Pet Treater Cat Pack September 2019 Review

I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Booklet Front Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Booklet Back Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Sticker Top

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker. Sometimes there is also product literature although this month there wasn’t.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Bug Top

Petlinks Blinking Beetle – Retail Value $5.99

This is supposed to light up but it didn’t work (even though that little tab blocking the battery was still in place) so it was probably kind of old. The cats still enjoyed it as a tossing-around toy, especially with the wing texture, although the non-working lighting mechanism made it a little heavier than it otherwise would’ve been.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Chicken Treats Top

Prime Taste Treats, Chicken (35 g) – Retail Value $2.44

We have received these before and they are always well-liked. They are 7 individually wrapped stick treats but they are not hard or anything. You’re supposed to break off pieces for your cat, but what I do is let the cats bite the sticks because it makes for funnier pictures. These seemed fresh, they weren’t dried out at all.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Trout Treats Top

Prime Taste Treats, Trout (35g) – Retail Value $2.44

I have basically the same things to say about these as the chicken ones. Sneaky and Madison liked both equally well. Trout is a flavor you don’t see too often in cat treats but they didn’t smell too fishy or anything like that.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Hat Top

Hat

This didn’t have any kind of label or tag and no combination of search terms I came up with was useful (“black and white hat for cats” will turn up a lot of image search results but none of them were this item). Anyway, this is a nice change of pace from the kerchiefs. It is a finished, sewn item and will last a long time. Also I like putting hats on my cats.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Wand Top

Petlinks Leapin’ Lizard Wand Toy

This was only turning up on sites like bhg.com which I’m not even going to link to because it’s a junky advertising link aggregator site. What this probably means is it is discontinued. But that doesn’t really matter to the cats, and a toy can’t expire (you can always just spray some catnip spray on it to refresh it, if you need to). Anyway, Angus is a fan of wand toys and he had fun with this.

As you can see, Angus liked the wand toy.

Madison did not like the hat very much, but he thought the treats were good.

Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Monkey 1 Front Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Monkey 2 Front Pet Treater Cat September 2019 - Monkey 3 Front

Monkey also did not enjoy wearing the hat, although he did tolerate it better than expected, but he thought this toy’s wings were interesting.

Sneaky liked the wand as well (don’t tell her she has the same taste as Angus) and of course she loved the treats.

Verdict: I was unable to calculate a total value for the September 2019 Pet Treater Cat Pack since I had trouble finding some of the items online. There were five items, though, which makes the average price per item about $3. I think the hat is a lot better than the kerchiefs we’ve been receiving and the treats were well-liked, and I got some good cat photos this month, so all-in-all, I am happy.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first pack will ship immediately filled with the most popular fan favorites. Also, there may be some variation among boxes sent during the same month.

Value Breakdown: At $15 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately $3 per item.

Haha I’m dying at the pictures of the cats in the cat. I can’t imagine any cat would go for that, ever, but it’s so darn adorable.

that’s too bad about the beetle–mine lights up a pretty blue color!

treats were very well-liked–seriously…trout was maybe a bit softer than chicken, but, you’re right! no fishy smell!

hats and such are wasted at my house, wand toys are always well-received, though, so this one was a good one for bigger cats…

Haha, bhg dot com got turned into a link when the post was formatted.

Seriously, don’t go there, I’ve never found it to be useful at all and even if you see something you like, you can’t seem to ever actually buy it. I think it’s a clickbait advertising site.

The cat in the hat pictures did not disappoint. 🙂
