The extra items have not sold out yet. That tells me 2 things. Either people have not made their selections because it’s not the weekend yet. Or most people decided not to renew their seasonal subscription or make an extra selection. They don’t have any well known brands for the first three customization. Maybe if TriStiQue or Wander Beauty was in the first 3 customization, they would have sold more?

Last night I got an email from Fabfitfun telling me that my summer box would ship out by August 6. If I didn’t want to wait I could call S and cancel! If it wasn’t for a few items I really love, I would’ve. I checked FedEx and it’s pending.
Their full moon boo boo email floored me! What if the boxes shipped?! Products never should be out before proper checking and thoroughly investigating them. I had read bad reviews on the teeth whitening kit. 😕😣
Choices weren’t very good this time around!! I have short hair. Don’t need straightening. Enough scarves! Disabled, enough said there! ETC choice do I have?? Mystery!!
I don’t even want to move on…. SMH 😩

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

That email isn’t for the Summer box..It’s for summer edit sale items (those ship separately)…I also got that email along with probably thousands of others. I am beyond mad. I received a shipping notification finally..well I open it and only 1 out of my 11 items has shipped!! It’s a teeny tiny bottle of spray in a big huge box. No word on the rest of my order 🙁

I just received my Summer box…anyone else get a hair dryer with a plug not for the US?

Reply ButtonReply

Angela Brewer

the whitener was the only thing i was holding out for. Im a FFF newbie. Ok w/my Summer box but not Fall. Cancelled.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

I am brand new member and so far I am VERY underwhelmed. I ordered the summer box because the products offered were, well, summery!!! It seemed to be an amazing value for the price and allowed me to try some very unique and pricier products and step out of my ‘walmart’ box. I signed up well over 6 weeks ago and STILL haven’t recieved my summer box. Strike 1.

Now onto the ‘fall’ box… Why are there no fall inspired products??? Like a cozy new mug for falling temperatures? a scarf I can’t get in literally 3 million other places. Where are the ‘name brands’?(other than a Kate Spade lunch box…) Where are the luxury products that I’m dying to try becasue I’ve heard of them? Why do all the other choice products look like sample sizes and not full size products? Strike 2.
I hope this is the only flop and FFF will take all the disappointment I’m reading about and fix it for winter.

My dream subscription box would be one that strives to offer those elusive items. How many women do we know that are still looking for the perfect concealer, or the perfect eye cream? You can easily have too many eyeshadow palettes, and lip glosses, but what about a shot at really good necessity items that we all need?

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Have you checked out the Sunday Riley box? May be worth a look!

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Seconded! That was my initial hope for [various makeup subscriptions] – that they would help me find my dream formulas etc. And to some extent, they did, but once I found my dream black eyeliner, well…haha.

I’m a seasonal subscriber …but for the first time since I’ve subscribed (2 years now) I cancelled just like everyone else..this is so disappointing and nothing like the FFF I remember. ….maybe I’ll subscribe for Winter, but nothing is worth my $50…I searched thru the add-ons to see if I would want anything and didn’t see anything..actually a lot of stuff seemed more expensive than usual, i got turned off by the Add ons when I purchased some stuff and got an email a few days later saying a few products I purchased were actually NOT in stock after the order was already placed…anddddd I just got my summer edit order today, no shipping email, nothing….I checked with CS the other day and they were like “oh here’s your tracking it’s already in transit” and I said well it’d would be nice if I received an email and that this isn’t the first time this happened…he ignored my concern ….so we’ll see if Winter will be worth me subscribing again

Christina

Booo. I am so disappointed about the removal of the tooth whitening. I was most looking forward to that.

I decided to cancel as well. My annual was up and I just couldn’t justify it. This used to be one of my favorites subs but I looked a the reviews for the year and realized it just wasnt worth it anymore. I cancelled online though and didnt have to speak with anyone.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

I just skipped. Nothing in this box is for me. I’d rather have that money for add-ons. Although, I’ve had trouble getting those to show up in the past. 😝. It’s so sad, fall fff used to be my favorite box. There is nothing fall about this box. I’m so saddened to see them going downhill. 😢

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

I got my $179.99 back for my annual subscription!!

Wanted to post this for all who might wonder ” Do they REALLY give back the money?”

Yes, they have to if YOU Cancel your subscription first. Don’t leave it ” up to them”.

