The Allure box is hit or miss. The color of the Tarte lipsticks is awful, I’ve thrown two of them in the trash. Not everyone wants to look like a gothic vampire. It would be nice to have something soft and neutral for once. I may keep this through Christmas to see if they improve, but if not, I’m done.

I got the Tarte color ‘Boardwalk’ which is a neutral but dark brown. Looks terrible as a lipstick on me but surprisingly makes a decent contour stick.

Staci Marie

what color Tarte lipstick did you get? I got Surf’s Up and it is a natural looking peachy brown. It is boring in my opinion.

Anna

The color I received was called Miami Vice, it was a dark red/brown color. Not good at all. I love the feel of the lipsticks, but the colors they are sending me are horrid.

Jennifer

I cancelled this month. Not enough makeup and the samples are itty bitty. 25$ gets 5 full size with ipsy and boxycharm. That’s 10$ more for amazing items. Allure needs to step It up

December they are sending put a full size Anastasia of Beverly Hills moon child highlighter pallette according to the email i got

ELF? Seriously? Thanks but no. The only items I’d actually want would be the PTR (that Cloud Cream is my holy grail!) & the Belief.

It’s a pass from me since I’d likely not get either item that I want.

At least three products in the variation list are NOT cruelty free. Vichy, Peter Thomas Roth, and Belif. I hope I don’t get any of those! And I wish all three would get cruelty free!!!

Y’all, that Model Co Eyelites in granite was simply the WORST product I have ever obtained IN MY LIFE. Seriously. I honestly can not define how terrible it actually is.

But it worked great for my son’s zombie look for Halloween, so there was that.

Anna Beth

Agree!

Jenni

For real Elf???

Reply ButtonReply

Elle

Ahhh… Allure. I want to love you so bad but you make it sooooo hard with the variations.

Dawna

Same. I finally just canceled instead of skipping. I have gotten an email a day for 5 days in a row. We miss you… free wander beauty mascara when you resub! Oh?! The same exact one I already got in an Allure box? No thanks! The email did mention an upcoming brand collaboration box with 3 full size products. Might bite on that one…

Reply ButtonReply

Kitty

You can skip a box?

habeebidee

Who was the collab box with?! I’m considering cancelling, too.

Dawna

Nope! Sorry Allure… But, this variation bs is NOT ok. The whole non-varient thing was probably the biggest attraction to this sub, that and the skincare. Now it’s this or that…???

Does anyone know if you subscribe through Amazon would you get the same box as if you had signed up through the allure website? Would the mascara still be a free item?

Reply ButtonReply

laci

i got this exact box off of amazon. this isn’t my first box, but i did get a free gift, sent *separately* via Amazon, the first time. however, it wasn’t the same gift that was being promoted at the time. i don’t know if they just ran out & had to sub something else, or if amazon sends alternate gifts than allure direct.

Tabbie

I signed up on Amazon and got the October box, but it did not include the mascara. On the plus side – much easier to cancel you subscription!

Reply ButtonReply

Shari

If you subscribe through Amazon, you won’t get the free subscriber gift. I’m pretty sure there’s normally only one variation sold through Amazon.
It does take it a bit longer to get your first box if you sub through Allure(about 3 weeks) but it is worth it, imo. And you can purchase through PayPal as well

another yikes from me… for the curology cleanser. I subscribe so I figured might as well give it a shot. expensive garbage, don’t know what I was thinking. I’d say similar texture to fresh cleanser but doesn’t clean nearly enough. and this coming from someone generally unpicky about cleansers….

Any idea when I’d have to subscribe to get the November box?

Reply ButtonReply

kathymedeiros83

U can get it in December because they always give you a box from the month before

Mecca Hughey

Subscribe on the 1st of november

I reactivated my subscription this month. Does anyone know how long they usually take to ship when you do that?

Reply ButtonReply

myripa6217

Up to 20 days from the day you order

tammy g.

nice allure,,,this is one box I always get..such nice products.

Reply ButtonReply

sara

Yikes! So many variations! I’m interested in specific items and would be bummed to not get them. Hmmmm…

Reply ButtonReply

Miranda

Same here. I’ve been u subbed for a while now but when I was getting the box there were no variations. Which is unfortunate because I used to love getting my allure box back when I knew I’d get the items shown. There are 3 items I’d be happy to get out of the variations but with my luck I’ll get all of the other 3 I’m not interested in.. I’m really disappointed that all the beauty boxes seem to be doing so so many variations lately. I wish they’d go back to how they used to do them. Especially if they don’t have a profile or don’t use it to decide what to send people.
This box does look good this so I may have to resub at least for this box.

Definitely unpausing for November. Love ELF products and love the Tarte color splash lipstick. Would be very happy with any of the variant items

Might have to restart my subscription for this box. Looks really good!

Hi Ladies,

Does Allure ever do any promos for Black Friday?

Thanks!!

RoguesEn3D

I only wish I could choose the lip color.

This box looks gr8 to me! I just love tube lipstick! Anxious to try the Elf primer as well. I’ve always loved my Allure box. No black eyeliners. Yippee

Reply ButtonReply

JackieCupcake

I love that elf primer! I’ve been using it for about 2 months and I’ve had strangers comment on my skin. It really is an excellent dupe for the much more pricey Tatcha version.

That and the Tarte lipstick make this a great month for me. I’ll definitely be resubscribing.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna Beth Nagel

I must have extremely aggressive pores because the Elf primer putty did not work for me. It applies well but is doesn’t hold up after a couple of hours.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise Atkinson

I have seen magazines and influencers say they same about it being a dupe. Yippee 👍👍

Tanya M.

Just putting it out here for the Allure algorithm or Allure giving angels, I would really enjoy these three: Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream, Bliss That’s Incredi-peel pads (pack of 5) and the Belif Hungarian Water Essence/

Thank you in Advance!

Seems like November’s box, just like October’s, is chock-full of “meh”.

I pay for two boxes every month and if December doesn’t knock my socks off, I’m out.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

I’m liking this box and I just saw the palette for December! I was thinking about pausing but now I’ll stick around through the holidays!

For myself, I’m interested in the Freeze 24/ 7 eye serum. I received it a couple of times in the last few years & love it. It really works but it’s so expensive! Just for the eye serum alone I’d be happy with the box. As for the Tarte lipstick, they’re really good & I’ve received them a couple of times but in a color I didn’t like so I gave them away. So that may be hit or miss. I love the E.L F. putty & would love another because it’s always out of stock. Nevertheless I still think it’s a good box @ a good price.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

I wanted 2 Allure boxes this month, it’s almost like they heard me.😅 This looks fantastic, I don’t even mind the variations!

Reply ButtonReply

Tasha

I’m happy with it. I don’t want the eye cream since I have had it multiple times from boxes. I love those tarte lip pies and have several so I probabl6 get a shade I already have. I’m only keeping allure until the end of the year most likely. It’s time to narrow down my subs again. That’s just the risk I take subbing to many boxes for as long as I have and buy your own stuff.
