  1. In brief, they’re doing away with the actual tote that you would get each month. They are restricting the program so you still pick two items but your “surprise” items come from the inventory that you see. So basically they will be items that you could have choosen-but didn’t and you can let your stylist know which particular items you want. They say that they are going to offer more item choices per month than they do currently. Was curious to know how others felt about the changes.

    • You explained that perfectly! That was the email I received. Considering the “surprise” gifts I have received in the past I think this plan would be better for me. And those “totes” I always donate to a thrift store.

  2. X-Small through Large. Guess my Extra Large bum saved some money.

    • It is now X-small to Medium available.

    • Golden Tote has never offered plus sizes.

      • I guess I never considered an XL to be a plus size. But thanks?

        • Dawn’s I don’t either but in the past Golden Tote has referred to requests for Xl by saying they might carry plus size in the future so Golden Tote does.

        • Dawn S I don’t consider xl plus size either but in the past when people have asked about Xl sizes Golden Tote has responded by saying they might carry plus sizes eventually so they do.

      • Sorry but an XL isnt a plus size. Just fyi

        • It is now in a few stores that I shop😩.

        • Oh ffs I was just quoting Golden Tote. Stop getting so bent out of shape. Depending on the retailer Xl can be plus size or not. It’s a letter on a tag. Who even cares.

          • Trust me…if you’ve ever struggled with your weight, you care. Plus size is Lane Bryant and very few other options except a few limited and often unattractive brands/lines in department stores. “Regular” sizes, including “XL” (which is usually Women’s 12-14 or Juniors 11-13. Although there are a few stores that have moved from calling a 14-16W a 1X to XL, which just adds to the confusion) are the goal when you’re working off the extra pounds. A big perk of losing weight is the ability to shop in “regular” stores. So to accomplish it and still be considered “Plus Size”, i.e. fat, overweight, obese, etc. and still have significantly fewer shopping options, it is a pretty big deal. Don’t get me wrong, it absolutely shouldn’t be. But try telling that to the vast majority of society including retailers. Not saying anyone is being offensive intentionally, just trying to spread some understanding.

    • I’m in the same position. I’ve eyes this sub for years. I used to be a genuine plus size (18-20) but have been an XL for a while now. All “plus” sizes are too big. I wear a 12 in bottoms so L is usually fine but a 14 in tops (38DD unfortunately) which nearly always requires XL (except with some Target brands that run majorly large) so I still can’t try this sub. I’m surprised they remain so opposed to more inclusive sizing. The last I read the average size of the American woman was 16-18 up from 14-16 previously.

      • *eyed

      • Golden Tote’s sizing is more in line with junior sizing so I imagine there’s alot of women who can’t wear their clothes. They are really shutting out a huge potential customer base by being so rigid with their sizes.

        • Wow that’s kind of surprising considering a lot of their items definitely don’t look like they’d appeal to teens and twenty-somethings.
And if their sizes run small like most junior sizes then like you said, they are definitely missing out on a huge chunk of the market. I can sometimes wear a 10 in women’s sizes but a 13 in juniors is often a tight squeeze so they’re certainly catering almost entirely to very slim and/or short women or girls.

  3. Kind of surprised there’s been no update on the gigantic Golden Tote re-structure…aka the reason for the mystery tote

    • I sent msa an email about it but they haven’t posted anything

      • So what is the deal? You two are alluding but no info 🙂 I googled it but nothing came up about a restructure.

    • I was surprised that this website hasn’t updated to reflect this either but maybe they figured those who buy these totes already know and for everyone else they don’t need to know. Just a guess.

    • Spill the beans!