Cancel first, then ask for a refund over the phone. The phone people know more than the live internet chat people do.
Call FFF CS at 855 313 6267 4AM to MN Pacific time. They KNOW they cannot keep your money, but they will try to use stalling tactics. Just ignore them; it’s not like they are going to order a showroom new red Ferrari up for you to stay. That’s what it would take for me to ever do business with them again LOL.

So I have a question to those who are yearly and skipped the fall box through the chat. I had Ren who must of been super busy but anyway instead of being able to skip and get a box added to account (I signed up for the year in Spring so Winter would of been my last box byt with the skip I would of had to renew in Summer) or that’s what I expected but instead I have 45 dollars added to account to buy add ons and so on. I didn’t read that happening to others or is that what is happening to everyone or just some? Just wanted to know if that was the case?

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Everyone got $45 in credit towards add-ons. I’ll probably use half on this sale and then save the rest for the next edit sale

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Fall was supposed to be my last box and my account says “will not renew.” I wonder how my $47 credit will work. Anyone know? Not buying anything for add-ons this time…

Tiffany

Oh happy day! My annual subscription doesn’t renew for a couple of weeks.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me out. I’m still waiting on my summer edit sale items, and I noticed I was charged $69 for the pimples beware bundle. That seems excessive and more than I would pay. Does anyone know how much that bundle cost? I’ve disputed it with cs, but I can’t remember what the price was. Thanks so much for the help.

Reply ButtonReply

Vera

The pimples beware bundle was $69.

Laura

Thanks so much. My order finally arrived and it’s not included! Ugh. I may be done with this. I checked my billing on their website and I was billed for it. Thanks for your help.

Tara

This is the first FFF box where I haven’t been really happy with at least half the box. Usually even if there are a few items I plan to swap, the other half makes it well worth the cost of the box– FFF is a favorite subscription, and I have NEVER had the CS experiences some talk about. I had some incorrect items sent once, and they quickly replaced them and let me keep what was already sent.

That said– I skipped this box for the first time ever. I didn’t even know that was an option until I read this. The scarf looks cute, and the straightener is a great item choice, but I already have a perfectly good CHI. Other than that, I just wasn’t crazy about anything, and I couldn’t see getting a box for just a scarf (that I have plenty of anyway). It would mostly be adding to my overflowing toiletry stash (and I was just “meh” about the toiletry items anyway), and hopefully I can swap for the scarf.

If you skip, they put a $47 credit on your account, and I confirmed that it will automatically use that on my account renewal in the summer when it comes (unless I use it on add-ons before then, but I don’t usually do much of that). Anyway, great CS experience with the chat, and it went well. Hoping for a better box (though I’m sure this box is perfect for many) next quarter!

Most people look to fff as a box of new innovative products to look forward to trying etc. yes this all looks like tj Maxx and Marshall’s which is very disappointing! ESP with the teeth whitening thingy gone it would be nice if they got a different replacement choice somehow as I’m sure they could ?? Nothing in box screams fall except scarf but that is way overdone ! I’m beyond disappointed in my summer $30 mystery pack that just arrived omg it is awful! I got one bag of Tease Yerba mate , 3 pairs of the same Richer poorer striped socks, and an expired (well almost) 7/19 box of grace and Stella eye masks! Very sad and disappointed! Last mystery I was very happy so I can’t complain but fff don’t send me a box of expired masks!!!! I’m going to complain to them even thou I’m sure it won’t do no good ! My last mystery pack I got a Sunnylife roundy towel that is such high quality and I was impressed and kopari coconut oil cleanser and some luggage tags. I’m glad I go seasonal with their sub esp since I’m a newer subscriber but I feel bad for all the people who are annual subscribers. They are losing so many people it’s just really sad : (

I am an annual subscriber and I have been very disappointed with my last few boxes and honestly there is nothing that even excites me about this box – can I skip this box and if so how do I go about it?

Reply ButtonReply

Shell

I agree , there is not much to rave about in the last few I have gotten. I think inwant to skip this box. Plus why did they take out the teeth whitening kit. I dont know, they just aren’t filled with things they used to send.

