Collections by Joya July 2019 Review
Collections by Joya includes a card in each month’s box featuring a model style with several items from their collection. This image was familiar to me because I actually received one of them in the mail last week! It was kind of fun to see it again here and feel like an insider. The beret is so cute!
On the back is an advertisement for an upcoming gift show appearance in Atlanta.
The canvas pouch is back this month! Here’s what was inside…
I was excited to see some coordinating pieces in this month’s pouch, and pleasantly surprised that they are all new items that I’ve never seen before.
Bloom Drop Earrings — Retail Value $48.95
These drop earrings are simple but with a cool texture that adds interest. I would say they’re about as versatile as they come! I like this design—usually I wear those little clear rubbery backs on my dangly earrings so they don’t slip out, but this long back prevents the need.
I think this pair is just so pretty.
Bloom Pendant Necklace — Retail Value $69.95
The coordinating necklace is equally as versatile, though I was surprised to find that it doesn’t have an adjustable chain. On one hand it’s nice to have that clean clasped look without extra chain hanging down the back of your neck; on the other, if it falls on a funny place within your neckline, you’re a bit limited.
Luckily, the length worked out perfectly for the top I was already wearing. I don’t often wear matching jewelry at the same time because I tend to like a more mix-and-matched aesthetic, but this set might be changing my mind! The only matching sets I own are from Joya, and most of them are serendipitous sets that were collected over several months. So it’s sort of a new concept to me, as strange as that sounds.
Labradorite Beaded Necklace/Bracelet — Estimated Value $78.95
I think the labradorite works really well on this piece. It’s neutral but with a tasteful iridescent glint. I couldn’t find it on the site, so I’m not sure if it’s meant to be a wrap bracelet or a choker, but it’s nice as either.
Which would way would you wear it more often? I think the answer is as a bracelet for me.
And, finally, the classic Joya gift box and ribbon, to be used for any pieces you’d like to share these gorgeous items with someone else.
Verdict: It’s so fun to see some brand new pieces from Joya this month! The matching set of gold pendant accessories is a nice treat, and the labradorite beaded piece is a great one to accent a range of outfits and other jewelry.
This box costs $49.95, including free shipping. The earrings, necklace, and beaded bracelet/choker add up to an estimated $197.85, which was calculated using retail values for the earrings and pendant necklace, and an estimated value for the beaded piece. Like last month, this on the high end of normal for the Joya subscription box. It’s an amazing deal!
