  1. The Sunday Riley serum gave me an allergic reaction of some sort…I used it twice several months ago and dealt with bumps all over my face- but didn’t know this serum was the culprit until this past week when I tried it again!

Anyone else have this issue? Wondering if it was a bad batch or truly an allergy!

  2. If the anniversary box is supposed to be their worst box ever, they succeeded. Tiny tubes were empty. Cleanser was damaged. This used to be a really great sub, not anymore.

    • I totally agree

  3. Yeah beautyfix used to be so great with some full size items : I cancelled awhile ago when products got smaller and smaller ! I hope they go back to the great box they once were ;/

  4. This was the worst box ever. I am angry. Every item was tiny. Nothing was full-sized. The cleanser bottle looked like it was in a motorcycle accident w/severe road rash. I did not receive the lip product or the exfoliant. The only item I was excited about was the Sunday Reilly serum, but alas, the bottle was empty. This was the last straw, I quit.

  5. I got the box and it’s not worth it. SkinMedica and Sunday Riley were empty tubes. No full size samples. This box was supposed to be their 20th anniversary. It was disappointing.

    • Oh, my! THIS was their anniversary box?? Dermstore advertises it as “the best box EVER.” No, Beauty Fix. I’ve subscribed four years or a little more and this is the absolute WORST box I’ve EVER gotten. And you’re right, the Sunday Riley and SkinMedica are almost empty!! Please return to your glory days, Beauty Fix. I am cutting all my boxes except Ipsy Plus, Allure and Beauty Fix but I may have to cut them too if this is what the box will look like going forth. I have dropped Sephora Play, Macy’s and a few others. Jury is still out on Boxycharm & BoxyLuxe but it’s not looking good for them.

      • Usually I love BeautyFix and I am occasionally downright thrilled to receive the products and try them out but all the products were so small – some were downright tiny – I don’t know that I’ll be able to make a decision on the products. I also want to know what they were thinking. If you hype a box and it’s your birthday celebration box… it should be fantastic at the least and this isn’t even good with all of what should be free samples. I see no value. One more month like this and BeautyFix is gone.

    • All 3 of my SR, skinmedica and skinceuticals were empty so half the box was worthless. This is the worst box I have ever gotten, they are all unusable, there isn’t even enough product for one use! I sent them a complaint on their website and I suggest all of you do the same. This isn’t right, they are sending us nothing and basically calling it a value. Whomever is reviewing this box needs to value the product on the actual amount of product not the size listed on the package because there is NO product in any of these tubes.

  6. Beautyfix seems to go up and have a really great amazing box, and then slide way down and have really disappointing boxes.
Their june box was off the charts good, full size Colorscience sunscreen, though it was sad they did not cater to POC and only had the two lightest shades, plus june box had like 3 full size items
I honestly feel instead of having a box like this august one with 8 tiny samples and one full size, they could offer us like 5 good products in decent sizes and everyone would be happy.
In regards to repeat items, some are ok, like sunscreen, or a great serum.
For me I feel its even worse as the skinceuticals product they are including I can walk into the skin clinic and get up to 2 of each product in those sizes FREE.
They should at the very least, include travel sizes that people cant just get free in stores.
To add insult to injury, their website is saying “It’s our anniversary & we’re celebrating with a bestseller-packed BeautyFix! Order now”
So I keep clicking on the banner and it takes me to a page with a PTR cucumber gel mask in a 14ml size, so I go to their facebook page to find this (what I thought would be) amazing limited edition anniversary box of sorts, only to find out that it’s just the August 2019 box.
That said, I like that I can go on the site and buy extras of the older boxes that I did enjoy, so at least I’ll still ne getting a beautyfix this month, just not the august one.

  7. It looks worse in person ugh. Just opened my box and was like ‘uh, where’s the rest? Like is this seriously it?!’ I’m usually pretty easy but this is just bad.

    • Yes!!! That was my exact reaction!!! They were all tiny samples that are usually free or included in a GWP. What were thinking????

      • * What were THEY thinking? (correcting my post)

  8. WOW, the samples are so small. Most of them that is for $25. IDK if its worth bothering or not anymore. My review will be BAD based on sizes for sure!!

  9. Went to check out beautyfix on their site and the only option available is to purchase past boxes. No way to sign up for this month. Maybe they are doing some site maintenance, idk. Hopefully, they aren’t getting rid of the monthly sub.

    • If you haven’t done so yet, you might want to check back. I just checked, and the option to sub is back up. 🙂

  10. Ugh don’t need it but kinda want it. Been wanting to try that Eminence scrub for years. So, do I just buy one or buy this box? Lol

    • It’s so small don’t even bother. This month is horrible.