Reply ButtonReply

RAR

No, they won’t let you skip. You have to cancel and then resubscribe next season – via an editor’s box first. I just check the boards to see if it’s worth it. It’s just not so far. All this stuff can be found at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Reply ButtonReply

Cissy

I just skipped the Fall box. Some people have a “skip a box” option under their Subscription & Orders tab, but I didn’t so had to go through customer service chat. I have been an annual subscriber for over a year, so I was eligible to skip a box, and was not able to get an answer on why the option to skip wasn’t on my account page.

I was told I could not skip the Fall box and still shop Fall add-ons, but this is NOT CORRECT. If you want to skip and still shop add-ons, and are told you cannot, refer the customer services rep to the “skip my box” FAQ. And don’t let them get back to you through email on it- make them resolve on the chat. It will save you a headache, trust me.

Reply ButtonReply

Maria

I think you can skip one box per year if I remember correctly. I skipped the Spring box when I had the annual. I think you can do it yourself by logging into your account. There may even be a way to check your eligibility to skip on there. I know it was there in the Spring. But it’s probably just easier to log in and start a chat with them and send your request to the rep. They can do everything on their end in just a few minutes usually.
My annual ended and I didn’t renew. Then I resubscribed this summer mostly for the Add-ons but didn’t get the annual this time. Thank goodness I was able to see almost all the spoilers on MSA before my next billing date. I’’ve only missed one or two boxes in several years and I think this one is the worst I’ve ever seen. Usually I get at least 2 or 3 items that cover the cost of the box so I can justify buying it in order to be eligible for the Add-on and Edit sales. But I didn’t like any of the choices this time so I had to cancel. I don’t blame FFF entirely because I’m sure part of my disinterest comes from getting so many various sub boxes over the years. I’m much pickier and more difficult to please. I feel like they’re just desperate to come up with new items after doing this for so many years. I’ll miss the add-ons terribly but I will just have to cope.
Good luck with your box skip! I really think they’ll let you.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathleen

Thanks Ladies! Based on your posts I chatted with CS and skipped this box. There were some add-ons I wanted but I’d rather pass than be stuck with all these items I don’t want or need. If I hadn’t purchased a flat iron from add-ons a couple boxes ago I probably would have kept the box but o well. I agree that there seems to be no curation and too many cheap items made in China. I’m hoping they can make a come back since I used to really enjoy this box.

Mellissa

I canceled after 5+ years with FFF. I have. 3 accounts and canceled them all. So by the winter, no more boxes for me.

I still feel the value is still there. Each item comes down to about $5. $5 items shipped to me? Seems great. But I don’t really need most of this stuff.

I’ll use the Kate Spade lunch tote to organize something but if I’m truthful with myself, I don’t need it. I don’t need so much skincare. I don’t need a thin yoga mat.

And if I did need something, I am at the point in my life where I’d research and choose the best product at my price point. I wouldn’t want a company choosing the item for me. I wouldn’t want a polyester scarf that is going to fray within months. I’d go to Ebay and pick a gorgeous pale aqua second hand cotton or linen scarf. Would I pay more than $5? Yes. But I would appreciate it more and hopefully it would last me longer and serve be better than a random item.

You’ve been okay to me FFF but I’m out.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

OMG, you are SO like me. I am SOOOOOO angry. I was going to cancel, however they had the teeth whitening thing and that’s my cup of tea…..not a yoga mat which I have, a lunchbox, which I have, etc etc etc. I just go on and they are now not offering the teeth whitening thing. There is nothing I need or want-a cheeseplate? I can buy that for next to nothing. And YESSSSSSSS, I so agree-their clothes, scarfs, kimonos etc-polyester. I went right on EBay for my ski trip and all I ordered for about $5 each were FANTASTIC! I am done.

Reply ButtonReply

Jeniferlyn

So many years-skipped a great deal on a teeth whitening kit for the fff one-THEN they pulled it—then I found the Snow White one in the edit sale for $50 less somewhere else!!
I’m tired of no real deals for loyalty and of the quality going down.
Only sticking to this one due to needing a new flat iron-and the Spongelles/Coola Sunscreen.
FFF has turned into MMO.
MEH MEH OK.
Keeping until Winter Spoilers. If I’m not Thrilled about Anything again I’m gone. (Not that they care-but yes-the Quality is not fun. It’s Target on Sale)

Miranda

I can’t skip bc I’m still in my first year, there’s nothing I’m really interested in and I keep getting told that my edit sale items are being processed. I can’t find anywhere to view all the items I ordered in the edit sale. I was super excited when I originally subscribed but now I am slowly losing interest. Disappointed:(

Reply ButtonReply

WendyJ

Miranda, to see the items you ordered in the edit sale, go to ‘My Account’, then select ‘My Subscriptions & Orders’, at the bottom of that page you’ll see a link that says ‘My Billing History’, click that and then on the following My Orders page find your edit sale invoice and select ‘View Invoice’. It will show you a detailed invoice of your order, including the items.

