The theme this month is "The Perfect Beat" and I received 3 brushes.

E9

E9 Oval Foundation Brush (Synthetic) - Retail Value $10.00

I haven't been wearing foundation for a few months, but that is sure to change after summer is over. I did put on a full face to test this brush out though, and I was quite impressed. The oval shape grabs a ton of product and the super dense head is soft enough to apply it on my skin without any hard edges. I thought the oval shape was really well suited to getting coverage into those harder to reach places, specifically around my eyes. I actually struggled with grabbing too much foundation in the first few passes and had to go back with a fluffier brush and buff the excess out.

E53

E53 Pro Pointed Powder Brush (Synthetic) - Retail Value $15.00

I have yet to meet a powder-centric brush I didn't really like if not love, and this is no exception. This brush is fluffy, yet pointed enough to make sure your powder, blush, or highlighter is landing exactly where you want it to. It grabs a ton of powder very easily, which was another plus! Along with using this with a translucent powder, I also used it with a fave powdered highlighter and this look was so soft, dewy, and diffused that I plan on making this a regular player in my brush arsenal.

M557 Mini Detail Contour Brush (Natural) - Retail Value $7.00

Finally, our last brush is a cute little mini contour brush with natural black fibers. I don't usually ever contour because my face is going to look super round regardless of what I do. I did decide to give it a try for this review though, using the tarte PRO Glow To Go palette since that contour is a little cooler than some other shades I have close by. While the look wasn't great—mainly due to user error!—the brush itself performed beautifully, buffing out my streakiness and actually making my contour hack job look much better than it should have. I never see myself being a total contour addict in terms of carving out cheekbones, but I do sometimes scatter some around my hairline and under my jaw, so this brush will get some mileage for sure!

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club was, once again, super fun to play with. I am quickly becoming quite the brush enthusiast! The quickest way to get me excited in this brush subscription has been the fluffy brushes, and this continues to be the case. I love that pointed powder brush so much! The oval foundation will get more use when the weather again turns cold and I look for more full-face coverage. I also surprisingly enjoyed that little contour brush. I feel like it would be the perfect "learner's" brush if I ever decided I can carve out some cheekbones. Overall, this month has a retail value of $32, which is $12 more than the $20 subscription cost.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
