Bless Box "Summer Breeze" June 2019 Review

Bless Box June info 1 Bless Box June info 2

The full magazine that used to come with this box is now 100% online, but we did receive an info sheet detailing the products included.

Bless Box June evio

Evio Beauty Rejuvenating Face Mask, 1.4 fl oz — Full Size! Retail Value $16.67

Cannabis in skincare is one of the hot trends right now, and I am all aboard the trend train- I have definitely noticed an improvement in redness, sensitivity, and irritation when using hemp or cannabis skincare products. This mask has hemp seed oil as the third ingredient, and as a whole I found this mask to be hydrating and nourishing to my skin.

Bless Box June midflower

Midflower Biocellulose Peel Mask — Estimated Value $15 (Buy three for $45)

After hydrogels, biocellulose is my favorite sheet mask material- it usually fits my face like a glove while being slightly cooling. This mask was a treat, as it's packed with soothing rosewater that my skin drank up. While this was a fun mask, I would never pay full price for them- 3 masks for $45 is a bit insane.

Bless Box June luseta 1 Bless Box June luseta 2

Luseta Beauty Color Brightening Travel Set, 1.01 fl oz each — Retail Value $5

This is a purple shampoo and conditioner set that is free of sulfates, phosphates, and parabens. I don't color treat my hair (and this works best for those with blond or grey hair!), so I will be passing this along to my mom who has been dyeing her hair for as long as I have been alive.

Bless Box June appeal

Appeal Cosmetics Gel Eyeliner in Deep Taupe, 1.4 g — Full Size! Retail Value $21

If I am wearing eyeliner, it is usually a black liquid liner for a wing. However, I can appreciate the staying power of gel eyeliners like this one, and the shade deep taupe would work well to add definition to my lash line on days I am wearing light makeup or just don't want to mess with creating a wing.

Here it is swatched. It glided smoothly with no tugging.

Bless Box June la fresh

LA Fresh Makeup Remover Wipe - Listed Value $1 (Buy a pack of 200 for $29.99)

I have tried these before- they are kept in stock at one of my favorite spas. Unfortunately, these are a little too harsh for my sensitive skin- the last time I used one, my face felt like it was burning.

Bless Box June kiss 1 Bless Box June kiss 2

Kiss NY Pro Touch Setting Powder — Full Size! Retail Value $7.99

This isn't the best setting powder I have ever tried, but I still liked it. It left my face feeling soft with imperfections slightly blurred, and it worked well to set my concealer under my eyes, too.

Bless Box June vichy 1 Bless Box June vichy 2

Vichy Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer, 0.33 oz — Estimated Value $6.67 (Buy the 1 oz version for $19.99)

Vichy calls this a moisturizer, but the thin, watery consistency definitely leans more hydrating serum in my book. Luckily, it layers well, and it adds a solid boost of moisture thanks to the hyaluronic acid and Vichy mineral water.

Bless Box June yube 1 Bless Box June yube 2

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream, 1 oz - Retail Value $16

I have tried this before, and it is a solid balm that works well on lips, cuticles, or anywhere you have skin needing some extra TLC. Some of the beneficial ingredients include glycerin, camphor, vitamins E and B, and hyaluronic acid.

We also received a mini version, perfect for on the go.

Bless Box June body butter 1 Bless Box June body butter 2

Love Beauty & Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose Delicious Glow Body Butter, 9.17 oz – Retail Value $11.99

This was the first of the "mystery summer duo" that I received, and I also received this in the December 2018 Bless Box. I have always felt that these "mystery bonus items" are just a way for the Bless Box to clear out old inventory, and that was cemented with this body butter- when I opened it, it clearly looked old and not something I was wanting to put on my skin. We reached out to customer service, and their solution was to send an entire replacement June box, rather than just a replacement body butter. I think the resolution is satisfactory, but I wish this box would stop sending repeat items. That being said, I enjoy the light rose scent, and it absorbed quickly into my skin.

Bless Box June perfectil 1 Bless Box June perfectil 2

Vitabiotics Perfectil Hair, Skin, & Nails Vitamins – Retail Value $17.99

This was the second item in the mystery duo, and I first received it in the November 2018 Bless Box. Supplements like these are usually pretty pricey, so I am happy when subscription boxes include a full month’s supply to try these before you purchase them. Rather than just being straight biotin this has a whole host of micronutrients designed to support, well, your hair, skin, and nails.

The Verdict: I am not going to lie- this box was overshadowed by how irritated I was to receive a very old body butter. When I set my frustrations aside on how Bless Box chooses to frequently include (what I presume to think is) old stock, I do think this was a decent box. I really enjoyed both the wash-off mask and the sheet mask, and I am happy to have more Yu-Be cream because it is so versatile. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $111.25.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but subscribe by the 17th to receive that month's box. From Bless Box:

Bless Box ships once per month, usually between the 19th and 22nd. If you subscribed on or before the 17th, you will receive a box that month. If you subscribed after the 17th, your first box will ship the following month unless otherwise stated.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I wish it was more of a lifestyle box then just a beauty box because there are sooooo many of them. I also feel this box gets most stuff free for the brand to be in box. More items that are not beauty and maybe a theme and to stick around that theme they would get more subscribers. This isn’t a cheap box either.

I don’t know much about Bless Box, but I don’t have a super high opinion of them. That being said, I actually think this looks like a great box, and I would have been tempted to purchase one if it weren’t sold out. Oh, well, I’ll check the swap site.

That Appeal eyeliner has been in at least 3 subs in the last couple months.

Some of the items in this box are very familiar as they have been in Birchbox.
