For all of you that apparently don’t follow up and just listen to whatever is put on the page Wet and Wid is cruelty free.https://www.peta.org/about-peta/faq/is-wet-n-wild-cruelty-free/
Try to research and dont be a bunch of followers for once.

PETA is not the cruelty-free standard – they are solicited by a company to determine if a they are cruelty-free and if the company says “Yup, we’re CF” – they’re approved. According to their website, they trust companies because it would be bad PR if they were lying.

Wet N’ Wild is selling in Mainland China, and has stated they will pull out IF they are required to test on animals, but “should” be notified before that happens. To me that seems very unlikely that they would be notified prior to animal testing or at all, and if they were notified they would lose huge profits by pulling out of a market they are making money in. China law states that companies that get complaints about products are required to be pulled and tested on animals. So, any company that sells in Mainland China directly is therefore subject to that testing.

Additionally, they lied about selling in China when asked about it initially, and did not handle the situation in a way I feel comfortable with. They did not respond to posters directly, they deleted many comments and questions, and did not answer questions until the tide of public opinion required them to do so. To me that makes their CF status questionable.

You can feel free to purchase where you choose to. You can also feel free to do your own research, but going on the brands website is not always the most accurate source of information.

I am so sad about WnW not being cruelty free anymore. So I went to read up on it and found this
https://www.peta.org/about-peta/faq/is-wet-n-wild-cruelty-free/

On Google I just typed wet n wild cruelty free 2019 and on the Google results page it had this one listed as August 4, 2019. So now I’m confused. I wonder if the PETA page is wrong

You are correct. I’m boycotting this nasty brand.

Is Wet N Wild Cruelty Free 2019?

{UPDATE: MAY 21, 2019} Unfortunately, Wet N Wild can no longer be considered cruelty-free since they have decided to start selling their products in-stores in Mainland China. Wet N Wild was caught selling their products in-stores in mainland China and was recently exposed by Cruelty-Free Kitty.Sep 25, 2017

What? I will look into Wet n Wild testing on animals. FYI, NARS started testing their products on animals in order to profit from the Chinese market. I wonder if Wet n Wild are doing the same. If so, it is a totally unnecessary and barbaric practice. Shame on Wet n Wild if they have done this.

Yup. They still claim to be, but I don’t feel I can trust them as a company with their lack of transparency.

I do the same. Unfortunately I usually discover my HGs after the are discontinued, so it’s quite a challenge finding them.

Meh, no. I was hoping they’d have some of the items they discontinued like my favorite “Bronzer” which is more like a highlighter “Reserve Your Cabana”. I don’t know why they discontinued it. I loved their Fergie line too. Don’t get me wrong I think they’ve really stepped up their quality & the items they create are really great for a “drug store brand” but there’s items they should’ve kept because there were so many great products. No wonder I hoard certain favorite products! Everything I like gets discontinued.

Linda, I’m not sure where you’re located but I’m in NC and they do still sell it at Dollar General. I love this product too! I hope you’re able to find it.

Reserve Your Cabana is actually still available through Ulta. Not really sure why they stopped carrying it in stores, however.
