The Sunday Riley serum gave me an allergic reaction of some sort…I used it twice several months ago and dealt with bumps all over my face- but didn’t know this serum was the culprit until this past week when I tried it again!

Anyone else have this issue? Wondering if it was a bad batch or truly an allergy!

If the anniversary box is supposed to be their worst box ever, they succeeded. Tiny tubes were empty. Cleanser was damaged. This used to be a really great sub, not anymore.

Terri

I totally agree

Yeah beautyfix used to be so great with some full size items : I cancelled awhile ago when products got smaller and smaller ! I hope they go back to the great box they once were ;/

This was the worst box ever. I am angry. Every item was tiny. Nothing was full-sized. The cleanser bottle looked like it was in a motorcycle accident w/severe road rash. I did not receive the lip product or the exfoliant. The only item I was excited about was the Sunday Reilly serum, but alas, the bottle was empty. This was the last straw, I quit.

I got the box and it’s not worth it. SkinMedica and Sunday Riley were empty tubes. No full size samples. This box was supposed to be their 20th anniversary. It was disappointing.

All 3 of my SR, skinmedica and skinceuticals were empty so half the box was worthless. This is the worst box I have ever gotten, they are all unusable, there isn’t even enough product for one use! I sent them a complaint on their website and I suggest all of you do the same. This isn’t right, they are sending us nothing and basically calling it a value. Whomever is reviewing this box needs to value the product on the actual amount of product not the size listed on the package because there is NO product in any of these tubes.

Oh, my! THIS was their anniversary box?? Dermstore advertises it as “the best box EVER.” No, Beauty Fix. I’ve subscribed four years or a little more and this is the absolute WORST box I’ve EVER gotten. And you’re right, the Sunday Riley and SkinMedica are almost empty!! Please return to your glory days, Beauty Fix. I am cutting all my boxes except Ipsy Plus, Allure and Beauty Fix but I may have to cut them too if this is what the box will look like going forth. I have dropped Sephora Play, Macy’s and a few others. Jury is still out on Boxycharm & BoxyLuxe but it’s not looking good for them.

Usually I love BeautyFix and I am occasionally downright thrilled to receive the products and try them out but all the products were so small – some were downright tiny – I don’t know that I’ll be able to make a decision on the products. I also want to know what they were thinking. If you hype a box and it’s your birthday celebration box… it should be fantastic at the least and this isn’t even good with all of what should be free samples. I see no value. One more month like this and BeautyFix is gone.

Ayesha

Beautyfix seems to go up and have a really great amazing box, and then slide way down and have really disappointing boxes.
Their june box was off the charts good, full size Colorscience sunscreen, though it was sad they did not cater to POC and only had the two lightest shades, plus june box had like 3 full size items
I honestly feel instead of having a box like this august one with 8 tiny samples and one full size, they could offer us like 5 good products in decent sizes and everyone would be happy.
In regards to repeat items, some are ok, like sunscreen, or a great serum.
For me I feel its even worse as the skinceuticals product they are including I can walk into the skin clinic and get up to 2 of each product in those sizes FREE.
They should at the very least, include travel sizes that people cant just get free in stores.
To add insult to injury, their website is saying “It’s our anniversary & we’re celebrating with a bestseller-packed BeautyFix! Order now”
So I keep clicking on the banner and it takes me to a page with a PTR cucumber gel mask in a 14ml size, so I go to their facebook page to find this (what I thought would be) amazing limited edition anniversary box of sorts, only to find out that it’s just the August 2019 box.
That said, I like that I can go on the site and buy extras of the older boxes that I did enjoy, so at least I’ll still ne getting a beautyfix this month, just not the august one.

It looks worse in person ugh. Just opened my box and was like ‘uh, where’s the rest? Like is this seriously it?!’ I’m usually pretty easy but this is just bad.

Reply ButtonReply

Punkykiki

Yes!!! That was my exact reaction!!! They were all tiny samples that are usually free or included in a GWP. What were thinking????

Reply ButtonReply

Punkykiki

* What were THEY thinking? (correcting my post)

Carla

WOW, the samples are so small. Most of them that is for $25. IDK if its worth bothering or not anymore. My review will be BAD based on sizes for sure!!

