The Fall 2019 Designed Life Delivered box includes:

As the days grow shorter and the leaves begin to change color, there is no greater feeling than knowing sweater weather is almost here. Fall brings about so many changes in our environment and our daily lives, and we’ve put together a decor box that perfectly embodies the changing season.

Woven Baskets

Set of 2 woven grass baskets in tan with black accent. Perfect for fall decorating: stuff with your favorite potpourri, use as a catch all for keys or mail in the foyer, or serve your trick or treaters from them. These baskets are incredibly versatile, and their nesting design makes them easy to store when not in use.

Serving Plate

Rectangular ceramic serving platter with gold and bronze accents. Perfect for serving appetizers or charcuterie to guests. Dishwasher safe but we recommend hand washing and drying to preserve longevity.

Measuring Spoons

Set of 4 aluminum spoons. Great for mixing cream or sugar in your morning coffee on a chilly Fall morning. Can also be used for your everyday baking, or set out with our serving platter as a beautiful finishing touch at your next party. Hand wash and dry to preserve longevity.

Slotted Tea Mug

Tall ceramic mug with cut out for tea bag. Perfect for warming up next to the fire or while relaxing with your favorite Fall book.

Tea Towels

Set of two hand towels. Soft and luxurious for drying hands during the cool days of fall. They also look great hanging over an oven door handle or as an accent in a powder room. Waffle pattern provides beautiful texture and visual interest.

Elongated Teak Bowl

Wooden serving vessel made of teak. This sturdy piece can be used stand alone to add a natural element to any coffee or side table. Can also be used at your next Fall gathering to serve your favorite small bites. Hand wash and hand dry to preserve longevity.

Felt Garland + Fuzzy Pear

The perfect soft touch to bring Fall and the reminder of its bounty into your home. Felt garland with gold and white circles provide a beautiful accent to your mantle or side table, or combine with other accents to create visual interest in any room.

Why does msa keep deleting comments on this thread?

The owners of this subscription have probably worked hard to start this box so let’s give them a chance by reviewing this. I am a small business woman who understands the ups and downs of entrepreneurship and would welcome an honest review.

Donna

Maybe you should go ahead and review this box, Liz. To be far all around

Thank you for your comment! We appreciate it!

I agree…With Claire.

Nanci

Did you buy one? If not then you don’t have much right to tell others to give it a chance. Also dishonest snarky posts by the owner don’t give me a lot of faith in her ability to run a business. But please let us know how you love your 150.00+ box.

Claire

Nanci, I did not tell others to buy, what I said was give the box a chance by reviewing it so we can get a better idea of whether it is worth subscribing to.

I wish vendors/owners would skip posting. It never seems to go well. Owners are definitely going to be upset at perceived slights and it just ends up with arguments with potential customers. Not a solid business plan.

The response by the owner sounds very Decoterie. Anyone who remembers that debacle will know what I’m talking about. Just waiting for the “truthy Tuesday” rant to start!

Jessica

I would love to see it reviewed.

Wow! Why were so many comments deleted?

Reply ButtonReply

Nanci

The owner must have asked for her comments to be deleted and anyone who replied got deleted as well. My comment is still here but my reply to the owner is gone.

Reply ButtonReply

Claire

Pamela, do you know how many?

Pamela

A lot 10+. The owner of the sub box made several comments and then there were comments of people telling her they’re just giving her an honest opinion of her box. Other comments of how ridiculously expensive it was. I never thought this site deleted comments.

AH

These items may be premium, high quality, however, $175 for $299 value in items is ~only~ a good deal if you will use ALL the items. I love the teak bowl, and like the measuring spoons, but don’t find the other items to be particularly interesting or unique/one-of-a-kind. (Tea towels? Been in tons of sub boxes. Another mug? Easy pass.) So while the quality may be there, I’d rather spend my money to purchase a few quality items that I know I’ll like, rather than take a risk on spending $175 on a box where there will likely be some misses.

I think this is a tough type of box to market. Everyone wants “a deal” on items in sub boxes, and people’s taste in home decor varies so much that it’s going to be hard to find a box that pleases a majority. For $50 or $75 I’d be willing to take a risk, but for $175 I’m not…no matter how high quality the items may be.

No freaking way. There is no way that this box is in high demand. Nice try but no. Just say no to this kind of nonsense.

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

I really like the items, but cant really afford it at that price point. I wish I could…

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

Nope.

For that price, I’m just going to go shopping and buy things that I want lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Here’s the thing: When I want high end decorative accessories, I go to Neiman’s and bespoke artisan shops and I pick out the things which reflect MY TASTES and are truly limited edition items of excellent quality, not some Etsy ” fuzzy pear” thing.