Fyi… If you’re using a cell phone to view this, once you select ‘My Billing History’, the Order History page shows up better if you turn your phone sideways to landscape mode.

They should consider spending less money and time on these celeb/influencer endorsements and more time on serving their actual paying customers.

Reply ButtonReply

Alexis

This! I also can’t help but wonder if the development of their ‘in house’ brands haven’t played a part in some of the issues as well. Chic & Tonic, ISH, Summer & Rose and XO, Sienna have added new products on a consistent basis, but they are pretty high RV considering… Just my two cents.

Reply ButtonReply

Tjhanna

Yes!!! This whole ridiculous ‘find any endorser and pay them’ thing is ridiculous. As a long term solid costumer, I feel nothing but cheated when some D list celeb raves about a box they don’t sub to and are getting paid. From a PR practitioner standpoint, it’s poor advertisement and ignoring stakeholders. If they put more of that money into the box and add ons, maybe they’d keep the customer base they had.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Sara

I’ve been a longtime (inaugural box) subscriber and it does make me feel sad to see them on the downward slide. Their apex was a year or two ago, but I believe they grew too fast and tried to do too much. Clothing box, their own line of cheap housewares and accessories, so many edit sales, etc. I’ve never had any issues with shipping, other than waiting weeks after I’ve been charged. I didn’t buy anything at the last edit sale, and this will be my second box with no add-ons (discounts aren’t that great anymore, quality is meh, and brand offerings are a bit stale). I also detest how they use really tacky reality show D listers to promote their brand. I’m looking forward to the lunch box and Aromatherapy Associates roller ball, but that’s it.

Reply ButtonReply

Choosy

I’m quite surprised with all the unsatisfied FFF customers. I’m a bit new (1box in) so I’m feeling like I must be missing something! FFF usually has about 9 to10 products in the box correct? And they’ve only shown us half of what we could be getting correct? (IDK) And if that’s the case wouldn’t that be considered “jumping the gun” on deciding if you like the box or not? I mean what if those other items we haven’t been privy to yet is awesome? Or are we only getting 5 items this month and I’m unaware or I missed the other 4/5 items in the spoilers? I’m quite bewildered with the animosity from half a box. Can someone help me to understand where so many are coming from? (Seriously not being sarcastic) Or is everyone so spoiled to death by FFF that nothing is good enough now? Otherwise, please let me know what I missed!!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

It just so happens that, this time, we do know all the items in the box. I don’t think this has ever happened before, but here’s the link which is also from this website: https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2019/07/fabfitfun-fall-2019-box-spoilers-selection-time.html

There are a few of us who were so excited for the teeth whitening system that once that was taken away, we looked at the rest of the box and said it isn’t worth the $50 to us anymore. Value is relative. I go by whether or not I actually want the item, not by the retail value. A $100 item is worth $0 to me if I simply don’t want it and/or won’t use it.

I think this was just the perfect storm this time. The leaked info about the contents of the box. Them losing out on the teeth whitening system (for whatever reason). And some customers have had issues with not getting items on time. I am lucky that it never happened to me. In the spring box, they did leave off 2 items I added for customization for $10 each, but they straightened it out fairly quickly.

I am hoping this will make them work harder to put out an awesome winter box. They will now have something to prove and customers to win back. I do think they had gotten a little complacent. I don’t want to see them fail, but they need to step up their game a lot. Fall is my favorite season of the year and their fall boxes are usually the ones I like most. So now, it will be a whole year before they have the opportunity to give me the box that I really look forward to from them. Spring and summer typically don’t interest me, but ironically, I got both of those this time.

Given their growing pains, loss of focus, or whatever is going on, I am glad I am not an annual subscriber. I feel for those who are and I would heavily recommend against it for the foreseeable future.

