Nomadik "Weekend Camping Essentials" July 2019 Review

We received a little booklet with a product list and some brand discounts.

Bennkai Foldable Waist Pack - Estimated Value $24.00 (similar found here)

I was wondering when my first subscription box fanny pack would arrive! This one is lightweight and folds up into a small pouch, making it very versatile. I know the cool kids wear these slung across their chests now, but I might be too old school for that. I recently adopted a rather large dog, and I now know the value of being able to carry essentials around hands-free. This should come in handy on long walks or trips into dog-friendly events that require me to have poop bags, important cards, and my phone closeby but still have use of both of my hands to hold Tucker's leash.

Mizu Camp Cup - Retail Value $17.95

I don't drink coffee, but to my husband, it is LIFE. He also really loves metal mugs. Whatever makes him happy! This mug is double insulated and made of stainless steel, meaning he can enjoy that hot cup without burning his hands.

DIY Patch Kit by NOSO - Retail Value $4.99

Over the last two or so years, Will and I have been really interested in buying less clothing and being pickier about the quality and origins of where our clothes come from. This means when we make a more expensive purchase, we are much more focused on making them last as long as possible! Will works outside a lot, has a pretty physical job, and loads of outdoor interests that make holes and cuts in clothing pretty inevitable. While I might invest in a nice subdued black version of this kit for his items specifically, I love that you can cut these sheets to cool shapes or whatever size you need.

Rubber Twist Gear Ties - Retail Value $4.49

Ahhh! These are so useful in our house that always feels filled with cords! These easy-to-bend rubber ties are perfect for wrangling laptop cords, iPhone chargers, anything!

Verdict: Nomadik always has the coolest and most useful gear! The overall value this month is around $51.43, which is good for a $32.95 box. This is one of those subs that is quality over quantity, and for my minimal husband, that is a formula that works. Every single item this month is very practical and cleverly designed.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

The cup was the only thing interesting in this one. I tried to cancel after this and they ignored my cancellation and charged me for another month, then fought about a refund and cancellation. Boxes are supposed to be up to $70 value and only the welcome box has come close. The lackluster boxes were bad enough, but their customer service is terrible. I do not recommend getting this one started.

This box was a complete miss- the fanny pack is too small to be useful – i think it was made for a kid! Seriously, it barely fits around my waist and you can’t put much in it.

The Mizu mug is a repeat from April of 2018. They sent the same exact mug.

The gear ties are also repeats.

That mug is so sleek.

I know right? I didn’t realize how much I would love a piece without some brand logo or writing all over it. Refreshing!
