Naturisimo Extreme Purity Discovery Box Review
This box didn't come with a traditional info sheet, but it did come with a reminder to sign up for their newsletter. It looks like their discovery boxes will be offered monthly, which is a delight.
Inika Loose Mineral Bronzer in Sunkissed, 3.5 g - Full-Size! Retail Value $27.78 (£23.00)
Inika is a cruelty-free mineral makeup brand, and this bronzer alone is worth more than the cost of the entire box. It is vegan, free of parabens, phthalates, and perfumes, and the shade "Sunkissed" adds a nice warmth of color without being too dark on my fair skin. It leans a little orange swatched on my arm, but the orange disappears once I blend it out.
Alima Pure Concealer in Linen, 2g - Full-Size! Retail Value $18.12 (£15.00)
I have never used mineral concealer before now, and I actually quite liked it. I thought it added a nice, light level of coverage over acne marks and other discoloration when I was wearing tinted moisturizer, and it didn't feel like I had concealer caked on. "Linen" is described as a light-medium neutral, but I thought it worked fine on my fair skin. The only thing I didn't like about this was the packaging- it is incredibly difficult to get product out, and I basically have to just flip it upside down and shake it over a densely packed brush.
Here is the concealer swatched above the bronzer.
Fushi Wild Marula Oil, 10 ml - Estimated Value $6.76 (Buy the full-size 50 ml for £28.00)
This is pure marula oil, which is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. A tiny bit of this goes a long way, but my skin absolutely drinks this up.
Weleda One-Step Cleanser & Toner, 10 ml - Estimated Value $2.29 (Buy the full-size 3.4 fl oz for $19.99)
I like Weleda, but this was a bit of a letdown. This is essentially a micellar water that you don't need to rinse off, and it works well enough for that. Where this goes wrong for me is that added fragrance is the second ingredient on the list after water, which is just unnecessary and potentially irritating to sensitive skin.
Henné Organics Lip Mask, 3.5 ml - Retail Value $5
This is the best lip mask I have ever used, bar none. It is better than the lip masks from Laneige, Bite Beauty, and a whole slew of others I have tried over the years. It's deeply nourishing and hydrating without feeling goopy, and the hydration lasts longer on my lips than any other brand. A tiny bit of this goes a long way, so even though this sample is small and I have been using it daily I have barely made a dent in it.
Dr. Jackson 03 Everyday Oil, 10 ml - Estimated Value $16.91 (Buy the 25 ml for £35.00)
I am always hesitant when I see oil blends for fear that coconut oil will make an appearance (it is an acne trigger for me, your mileage may very), but this is coconut oil-free and full of other oils like almond, rosehip, and baobab seed oil which are rich in oleic and linoleic acids. Combined, this is a soothing oil that can also help treat acne or other skin irritations. A little bit of this goes a long way, and I like using it as the last step in my skincare routine to seal everything in.
Inlight Cleanser, Tonic & Face Oil samples
Inlight is a luxe UK skincare brand, so while receiving foil packets like these aren't my favorite, at least I know the next time I travel I will have some quality skincare samples to use.
Pukka Green Matcha Tea Bags, 4 sachets - Buy 20 for $4.99
My first introduction to Pukka was through Naturisimo, and they are now one of my favorite tea brands. You can buy them at Target, and I definitely recommend picking up their Lemon, Ginger, and Manuka Honey tea if you get the chance. Matcha tea isn't something I reach for often, but these individually packaged tea bags will be waiting for me when the desire strikes.
The Verdict: I think this box from Naturisimo was another winner! This was a fun way to try brands that are hard to get here in the US, and I love that the bronzer alone is worth more than the cost of the entire box. I calculated a total estimated value of $76.86, which is a touch below the promised value of $84 but does not include the value of the teas or foil samples... Also, can we appreciate the fact that this box came with free international shipping?