(Oh, and just as a general rule, the items in the first customization are usually the best because they use them to lure in new customers. So if people are disappointed with them, or one item is taken away, it does make some sense for people to cancel.)

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

There are only 8 in this box and the other spoilers are already floating around on the internet. I think a lot of the dissatisfaction comes from the fact that almost all of the items are beauty items with just a few lifestyle items, the fact that it really doesn’t feel like a curated fall box, and just the customer service/shipping issues in general. But if you like it then that’s awesome!

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Seconding this! FFF went from a varied, curated box with one “hero item” to a series of choices between unrelated items, most of them beauty products. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the variety, and I love me some beauty stuff! But it just doesn’t make sense to choose between a yoga mat and a hair straightener, or a high-end skincare product and a $20 speaker. As much as the hero items could be hit or miss, as much as part of me wondered if I was just going to end up with six hundred scarves…I miss feeling like my horizons were being expanded (by products that I wouldn’t otherwise buy, like unique workout equipment), my money was being saved (with the inclusion of hero items), and I was getting myself a seasonal treat each month (since each month was curated and felt cohesive).

As they say, I’m not mad about it, just…disappointed…

Tomorrow

It looks like there are 8 items in this box. Usually 9 at the most, just fyi.

IF ANYBODY IS WONDERING:
I had an annual sub, I still had two boxes remaining. I just got on the FFF chat, and asked them to cancel my sub, and refund me for the remaining boxes. Originally he told me no, and then I told him he couldn’t do that, and I would file a complaint with the BBB. He then tried to bribe me to stay by offering me a tote. I said no, he calculated my refund as a “one time courtesy”. Word to the wise, avoid an annual sub, and just get the boxes that appeal to you. A year is a long time to commit to garbage products and terrible customer service.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

This was the one thing that o really wanted, with that said, I think this sucks more than it would normally because last quarter they had some pretty bad mess-ups, with add ons, and the sponsored item, and when all that went down (if you were around for it) and offering NOTHING to make up for their mistakes, nothing.. and this time around they promised everything would be solid, only to have an item, that A LOT OF PEOPLE were looking forward to, pulled, and offering NOTHING in return, again. I hardly got an email letting me know, and that was HOURS after I saw in on MSA first. I get it, a couple hundred, maybe couple thousand people unsubscribing probably isn’t a big deal to them, but they should still try to take some responsibility for the issues that they’ve had in an attempt to keep more people from unsubscribing, or keeping current subscribers from leaving. I’m on the fence, my annual sub renews on the spring, and right now, 100% I WILL NOT be renewing my subscription. They need to do better, they’re subscribers need better from them.

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I predict that those who chose the yoga mat are in for a bad surprise. That thing is no good.

No treads, too thin, and an accident waiting to happen. Do not get sweaty because without proper footwear you will fall.

I do not trust quality on anything they have. Plastic, acrylic and items they arbitrarily pull from people’s add on cart and now this tooth whitening fiasco. That thing is a gimmick.

Anyone remember Little Black Bag? It went bankrupt. I am waiting for the same for FFF. They are not focused on a goal. Boxes, add ons, edits, FFF tv, the forum from hell and now a styling service & expansion to the UK when they can’t take care of the USA and Canada????

They can sure dole them out at You Tube and D list celebrities while I wait and wait for a box to ship!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I vividly remember Little Black Bag. I LOVED it. Much more than any other sub. It was so fun to chat and trade online. I wish someone would start it up again. But yes, the owner couldn’t manage things properly. I even talked to him on the phone a few times. He was a slimy jerk who just didn’t care. He wanted to grab the money and run. I don’t think FFF is as bad as LBB was. I think with FFF it is more growing pains and loss of focus, but I could be wrong.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Oh, yes, LBB. The owner was a ladies’ man and could schmooze his customers like nobody’s business. He’d send me photos of where he was in LA. I’d tell him how great he was and I’d end up with high end leather bags because I had little cozy phone chats with him late at night and he’d upgrade my orders. LOL, good memories.

FFF might as well be owned by him, LOL. Same careless attitude, same absolutely ” unaware” CS people.

Oh, and he married a woman with interest in the same sort of women’s e- commerce business after he sold or bankrupted Little Black Bag… He used to phone me from his mobile late at night, in his cups, telling me all about the party he’d just been to.
I am not sure they’re still married, LOLOL.