      • Agree….dont bother! I rarely am disappointed in beauty fix…..but this time I am. A handful of tiny samples. What happened to the good stuff??? Ridiculous!! I have always counted on beauty fix to come through for me!! UGH

  11. There stuff has gotten so small and tiny :/ I’m glad I cancelled awhile ago … I remember when I first joined they had decent size stuff plus some regular sized items I miss the old BF , not worth it to me anymore

    • I know, right?! It used to be so wonderful. They would always include a tool, like a dermaneedle or a high-end brush, plush one full-sized sunscreen or something of a known name brand. Now, so many tiny samples, like the $10 boxes. I cancelled and miss the original box so much. I’d pay more if they would bring back the one that had a beauty tool and a great assortment of products of decent sizes.

  12. Actually this is the best box they have had in months! I am Happy!

  13. I cancelled my subscription. not enticing enough for me

  14. Way to many samples and repeats ! Already have given half these items out previously. I cancelled last month and definitely wont renew this month either. They need to get back to what they were doing full sized newer items

    • 👍 agreed

    • Ditto

  15. My first thought was to skip August due to all of these small samples but it is good products but then again… Their really to small to test to even see if they start to work… Ugh decisions decisions!!! lol

  16. August is a nope for me! I can’t with all the sample sizes. It seems like they are alternating “good” months-(full size items) with sample months. I’ll be curious to see if September is awesome like June & April.

  17. I saw this spoiler and ran to cancel my sub for the month. I really liked the last 2 months, but this one is a dud for me.

  18. I love PCA Skin products, that lip plumper is full size, and is something I haven’t tried. Other than the Oribe that I will gift I will use the rest myself. It isn’t their most exciting month, but I’m still in!

  19. I must be the only one that doesn’t mind repeats! In fact brands like these I’m happy to have repeats 😍

  20. Yup. Skipping this month. I coveted this box for months when I would see spoilers and there would always be one or two full size items that were awesome looking. I finally ended up subscribing, but that was around the time that they started doing the smaller sample sizes. Sigh.

  21. At first I was disappointed with this box. I almost have to force myself to use tiny samples like these, but I researched the box and crunched the numbers. All of the items are rated really well. The lip plumper is actually full size, and it retails for $45. Values for some of the the items included are: Skinceuticals $20, Epionce $26, Sunday Riley $14. Yes, the samples are small, and there are some repeats, but the repeats I have tried are pretty great.

    • Sharon, that’s really helpful. I may have to rethink this one. I appreciate you sharing your research.

      • No problem! Like I said, I considered passing on this one too, but I am interested to see if the lip product fills lines like some reviews report. I am also a huge fan of SkinCeuticals, so I will be delighted to try the Resveratrol.

  22. So glad I already unsubbed a couple of days ago. So many repeats and tiny samples are in this box. Other than the New Beauty Test Tube, this is my most expensive box and it’s just not thrilling me as of late. I had two subs for it, one for me and one for my son’s girlfriend and I cancelled both.

  23. All it would take for me would be one full or decent sized hero product. Unfortunately the largest products in this mix are things I don’t want. Easy pass. Bummer because I really WANT to like this box.

  24. Been with Dermstore too long I guess, as I believe these are all repeats at some point?

  25. This is becoming like Birchbox. I hate watching it crash and burn. It used to be so awesome. Now they both are tiny samples, with big hopes and dreams that no one will notice the change.

    • This is what i was just thinking!! Since when (well its been a few months now) did Beautyfix not have a FULL size item. That was one of the best perks of this sub. The one or two FULL size items and then all the filler. There was even that one season when they sent the smaller PTR Irish Moor Mud and gave us $25 Dermstore credit/gift card to make up for it. I havent subbed her since last November and havent seen but maybe one box since i was sad to of missed. But not sad enough to buy lol.
Hopefully they will get it together as i loved this sub at one point!!

  26. Absolutely LOVE that the entire contents of the box was revealed this early. I cancelled this month (July). I was anxiously waiting for the reveal of next months box so I could get excited to resub. Unfortunately, this box isnt exciting for me. I look forward to next month.

  27. This box is not too exciting for me so guess I will skip. I would avoid that Dermalogica Special Cleansing gel though. I used it for years and it wrecked my skin. It got rid of breakouts but dried out my skin and I started getting a lot of discoloration (switched to a new cleansing routine and my skin looks great again after a year or so). FYI it has a very acidic PH & is also one of the few products they make that includes parabens.

