My Paper Box August 2019 Review
This month my box came with some custom stickers. These are cute and small and while I have no use for them, I like them. I tend to collect stickers more than I stick them onto things.
Every month, My Paper Box sends me a calendar page for my picture frame. I love this month’s: the light pink and the font make this one my favorite design yet.
My Paper Box also sends an insert that lists holidays. Just to name a few, we get to celebrate Sisters Day, Kiss and Make Up Day and Bow Tie Day this month. While these aren’t necessarily “national” holidays, I enjoy reading about the different ones and trying to celebrate somehow; whether it’s sending a card or a text message to someone special.
This month, My Paper Box sent me 3 cards. This month, they are all vertical cards and are sparkly. Two of them are blank and one already has a greeting on the inside. All of them are paired with coordinating envelopes.
Thanks for Making My Life Sparkle Card
I don’t know how I feel about the design on the card. It kind of looks like something nature-like but I really think it is a piece of gold. This card is paired with a white envelope and is blank on the inside.
Kiss & Make Up Card
I liked this card but I loved the envelope! The card is simple and it’s cute plus it corresponds with the holiday on the insert they sent me. Now, for me, I would only send this card to my husband and maybe my sister depending on the situation. But at the moment I am not in a disagreement with either of them so I guess I will be holding on to it for a little while. But this envelope! I love the sheer grey and white marble design. I may end up using the envelope before I use the card.
Pink & Gold Balloon Card
This is my favorite card I received in my box. I love that the balloon print is on the front and back and that they are pink, gold, pink, gold. The gold balloons are also sparkly! The inside has a simple message: Have a sparkling birthday. I will definitely be using this card!
Diamond Pen & Extra Ink Cartridge
This may sound silly, but I have kind of always wanted a pen like this. I just like the little bit of bling on top. This ballpoint pen has a thin rose gold barrel and writes in black ink. The jewel on top does make the pen a little heavy and once I really started using it, I could feel the weight of the jewel on top. I will probably save this pen for when I have to use my autograph – on FedEx packages and certified mail 😊 I do love that I received an extra ink cartridge too!
Bag of Glitter
Glitter can be a lot of fun! I am saving this glitter for the sparkling birthday card. My daughter’s best friend’s birthday is in December and I am saving both the card and glitter for then. It will be extra magical when the glitter comes out. The glitter sparkles in pink, silver and purple.
I have a love-hate relationship with stickers. As I continue to get older (because it is inevitable) I start to not really like them on every single thing. Also, once you stick a sticker it doesn’t stick the same way again and I lose a favorite sticker. I would rather save them to always admire them – especially these. I love the different jewel shapes and the way my name is in different fonts on the different jewels. While I haven’t stuck them to anything (and probably won’t) I do like looking at these and have put them up.
Personalized Jewel Note Pad
I love this notepad! I never knew I liked jewel things so much! This pad measures at 3 ½ inches by a little under 5” and has 26 pages. This jewel-filled notepad has my name in the bottom corner in a font that I love seeing my name in. My new notepad is perfect for work since I use notepads a lot to make reminders, for making a checklist or just for a note. I couldn’t wait to use my jeweled pen on my jeweled notepad!
Personalized Lined Notepad
Ahh!! I really like this one too! The top and bottom are decorated with what looks like smeared, glittery lip gloss or nail polish and I am pretty sure I have a lipstick that is the exact same color. My name is smaller and in the middle compared to the last notepad I got. This notepad is also lined – my favorite kind of notepad. The lines really help keep my writing straight and they work so well for checklists (I live by checklists!). This notepad measures at 4 ¾ inches by 7 ½ inches and has 29 pages.
Verdict: I loved this month’s My Paper Box Grand subscription! The glitter and jewels were so much fun and I literally kept mind-singing Rihanna’s “Diamond” while photographing and composing this review. Even though I am not a lover of stickers, I like the ones I got in this month’s box. While this box may seem high in price point, I really feel that the value comes with the personalization of each one. Especially with the stickers! I really feel like each and every box is carefully curated for each and every subscriber. This has quickly grown to be one of my favorite subscriptions.