This is totally ridiculous and I believe they are using this site as their marketing head start.

” Just say no”, MSA!

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

I might not even classify these as high end or one of a kind. Looking at the pics you can see the tea towels are from Bloomingville (which sell for 13 a pair on Amazon). How is this high end or one of a kind? This is sourced from a company that mass manufacturers their goods…and these goods are probably manufactured in China, maybe they paid 1.5 dollars more for better quality but still there’s nothing special about these items. You can google all these items and find 50+ sellers to buy this stuff from online.

And if they used this site for marketing then they need to go back and think of a new strategy because this price point doesn’t work for most people who have subscriptions. Sure there will be some who subscribe just like there’s some who sub to Trish Paytas’s ridiculous box.

Lastly and most importantly, if you have a subscription box you need to cater to potentially thousands of people which means that whatever you source to go into your box needs to be mass produced. End of story.

Wow, not for that price. Maybe $50.

Reply ButtonReply

Vile

No way! That’s way too expensive. $50 would be fair. I have another home decor sub for 40/season and it has 4-6 items. There’s another one that’s coordinated home sets for 60/box.

It’s overstock and not not one-of-a-kind.

Amy

I was super excited until I saw the price. It’s out of my price range, but definitely worth reviewing. I’d read it for ideas. 🙂

We appreciate all of the feedback and take it to heart! This is a premium box service, and the items are a far higher quality than you could buy at target or home goods. We take pride in our selections, and make sure they will fit in a variety of styles! We are also debuting a mini box coming soon. Join our mailing list to be the first to hear about it!

I don’t get the expectation for every subscription box to be a good deal where the price is cheap but value is high. The reason makeup and food boxes are so cheap is because the idea is to expose you to the brand and get you to buy their products at full price once you use up the item from the box.

Everyone complaining about the price point because it doesn’t compare to beauty boxes doesn’t seem to realize that this is not really a comparable product. If you want a cheap home box, you aren’t going to get quality items at all. The items here actually look like great quality, which means they are going to cost some coin.

That said, I likely wouldn’t sub to a home box without knowing what is in it, which defeats the purpose of sub boxes to me. My tastes aren’t always going to fit something like this. This is the same for me with Happy Rebel. At $100/box, it’s too much of a gamble to dislike something, and I often dislike or don’t need half the box so there isn’t a point to it for me.

I don’t really subscribe to many boxes any more anyway because the quality always seems to go down over time because it isn’t feasible to constantly meet the expectation of all of the people who want to pay cheap prices and get a high return on the cost of items in the box. So, people get everything manufactured really cheaply and inflate the value of the items to try to make everyone happy. I think that’s why we’ve seen all of these boxes fail. It’s just not feasible long-term outside of beauty/consumables when the market carries the same expectations across every type of sub box.

Claire

Liz, again I am requesting that you review the British Beauty Box. Is there any impediment to securing this box for review? I am subscribed and it is beyond my expectations. The full size skincare and hair products are high end and so luxurious. It is expensive at $65 per quarter, yet seeing the products it is well worth it. For instance, Beautyfix pales in comparison.

Del

I’ve sent 3 emails requesting that they add this box to the swaps page but it never happened. I finally gave up on it😪 the box is so worth it. I love it and customer service is A+++

Reply ButtonReply

Claire

I think there must be some impediment to MSA reviewing it, so they are being quiet on this. It’s a shame really.

tfanous

I agree–British Beauty Box is fantastic. I also love another British box, Mintd.

I wish MSA would also review Kleverpark Box, which has organic products from Italy. I have gotten a couple of their bimonthly boxes so far

Reply ButtonReply

Claire

I didn’t know Mintd was a British box. I never took any notice of any info. on it here! I’ll have to take a look at the reviews. And thanks for letting me know. The BBB CS response is lightning fast, especially on Facebook. I have a vested interest in British sub. boxes because I’m English!!

Molly Honchell

They just priced themselves right out of the market! Someone, please come up with a cool home box that is a deal. Just like getting great beauty products for cheap thanks to subscription boxes…I want the same in a home box!

Beccah

I love everything but it’s way too expensive

Reply ButtonReply

Emilia

CAD $50 tops.

Stephanie

Ooh la la

Reply ButtonReply

Elaine

I was getting excited as I scrolled through the items and then I saw the price. For $50, maybe, but no way to this price tag.

I wish Joanna Gaines/Magnolia had a box – now that, I might actually do.

SusanY

Someone doesn’t understand what “one-of-a-kind” means. The box is way overpriced. Too many other places selling these same “one-of-a-kind” items for much cheaper.
