I too would like to see a review of at least one version of this box.
I think that we should refrain on passing judgement on people’s diets. What works for you might not work for others.

I agree My husband and all my family all eat meat.
But sometimes I feel judged when I am with them since they thing I am weird because I don’t eat meat.
I say live and let live I just do not like animal flesh. I don’t know why exactly but I don’t. My grandmother was vegetarian. Perhaps she influenced me.
I apologize if my comment sounded rude.

I’m with you, not because of finding meat gross or for any moral argument, but because large scale livestock farming is terrible for the environment.
Livestock farming contributes to land and water degradation, biodiversity loss, acid rain, coral reef degeneration and deforestation. It contributes 18% of human produced greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Raising the amount of livestock we do is just not sustainable with the current climate crisis.
If people cut down on their meat consumption it would be incredibly helpful to the environment.

I knew at least one holy roller vegan would show up…
Steve-O summed it up best on why shaming non vegans doesn’t work
“To all the combative, annoying vegans who are choosing to attack me for not forcing veganism on my cats, and for not being a strict, militant vegan myself (even though I haven’t eaten any meat other than fish for well over ten years), please consider that you’re doing more harm than good,” he wrote. “Maybe stop working so hard to pit people who are on your team against you. But I’ll take it a step further and say if you want to be a better advocate for the animals, maybe there is only really one team — vegans, meat-eaters, flexitarians, pescatarians, and even those people who find insects to be a legit source of protein. We’re all in this together. Bullying never makes things better. Finding common ground does. It moves the ball forward for everyone. It’s the only way to win.”

As a fellow vegetarian I agree with the statement but it’s nobody’s business what other people eat.

I can eat it by sitting on a chair at a table with knife and fork. Quite easy really. By the way I was a vegetarian from age sixteen in 1972 until 2007 which equals 35 years. I don’t eat pork, mainly it is chicken and lamb. My two daughters, who are both vegan, frequently guilt trip me, but I don’t feel the need to judge others about their dietary preferences as it is their choice and none of my business.

I was waiting for the self-righteous anti-meat eating commemy and you didn’t disappoint. If I saw a vegan box request to review I wouldn’t feel the the need to comment with an immature “bleech” or “sickening”– just scroll on

My husband gets us cases of steaks from a guy at work selling them as a side job. I wish I knew the name of this company. The case my husband brings home each month has 2 boxes of filets, 2 boxes of sirloins, 2 tbone boxes and 3 strip boxes. each box had 4 cuts in each. Me and my husband look forward to steak night each week. Last night we country fired our sirloins and I can not recommend this enough, it was the best way to cook them up yet. I am all about making dinner painless and the right meat box will make you look forward to making dinner.

We respect people who go vegan or vegetarian, but please respect us meat-lovers as well. It’s just different choices among different people.
Thank you

Another vegetarian here…I just want to say that I’m impressed that the meat eaters are so kind in their replies to this comment. Usually something like that would start a verbal war! Thank you, meat eaters. Respect goes both ways, no one has the right to judge another. Heck, I still cook meat for my son when he asks for it, he’s 12 and I don’t force my veg choice on him.
I came here to read the comments because I was curious how much interest there would be in the box. If I ate meat, I would like it.

I agree with you on this. If you want to be vegetarian or vegan, that’s your choice, and we won’t judge you for it. But please don’t judge, criticize, or belittle those of us who still do eat meat or other animal products.

It sounds great. However, you might want to specifically get opinions from people who live in cities, who don’t have neither easy access to quality meat, nor the time to find it (like my nephew, who is incredibly picky with the meat he eats, and spends top dollar to procure it).

I’m local to this company and they are very good. Cant speak to the value of the box though I can just go there. But it is good quality

No interest at all – it’s hard to imagine someone without access to a good butcher or fishmonger if they are interested in high quality stuff.
I find that the costs of shipping fresh food to raise the price to such an extent that for the same price I can go to the most expensive artisanal purveyor and buy exactly what I want which especially for fish and other seafood depends so much on what is highest quality on any particular day when the buyer goes to the wholesale fish market.

Personally, I’d rather go with a local farmer. For those that don’t have that option an occasional review would be nice to learn about the quality.

Doesn’t seem to matter what anyone votes, we see these “should we review this” post’s all the time but no matter the response I never see them reviewed.

Hi Jessica,
Sorry if you’ve missed the reviews! Here are some of the reviews we’ve done based on the response from MSA readers:
Also, we currently have 17 more reviews in the works based on feedback from these posts. Some boxes don’t ship immediately when ordered, others may take an entire month to review the service (like the Nuuly clothing rental subscription review Anna is working on), so that explains why there is sometimes a significant delay between when we ask for feedback and when the review is posted on the site. Sorry about that confusion!