Heather

Went to check out beautyfix on their site and the only option available is to purchase past boxes. No way to sign up for this month. Maybe they are doing some site maintenance, idk. Hopefully, they aren’t getting rid of the monthly sub.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

If you haven’t done so yet, you might want to check back. I just checked, and the option to sub is back up. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Cai

Ugh don’t need it but kinda want it. Been wanting to try that Eminence scrub for years. So, do I just buy one or buy this box? Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Marie-Elena Britt

It’s so small don’t even bother. This month is horrible.

Reply ButtonReply

katharyn

Agree….dont bother! I rarely am disappointed in beauty fix…..but this time I am. A handful of tiny samples. What happened to the good stuff??? Ridiculous!! I have always counted on beauty fix to come through for me!! UGH

Dot

There stuff has gotten so small and tiny :/ I’m glad I cancelled awhile ago … I remember when I first joined they had decent size stuff plus some regular sized items I miss the old BF , not worth it to me anymore

Reply ButtonReply

h

I know, right?! It used to be so wonderful. They would always include a tool, like a dermaneedle or a high-end brush, plush one full-sized sunscreen or something of a known name brand. Now, so many tiny samples, like the $10 boxes. I cancelled and miss the original box so much. I’d pay more if they would bring back the one that had a beauty tool and a great assortment of products of decent sizes.

TC

Actually this is the best box they have had in months! I am Happy!

Taralynn

I cancelled my subscription. not enticing enough for me

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

Way to many samples and repeats ! Already have given half these items out previously. I cancelled last month and definitely wont renew this month either. They need to get back to what they were doing full sized newer items

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

Ditto

👍 agreed

Courtney

My first thought was to skip August due to all of these small samples but it is good products but then again… Their really to small to test to even see if they start to work… Ugh decisions decisions!!! lol

Reply ButtonReply

gabriela

August is a nope for me! I can’t with all the sample sizes. It seems like they are alternating “good” months-(full size items) with sample months. I’ll be curious to see if September is awesome like June & April.

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya

I saw this spoiler and ran to cancel my sub for the month. I really liked the last 2 months, but this one is a dud for me.

Twyla

I love PCA Skin products, that lip plumper is full size, and is something I haven’t tried. Other than the Oribe that I will gift I will use the rest myself. It isn’t their most exciting month, but I’m still in!

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

I must be the only one that doesn’t mind repeats! In fact brands like these I’m happy to have repeats 😍

Reply ButtonReply

FM

Yup. Skipping this month. I coveted this box for months when I would see spoilers and there would always be one or two full size items that were awesome looking. I finally ended up subscribing, but that was around the time that they started doing the smaller sample sizes. Sigh.

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon

At first I was disappointed with this box. I almost have to force myself to use tiny samples like these, but I researched the box and crunched the numbers. All of the items are rated really well. The lip plumper is actually full size, and it retails for $45. Values for some of the the items included are: Skinceuticals $20, Epionce $26, Sunday Riley $14. Yes, the samples are small, and there are some repeats, but the repeats I have tried are pretty great.

Reply ButtonReply

Barb

Sharon, that’s really helpful. I may have to rethink this one. I appreciate you sharing your research.

Sharon S Higgins

No problem! Like I said, I considered passing on this one too, but I am interested to see if the lip product fills lines like some reviews report. I am also a huge fan of SkinCeuticals, so I will be delighted to try the Resveratrol.

Laurie

So glad I already unsubbed a couple of days ago. So many repeats and tiny samples are in this box. Other than the New Beauty Test Tube, this is my most expensive box and it’s just not thrilling me as of late. I had two subs for it, one for me and one for my son’s girlfriend and I cancelled both.

Reply ButtonReply

MMKinPA

All it would take for me would be one full or decent sized hero product. Unfortunately the largest products in this mix are things I don’t want. Easy pass. Bummer because I really WANT to like this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

Been with Dermstore too long I guess, as I believe these are all repeats at some point?

Reply ButtonReply

Iggy'sRock

This is becoming like Birchbox. I hate watching it crash and burn. It used to be so awesome. Now they both are tiny samples, with big hopes and dreams that no one will notice the change.

Heathers

This is what i was just thinking!! Since when (well its been a few months now) did Beautyfix not have a FULL size item. That was one of the best perks of this sub. The one or two FULL size items and then all the filler. There was even that one season when they sent the smaller PTR Irish Moor Mud and gave us $25 Dermstore credit/gift card to make up for it. I havent subbed her since last November and havent seen but maybe one box since i was sad to of missed. But not sad enough to buy lol.
Hopefully they will get it together as i loved this sub at one point!!
