  1. I got my mystery box today, and I thought I’d post its contents in case any of us would like to reference back as to what types of contents the mystery boxes could contain 🙂

    I got:

Manyo Factory Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Repair Ampoule (full size)

Heimish Refresh Water (full size) – this is a toner and I LOVE it’s simple opage packaging. Very shelfie worthy, lol

EyeNLip Hyaluronic Acid Multi Care Cream & Toner (full size) – just like the name suggests, this is a creamy/milky toner

The Saem Lipstick (full size) – color name unknown, but the one I got is a bright-ish peachy color that I could tame down with a balm underneath. It has a really unique textured plastic packaging that I like.

Duft & Doft Stockholm Rose Revitalizing Lip Cream (full size) – very lightly tinted lip balm in a tube

Etude House Green Tea Sheet Mask

Etude House Help My Finger Nail Finger Pack – sort of like sheet masks for your nails that fit over the tips of your fingers

Overall, I’m super happy with my mystery box 🙂 The only thing I’ll gift is the finger nail masks (lol), and I’m super stoked about the three full size skincare products. I love that I got two hyaluronic acid products and two toners which I always seem to go through far too quickly and seem to rarely receive in boxes. I can’t wait for their next mystery box! I think this is probably the way I’ll go going forward with Pink Seoul… just get their mystery boxes rather than subscribing… I seem to have good luck both ways, but at least this way I feel like I’m getting the same items I’d get in a Plus box, but for cheaper 🙂

    • *opaque, not opage (lol)

  2. Why is this different from their sub boxes?

    • Probably because it’s a mystery box, and contents could vary, as opposed to their sub boxes where you can see spoilers for the different skin type boxes & box levels before subscribing… assuming unboxings are posted for them. Also, I’d put the contents I’ve received in the past on par with their Plus box which is $50.

  3. I couldn’t help myself on this one. I haven’t subbed to Pink Seoul since last year, and I’ve been itching to sub to a k-beauty box this year, but I just never bit the bullet. I’ve liked all of the past Pink Seoul mystery boxes I’ve received, so I thought I’d go for it and get as close as I can to getting another k-beauty box in my life again. lol

    • Hey, Luna! Did you get a lot of sheet masks in your previous mystery boxes? I’m tempted to grab one of these but while I LOVE regular masks, I really detest the messiness and awkwardness of sheet masks.

      • I’m just the opposite! Hate the messiness and awkwardness of regular masks. Sheet masks are hydrating, quick, and easy, with no washing off, peeling, yucky jelly feeling, or the drying “argh” of the clay stuff. I hope this one is sheet masks galore!

        • You must’ve used very different ones than I have. Most I’ve tried, from all kinds of different brands and sub boxes and countries, are drippy and messy while trying to unfold and fit onto my face. My hands get all slimy and it takes several minutes to apply. I have a pretty normal face size and they all fit differently, some better than others, but none truly fit completely. Especially where the holes are concerned. The worst part is that they ALL completely ignore my worst problem area as far as dryness, which is the sides of my nose. And when I finish applying I have to wash my hands even after I apply the excess serum to my neck and hands because they’re still sticky/tacky.

Regular masks can be applied with just my three fingers or fingertips depending on the mask, or I can use one of my mask applicator tools. I have a great silicone one, a very accurate plastic one that reaches areas better than the softer one and finally I can use one made like a makeup brush or an actual makeup brush. Before I bought any of the tools I used old foundation brushes. But if I’m in a hurry I just use my hands and have my face and neck covered in the same or less time than it takes to unwrap and apply and adjust a sheet mask.

Obviously we all have our preferred type and I know I’m a bit overly passionate about mine. I truly wanted to love sheet masks when I first discovered them but I just cannot get past the ick factor. Unfortunately that probably puts me in the minority and means I miss out on some great masks. Oh and I certainly will admit mask removal is WAY easier and less messy (depending on how much serum is left) with sheet masks. That’s partly why I prefer peel-off masks. That and I have fun peeling them off.

Those of us addicts that get a lot of beauty boxes and products should set up a “sheets and sheets-not” swap so we could each get the maximum number of the type of masks we prefer from the boxes. 😄

        • Oh and one more thing. I totally agree about most clay masks. When I was younger and had combo/oily skin I loved them but being older with only slightly combo and leaning way more dry skin, I don’t enjoy or get much benefit from them now. I’ll use one occasionally if I have an oily cycle or a zit or two but I typically use hydrating and/or brightening masks as opposed to clay or any of the “deep cleaning” variety.
But you’re right about sheet masks being more hydrating which is another reason I really wished I liked them! 😄

        • I agree with you… but for me, I can’t stand the messiness of gel & modeling masks (all other wash off masks I like… and I like peel off masks too). For some reason, I’ve never had luck with those types of masks, and they just become a gloopy, drippy mess on me… even when I don’t put that much on! I think I just have a hot face or something that makes these types of masks melt off… so needless to say, these types of masks ALWAYS get gifted. lol

      • Hi Dani! 🙂
I’m pretty sure I only received like two sheet masks… maybe three, tops… basically the standard amount they include in their sub boxes. I actually love getting sheet faced, but I can’t stand the process of unfolding the masks then fitting them on my face. Those steps are definitely very messy & awkward for me! But once I got it on my face, I’m good 😀

        • Thanks, Luna! Yeah I don’t mind wearing them that much although they never seem to fit that well and they neglect the sides of my nose and oftentimes the area between my upper lip and bottom of nose. And removal is definitely a snap compared to traditional masks. I just feel like they’re so annoying and messy to unwrap and put on. So I only use them if they’re rumored to be super effective or fun like the ones that bubble. ☺️

          • If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend trying some sheet masks from Secret Garden. I think I’ve only ever seen them featured in Ipsy boxes or offers, but if you google Secret Garden Ampoule Sheet Masks, you’ll find them. I’m sure you’ve seen them before 🙂 I recently used two of them, and they are made of a super soft cotton material that has one of the best fits I’ve experienced… it sort of sucks itself onto my skin and doesn’t budge at all. It feels super wet, but doesn’t drip, and it leaves my skin super soft afterward. It’s a 2-step mask where you have to apply an ampoule first then the mask. I think it’s probably my new favorite sheet mask brand. 🙂

Masks also get gappy too on the sides of my nose, but while fitting my masks I just press and try to rub in some of the serum on the sides, then when I take off a mask, there’s usually plenty of serum left over for me to massage into the areas that were gappy. Nothing gets neglected. 😉 Also, have you ever thought about snipping a little slit on the eye holes to eliminate the gaps on the nose? That’ll work too!
