Confetti Grace is a DIY craft subscription that sends a box filled with enough craft supplies to create 2 of the same featured projects. That way, you have one to keep for yourself and one to give away. “Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti” is this company's motto, and these projects give the gift of quality time with family and friends. To top it off, 20% of net profits are donated to worldwide charities!

August 2019 Confetti Grace Original DIY Box

My boys usually like to help me with this box, but they were having a day out with dad, so I had a little much needed mama time to create! August’s box included all of the needed supplies to create 2 wood wall decor pieces, and 2 greeting cards.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Instruction Sheet Top

Every month, this box comes with an instruction sheet detailing the steps to take to create the included projects. I find the pictures most helpful, but if extra assistance is needed, their website is also very valuable.

Project #1: Wooded Decor

The first project is 2 beautiful framed wreath wood signs. The directions were straight forward, it wasn’t complicated, and they turned out beautifully.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Wood Frames Top

Wood Frames

The largest part of our first project was these wooden frames. These 8” X 8” frames are actually wood canvases used in a different way. I’m not sure of the brand or type of wood used, so I couldn’t find an accurate retail value, but they seem well made.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Felt Flowers Top

Felt Flowers

Like the wood frames, there are so many different felt flowers I couldn’t find the exact retail value. They are layers of felt that form beautiful, bright flowers with scalloped leaves. These are definitely my favorite item in the box!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Avery Disappearing Color Glue Stic Top

Avery Disappearing Color Glue Stic, 0.26 oz - Retail Value - $2.07

The next supplies included are the glue stick (for adhering the card together), the fasteners for the back of the wood canvas, and the glue dots to adhere the flowers to the wood.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Apple Barrel Antique Parchment Acrylic Paint Front

Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint in Antique Parchment, 2 oz - Retail Value - $0.99

Like I have said before, I love Apple Barrel acrylic paint, and this subscription is upping my supply! We use this American-made paint on for so many crafts! We love getting it because we have extras for other projects!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Plaid Mod Podge Matte Front

Plaid Mod Podge Matte, 2 fl oz - Retail Value $1.67

I love Mod Podge and always welcome it in subscription boxes! We use this stuff for so many crafts! It’s easy to use and dries great! It really made this project easy!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Paint Brush Top

Like I said above, Confetti Grace sends almost everything you need to complete these beautiful projects. I have a stockpile of paintbrushes from this subscription and I’m not even mad! They wash up nicely and the kids love using them for their paintings!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Wreath and Font Top

This is the wreath and font cutout that we will be putting in our frames. We have the choice between “Grateful” and “Home.”

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Bags Top

I love these shabby chic bags to package the gifts in. They are roomy and simple yet beautiful. I always feel good giving these gifts to their recipients in these pretty packages!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Paint in Plate Top

The first step in making this project is to cover your workspace. Acrylic paint will dry and can stain. We use old placemats and they work great!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Painting Inside, Edges and Outer Edges Top

I went ahead and painted the inside, edges, and outer edges of my frame. They noted on the instructions you could change it up a bit and paint the other side, or even not paint it at all. It is completely up to you!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Painting Side

It was a little trickier painting the edge, but as long as you go slow and take your time you will complete the feat splatter free!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Laid Out To Dry Top

After I finished painting the frames, I let them dry for about an hour.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Mod Podge Top

After the paint is completely dry, you take your washed paintbrush and add the Mod Podge. Because it dries clear, you cover the entire inside surface with this.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Putting on Wreath Top

While the Mod Podge is still wet, you place the wreath in your desired position. I followed the directions and placed it in the middle.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Adding Font Top

After the wreath is in place, you are able to add your font. I placed one straight across, while I changed the other one up a bit and added it at a bit of an angle. As soon as the font is placed, you are to apply another coat of Mod Podge to make sure everything stays in place. It looks opaque on the lettering at first, but trust me, it will dry clear.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Finished Wreath Top

As soon as the Mod Podge is dry, you peel the back of the glue dots off and stick them to your felt flowers in the desired locations. I chose to keep all of the blue flowers and pink flowers together. I then used a hammer and inserted the hanger on the back of the decor for hanging. And that is it!

Project #2: Popsicle Cards

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Card Supplies Top

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Gluestick Top

This month’s cards are sooo “cool!” ← Get it?! They feature cute little cutout popsicles! First, you glue the popsicle onto its stick on the card in the desired location.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Fisrt Popsicle Top

How cute does this look?!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - All Three Popsicle Top

Continuing on, you glue until all 3 of your popsicles are in place.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - All Three Popsicle with Font Top

For the next step, you gently peel the backing off the adhesive font and stick in place on the card.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Back Sticker Added Top

After your card is complete you can add the handmade sticker to the back so your lucky recipient knows it was made especially for them by you.

Confetti Grace August 2019 - Finished Cards Top

Here are my finished cards. They seem a little simple compared to some of the previous cards, but they are cute and fitting for the month of August!

Confetti Grace August 2019 - All Items Complete Top

And this is the August Confetti Grace box completed. I created 2 beautiful felt flower wreath signs, and 2 adorable popsicle signs, and have the gift bags to give them in!

Verdict: Confetti Grace is always a great time. This month was a little lonely because my kids weren’t home to help, but it was fun to have some quiet time. I found these projects to be very simple, but pretty. I had everything completed in less than an hour and a half (it would have been a lot shorter if it weren’t for drying time.) The cards were really cute, but I feel this month was a little underwhelming compared to last month. I can’t wait to see what September brings!

Confetti Grace costs $28.95 a month, so each gift package averages out to about $14.48. I feel this is a pretty good value because they include everything but the scissors and table protectant to create 2 beautiful homemade gifts. You also have to take into account the quality time you are spending with your crafting buddies, and the life skills they learn while they are doing it! We love Confetti Grace!
