Orglamix August 2019 “Superberry” Box Review
This month’s theme is “Superberry.” Let’s see how Orglamix incorporated that theme into the month’s items:
The box came with an information card detailing the items and theme for August. It sometimes also lists ingredients, which is nice since these items aren’t typically available in their online shop.
Superberry Hydrate + Glow Sleep Mask – Listed Value $18
This has a consistency that reminds me a little of the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (of which I still have about 100 from various subscription boxes). I do tend to like more gel-like moisturizers since I have oily skin and gels hydrate without making things worse. I’ve used this in place of my evening moisturizer for a few nights now and it is not irritating my skin (which is somewhat sensitive) and I do think it is making my skin nice and soft.
Superfood Nail Repair Oil – Listed Value $12.50
My nails are not in great shape and I am happy to try any product that claims to help with that issue. Of course, nails grow so slowly that I could use the whole bottle before I would be able to tell if it worked. But, it can’t hurt. One word of warning, though: this is a little on the thin side, so don’t use a computer or electronic device with your hands after you’ve applied this.
Acai Fusion Sugar Balm Scrub – Listed Value $16
The price from the information card does seem a little steep for the amount you get, compared to some premium brands of scrubs. That being said, it’s a nice product with a pleasant smell and a good formula (by my standards – it’s low on the oil and it doesn’t leave much in the way of residue on your skin after you rinse it off). I will pretty much never complain about a scrub, though, as they’re my favorite items to receive.
Berry Smoothie Shea Butter Soap – Listed Value $6
I showed you a side view so you could see that this isn’t a full thickness bar of soap. It’s maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of a regular bar size. But, there’s still enough here to be useful and it’s very pretty (I’m a sucker for pretty soaps) and it smells great as well. I’m using it as a hand soap since I already have 4 bars open in my shower…
Berry Good Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50
You’ll usually get a loose mineral eyeshadow in Orglamix and it will typically be a custom shade that isn’t available in their shop. This is a lovely color, if a bit bold for me. I can probably tone it down a bit more by blending it with a neutral color. I find that these do blend very well and also are long-lasting as long as you choose a good primer.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $65 for the August Orglamix subscription box. The items this month were all exclusive for this box, so I had to rely on the information card. Some of the values do seem a little inflated (the scrub, maybe the soap), but you are still coming out ahead even if you decrease the values a bit, and I did enjoy trying out every item from the box – they are all useful to me.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, this was August’s box and they say they ship around the 10th (in practice, it may be a week or two after that before the box actually ships, although this month’s box was received somewhat later than usual). You’d probably get the September box as your first one.