  28. This box loooks intriguing and if I want saving for Barney’s and Detox Market GWP event, I would certainly get … some many choices … lol

  29. No thanks. Oribe again? Nope. And I’ve tried that eye cream and don’t like it

  30. I skipped July but June was awesome! I just checked the site and the PCA Lip product is full size (.24 oz) and $45. Even though the rest are sample sizes, there are some great brands and a few products I have never tried. I guess I’ll be re-subbing. 😀

  31. 🤦🏼‍♀️

  32. I’m pretty disappointed. When I first subscribed, this was my favorite box. It’s gone downhill.

  33. I know it’s probably a good value but boring. 🙁 That’s probably better for me anyway. I need more beauty products like, well, you know

  34. Wow. That’s a bunch of small samples. I mean, they are good samples, but so small…. I think I will save my money this month.

  35. Usually love Beautyfix, but don’t see anything I’m interested in for August.

  36. I did not get July..did nothing for me..but August looks good.guess I’ll rejoin.

  37. What a sad looking month! So many repeats and tiny sizes. I was going to resubscribe with the $5 off July deal but I think I’ll pass. This subscription seems to go up and down through the years. It gets really good for a while and then falters again. Hopefully they’ll be back on an upswing soon. Although my wallet would prefer it stays this way. 😄

  38. Beauty Fix is a box I decided I’ll be subbing to based on spoilers, and it looks like I’ll be re-subbing in August. I love the brands included in next month’s box, and I always get multiple uses out of samples like these, so I look forward to trying them. 🙂

    • Luna, I will never understand how you are able to use up all your samples on top of your full size products! 😄
I think you and I probably get close to the same number of beauty subs and one time boxes (and Sephora, Ulta, etc sales) and I am so overloaded! I’m terribly worried so much of it will expire before I can even open it. Especially now that I’m trying to buy more “clean” products with a shorter shelf life. How do you do manage to get through your stash? I could truly open a little pop up shop of my own with my current inventory.

      • Lol! I think we can go into business together as I could fill the stockroom of your pop up shop. 😉 😀
I don’t stress over trying to use up my products, so I get to them when I get to them. 🙂 I’ve been enjoying these beauty boxes (both subs & LE) and taking advantage of deals for a few years now, and I can count on one hand how many items I’ve had to declutter due to spoilage, so I’m not worried. 🙂 While I still like to have fun by indulging in these beauty bargains, I’ve definitely cooled it a lot compared to prior years. 🙂

      • I was really bad with makeup when I was younger. Especially anytime I could get a GWP gift. Then I had to tighten my finances and got it under control. Now I’m right back in the addiction but as I’ve mentioned before, I’m way more into skin care now. I spent a sad day this past Saturday turning 44 and finding a new somewhat deep wrinkle on the side of my chin. 😱. Left side from driving in the sun, as usual.

I’m trying not to feel bad about my stash though. Everyone spends money on something. I don’t go out (to drink/party or even eat very often), I rarely buy clothes or jewelry and I don’t have kids so I’m not taking resources away from anyone. Besides, there are much worse addictions out there!

I’m glad you’re on here so often since I can’t contact you directly. You’re so much more informed than I am. I’m hoping you can help me with some other spoilers. I’m subscribed to the Clean Beauty Art of Organics box and due to be charged 8/1. I haven’t seen any spoilers on here and nothing comes up when I do a search. I was just going to cancel but I saw that there’s currently a waitlist for August. I fear I may regret it if I spend $84 since you have to get two months at a time, and they’ll send out hair or body products I don’t want. I’m usually okay with most facial skincare but again, I have so much already so I’d love to know if I should stick around for August or save some money. Or rather make up some of what all I spent at the Boxy Pop Up and FFF Edit sales. 😄. I checked their site and did a search but I don’t like using Instagram or Facebook so you’re my only other hope for the August spoilers. If you don’t know I think I will likely just cancel for now.

      • Even though I’m sure a lot of people would think the amount of beauty products I own is ludicrous, I’m okay with that and I’ll never make any apologies for it because it’s what I want and is my chosen indulgence on what I want to spend my hard earned money on right now. 🙂 I’m sure this phase will pass like other phases I’ve gone through, but right now I’m enjoying the ride. 🙂 I know when the day comes that beauty products or these boxes start to stress me out or bring anything into my life other than happiness, then I know it’s time to call it quits. 🙂

Sorry, but I haven’t seen any spoilers yet for The Clean Beauty Box. 🙁 However, that’s funny that you ask about The Clean Beauty Box because I actually just cancelled my subscription today! I even got an “Are you sure?” type of email back stating how they’re now doing a waitlist and that I’ll lose my guaranteed spot on getting August’s box. I congratulated them on being so popular that they now have to establish a waitlist, but that I’m fine with being put on one when I’m ready to re-subscribe. While I’m not cancelling all of my subs, I am cancelling a good chunk of them, and I’ll just be playing the re-subbing-based-on-spoilers game for those that I cancelled. Like you, I’m primarily interested only in skincare and I’d prefer to get those types of products, especially in the more expensive green beauty boxes so I’ll just take them month-by-month. 🙂 Maybe when you email to cancel, you can ask them when spoilers for August’s box will be coming out, as seeing the spoilers before you’re charged may sway your decision to not cancel. I should have done that now that I think about it. 😀

      • Thanks for the reply, Luna! Luckily I found Marne’s review this morning so I have decided to unsub for now. The Aug/Sept products look nice but not anything revolutionary that I don’t already have a similar version of.

