If anyone wants this calendar (or the other lower priced one that will follow), I recommend waiting. They didn’t sell out last year, and the 20% off friends and family event happens in November.

can the samples be any smaller? easy pass. I used to travel a lot of business and stayed at Four Season and they provide L’Occitane for shampoo, conditioner, soaps, etc. Since then L’Occitane associated to me as a hotel toiletry brand 🙂

The Canadian Sephora website still has last year’s advent calendar. I bought it during the Rouge sale (for about $35 US). A real steal. I love all the Verveine products!

I agree about hating those tiny bottles! They are impossible to get anything out of.

This is the luxe version. There will be a standard version with the same open book style as in year’s past. The spoilers are out for that one. It’s the only advent calendar I every buy.

Abby

Oh thanks Zo. I may take another look then.

$99?! I paid $59 3 years ago – and it looks like the items are the same size as the ones I got back then.
i think think this is a bit much – Rituals is $89 and the size and quality is far better, and i’m not being biased – I’ve spent a lot of money on Advent calendars and enjoy every bit of it.

Luna? What do you think?

lordandtaylor has such a great sale on Rituals plus 2 GWP I had to order! With 35$ spent on already 80% marked down sets, got 2 extra gifts (one from L&T and one from Rituals). red Ayurveda set smells like a dream and oh so luxurious

I added some to my cart, slept on it and by morning they had sold out. I’m sure it must be due to MSA members going over in hoards and sweeping them all up. We are a dangerous lot!

Marcia

Thank you so much for letting us know about the Lord & Taylor’s sale. I ordered several, got free shipping and the 2 free gifts.

Appreciate your sharing such a great tip!

Alison

Thank you for posting this! I picked up several sets for Christmas gifts. I got 7 sets plus the free gifts for less than the price of 2 sets at regular price.

I received the smaller L’Occitane advent as a gift last year, and I’m still working my way through it since I’m always on product overload, but I do enjoy their scents and use the minis to travel with. Not to hijack the thread, but Nika, thanks for the heads up on the Rituals deal! I picked up a few as stocking stuffers/gifts for the holidays!

Abby

I actually bought 2 calendars last year from them for my Mom and sis-in law. My fav is hammon.

Luna

Hi Abby! Personally, this is a pass for me, but that’s only because the L’Occitane calendars have never really been on radar. I mean, I do really love their products, but I’ve never been a fan of their sample sizes enough to consciously purchase them (now if they happen to appear in a sub box (have they ever?) or gwp, then cool!). One main reason I’m not a fan of their samples is that I easily get frustrated trying to get the product out from those small, hard plastic bottles that have no give. lol Plus, since they’re usually body related (at least the samples I’ve received) I tend to go through them far too quickly. However, considering how much they sell their sample sets in the store, I can totally see how a big L’Occitane fan who enjoys those sets would find great value in this calendar. 🙂

hi luna!! you are so right about those ‘the struggle is real’ plastic bottles, and don’t let your hands be moist, it becomes a work out.
i love their products, but i can’t justify this purchase when the Rituals has items double the size.
also the UK gets 2 advent calendars from l’occitane – a moderate priced one, and a more expensive one – and we’re only getting the expensive one.
oh well, i’ll be okay – i’m still waiting for the yankee candle calendar, and i think i deserve to get diptyque because i’ve been a good girl this year 🙂
