23. Elemis and QMS 😁

    • I chose the same 🙂

  24. I would love to try that lip serum. How much is this in US dollars ?

    • 200 dollars

      • Wow, that’s a huge difference in price between the two!

      • The pricing of QMS is completely bogus in my opinion. The brand has almost no retail presence. If you google, it seems to be distributed solely to a limited number of salons in Europe.

I don’t know how QMS picked a price point. The ingredients certainly are not “magic” – not that ANY ingredients in any brand are responsible for price differentials.

I think a product devoted to lip lines on the upper lip is probably a wee bit too specialized to be meaningful. I assume those are the lips one gets as one ages that run vertically between the nostrils and the lips. These are especially pronounced if people have a history of smoking.

      • Yes it certainly is. I was SUPER excited to see it until I saw the retail value. This makes me think it’s likely not going to be in many boxes. Probably all the Influencers, YouTubers, bloggers and a small percentage of the “non-famous.” 😄

I really hope I’m wrong though. I’m a former smoker and while you can’t see the lines yet, when I purse my lips even slightly they pop right out. So I would be over the moon to get it if it actually works. That being the case I wouldn’t even care what else was in my box.

Unfortunately I doubt it’s going to be one of the products we get to choose from. Unless that company really wants their name out there (or more we’ll known here in the U.S. specifically) and gave Boxy a heck of a deal, which I suppose is a possibility. 🙏 🤞

      • Couldnt agree more with you. We will all get some left over filler item or the cheaper thing. Its really getting ridiculous.