I’m basically trying to do the same thing you mentioned. I’d rather just unsubscribe and resubscribe wherever I can so I’m not so overwhelmed. I even changed from annual to seasonal with FFF which kills me because I don’t get to choose as many of my items and more importantly don’t get first dibs on add-ons, since that’s 90% of the reason I still subscribe. Unfortunately it isn’t working out that well with them because I think I will get billed before most of the spoilers are released.
But it’s working with several others so I feel a bit better about spending without ever using some of my stuff. I do gift and donate a great deal of it though. I also send my sister giant (heavy) boxes of products that are brand new or just sampled/tested once a couple of times a year and it makes her so happy.

I have my different phases too. I got into coloring for a while a few years ago and bought just about every type of marker, pen and colored pencil out there. Even a fancy quarterly set from QVC or HSN. Plus TONS of coloring books. Then I just lost interest. Way before I could use or even try most of my supplies. The good news is that I kept it all and have started doing it again. It is quite relaxing and helps keep me from constantly shopping or just browsing online all the time. Of course I have now started keeping my eye out for more supplies again. 😄

  39. Yay for early and full spoilers!!!

  40. Easy pass for me. Have enough samples of beauty product to kat for years. Also there usually isn’t enough in a sample to see if product works.

  41. The samples look barbie sized. Now i just need a doll house

    • I was thinking that they were a tad bit small , but I love your response !!

  42. July was the first time I was truly let down by this box. August looks better because I love most of these brands, but it’s nothing exciting

  43. Easy skip for me. Great brands, but teeny, tiny sample sizes. (That said, I got that exact same sample of the SkinMedica TNS Eye Repair in their Best of Dermstore box, and it’s fantastic. If I had $100 to blow on an eye cream, that’d definitely be it.)

    • I fell in love with that eye cream too! I won’t ever be spending anywhere near $100 on eye cream though…crazy expensive!

      • My eye cream was almost completely empty, i had to squeeze all the way down and a tiny bit came out. Very dissapointed. They will be hearing from me. This is a repeat but the last one actually had some product in it.

  44. This looks fantastic to me! So many great brands. I don’t mind lots of smaller items or repeats with these sort of brands. I skipped July but happily will be ordering August!

    • Agree! I’m thrilled to try everything in August. I read some of these comments and don’t understand how folks devalue the box. Subscription boxes are for exactly that: samples. Full size items are lagniappe (bonus/extra little something). If someone is not pleased with subscription boxes, why get them? Just go buy full size utems and be happy, lol.

  45. You’re right about the sample sizes, although the PCA Skin Lip Booster is full size and RV $45. I recently tried a sample of it and really liked it, so likely will get the box just for that with the rest as a bonus.

  46. Can you skip months with this sub?

    • You can’t technically skip, but you can cancel at any time and then start right back up again quite easily on-line. I do it often.

  47. $25.00 for about 7 ounces.

    • Yes. Now we are paying companies for the kinds of samples that used to be free less than 10 years ago. And people line up to do it. I remember going home with bags of free samples this size from Nordstrom or Macy’s and even Saks You’d think since we are paying money these companies would try to offer a genuine “trial size”.

  48. I’m so glad I cancelled this. The products have almost all been sample size since I cancelled in Jan or Feb (can’t remember which)… Beautyfix used to be so good but this year has sucked majorly.

    • June’s box had several full sizes of pretty pricey products.

    • I wholeheartedly agree! June was good, but this used to be such a reliably solid box- hoping it improves in September & beyond.
This will be my second month I skipped

  49. Wow that is not good. Tiny little samples. What happened to full size items?

    • A lot of repeats too.

    • The glowing reviews and one full sized product were the reasons I signed up. Then it was all tiny samples after my first month so I emailed and they refunded my box, then I cancelled. SR cream but only 5ml?? I got a full sized SR cream in another box for $25, plus 4 other full sized items. Beautyfix needs to step it up.

      • Agreed. I’ve received 3 different full sized Sunday Riley products in boxes $15- $25.. these tiny samples in a box that’s $25 ain’t in the game no more!
