Sephora Favorites: Frizz Fighters Kit Review

Sephora Frizz Fighters briogeo

Briogeo™ Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray, 0.75 oz - Estimated Value $3.86 (Buy the 1.75 oz version for $9)

If I am not mistaken, I had the full-size version of this at one point thanks to FabFitFun. I'll take the mini, as this is a solid leave-in conditioner that doesn't weigh my hair down. It has a blend of rosehip, coconut, and argan oils to smooth your strands and fight frizz, and it has a light scent that I find pleasant.

Sephora Frizz Fighters deva curl

DevaCurl® Melt Into Moisture™ Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask, 1.5 oz - Estimated Value $6.75 (Buy the 8 oz version for $36)

I have tried this before, and I am happy to have more of it- if money grew on trees, I would own this in the full size. This is made with matcha butter (not sure what that is but I'll roll with it), coconut oil, and sweet almond oil, and whenever my hair is feeling coarse or tangled this helps to melt away any knots and leaves it soft and smooth.

Sephora Frizz Fighters igk

IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $4.41 (Buy the 1.7 oz version for $15)

I am familiar with IGK, and I was impressed with this hydrating hair balm after using it. If you have hair that leans oily you probably won't like this thicker leave-in conditioner, but my curls soaked it up. I rubbed a small bit between my palms to warm it up before finger combing it through damp hair, and my hair was happy.

Sephora Frizz Fighters living proof

Living proof.® No Frizz Humidity Shield, 1.8 oz - Retail Value $15

If this product is a win for you, think of getting everything else in this kit for $3! I don't use hairsprays often because crunchy curls aren't my vibe, but I really enjoyed how weightless this was on my curls while still fighting the south Louisiana humidity. I'm a fan!

Sephora Frizz Fighters oil 1 Sephora Frizz Fighters oil 2

Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $8.23 (Buy the 0.85 oz version for $15)

I love when I receive products in subscription boxes that I have purchased before- this argan oil treatment is one of them! This definitely adds softness and shine to my hair, and it doesn't make my hair greasy, either (granted, if you don't have curly hair use a tiny, tiny bit and add more if necessary).

Sephora Frizz Fighters verb

Verb® Ghost Shampoo, 0.33 oz - Estimated Value $0.44 (Buy the full-size version for $16)
Verb® Ghost Conditioner, 0.33 oz - Estimated Value $0.44 (Buy the full-size version for $16)

I really like Verb- all of their full-size products are only $16, and the Ghost oil and Ghost hair mask are products I use regularly in my routine. The Ghost line does a good job of hydrating hair without weighing it down, and I will be holding onto this foil sample duo for the next time I travel.

The Verdict: If you have frizzy hair, this Sephora Favorites kit is a great way to try out products to help tame it. I thought all of the products included performed well, and I was happy to find brands like Living proof., DevaCurl, and Moroccanoil inside. I calculated a total value of $39.12, which is even with the promised value of $39

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this is still available.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $23.95 ($18 + $5.95 shipping) and had a total value of $39.12, which means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Briogeo: $2.36
  • Devacurl: $4.13
  • IGK: $2.70
  • Moroccanoil: $5.04
  • Living Proof: $9.18
  • Verb: $0.27 x2

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

The hero item of the box is an alcohol containing hair spray, which is a cause of frizz for some hair types. I went to the website to look into this more and thought that this quote was kinda funny in a marketing/don’t believe what your eyes are telling you way, “Is there alcohol in No Frizz Humidity Shield? Yes, but because it is an aerosol it’s such a fine mist that the alcohol evaporates, so it is not drying or dulling. There are no negative effects of the alcohol on your hair.” Hahaha thanks but no thanks living proof.
