Say It With a Sock Women’s May 2019 1-Pair Review
The socks arrive with a card to give you some explanation of what’s about to be on your feet! This month offers up a bit of a debate, and I love the question they raised on the card - are socks with sandals okay? I support everyone’s fashion choices, but for me personally, I don’t typically wear the two together, with one exception: I love wearing socks with those sporty, massaging, slide sandals!
Watermelon Socks
There are few symbols as quintessentially summer-themed as watermelon, but this pattern feels like a fresh twist on a beloved staple pattern. I wear a LOT of black, so the backdrop of these juicy slices is going to fit right into my wardrobe. They went with a bright, but not neon green color for the top cuff, while their signature reinforced heel and toe have been done in a nice hot pink. These socks are a 70% cotton, 25% polyester, and 5% spandex blend, which helps them keep their shape wash after wash in addition to being pretty breathable and soft. Lastly, the good people at Say It With a Sock didn’t forget my love of puns - the phrase “Seed ya later” is printed right on the sole!
Verdict: Two toes way up for this summery pair of socks! I liked the length and color scheme this month, and you know me - I’m all about the puns. Even though summer is here, a few nights have been a little on the chillier side, and these have been awesome to pull on before bed to stay cozy when lows dip into the 50’s overnight. I’m surprised at how well these fit and go with other things in my wardrobe, and I know I’ll wear them year-round! Can’t wait to see what’s next from Say It With a Sock!
