Um, just NO. I absolutely LOVE Wayne Goss, but this box, I do NOT.

The cost is crazy! Part of getting sub boxes is you get crazy value. While I would like to try the products I can’t fork over that much for them

I’m dying to buy something but can’t get excited about any of the new boxes on offer. I was hoping that Mother’s Day would be a bonanza for exciting limited edition beauty boxes but I feel like, it’s been all boring. There’s nothing new on this collection. Please, please, please let’s find something fun and new

Hi Karen! I’m not sure if you’ll see this, but I thought I’d ask…
Did you see that Beauty Expert is coming out with a new box? The first spoiler has been released and it’s a full size Omorovicza Acid Fix (retails for $125). The box will be £99/~$129, and is valued at £275/~$358! This looks like a great inclusion in the box, and if there’s one more item in the box that look this good to me, I’ll definitely be getting it. 🙂

Hi Luna! Can’t wait to check it out. I used to think Omorovicza was special until I started seeing them I. Just about any « luxury » box. Maybe I just got super spoiled. 😂

I still see the value in these boxes for those that are new to the products or have tried them and love them and want more of them. But I also agree with your point that for those of us that have been in the game for a while, we’re not really seeing anything new that excites us because we’ve been there, done that. 🙂 I still sub to plenty of beauty boxes (I just can’t seem to give my favorites up! lol), but in terms of one time purchase boxes or gwp bags, I’ve only gotten a teensy, tiny fraction of what I got in prior years for the exact reasons you cited. I just haven’t really seen much that make me go “gimme!!” recently. That’s not a dig on the products or boxes, but just that in most cases I already have what I like that’s in them!

Same, I skipped May’s allure and regular ipsy. Just not exciting. It was hard but I feel good about it! Hopefully ipsy doesn’t show me what I missed and make me cry. First ipsy plus (spoilers didnt excite me), glossybox and beautyfix to look forward too!

2 of these products are actually repeats from the 1st Lydia Elise Millen X Cult Beauty Box. The Sunday Riley Luna Oil and Alpha-H Liquid Gold. For the $$ I liked her collab much more!!

The actual price is $150. They deduct UK taxes if shipping (free) to US. It comes to 50% off Sephora prices. Good deal if you need those items.

That’s good to know, thanks!

Meh. Nothing here that I either don’t already own or tried and didn’t love.

I adore Wayne Goss and I have been treating myself to his brushes which are fabulous. I assume they are exclusive with Beautylish which is why he couldn’t include in this box.

However, this box is an easy pass for me since there just isn’t enough “real” value in the items being offered. ND eye shadow is great but I don’t need “camel” colors and I have an ample supply of blush including Orgasm – does anyone NOT have Orgasm by now? LOL. For the rest, I can purchase exactly the high end skin care I want for $180 paying that amount for a “bundle” makes no sense.

It’s an interesting business model as I imagine there must be a market for people who are willing to spend this much to someone else’s choices when they can use that money to get exactly what they want.

But then, I am also confused by the expensive lifestyle boxes as well – I don’t want someone else picking out my jewelry; tchotchkes or accessories and paying a relatively high amount for the “surprise”.

With my other beauty boxes (including the relatively expensive ones like Boxyluxe or Glam Bag Plus), there are always enough items that I actually want/like/need to recoup the price and then I just give away whatever I don’t want or need.

As I wrote, I adore Wayne Goss and just wish he had come out with a box that made more economic sense. I am still waiting for the eye shadows he announced a few months ago. When I saw he had a box, I was hoping it was in conjunction with their release.

I agree about the blush. My very first thought after reading the list of products was, “Seriously? Who in the world doesn’t already own Nars Orgasm blush???”
I’m sure nearly everyone who has the least interest in makeup either owns it in full or deluxe sample size or has at least tried it and gotten rid of it if they didn’t like it. Heck there’s even a jumbo size of it on Sephora now. How many blushes have ever been so popular there was enough of a demand to make a product that generally takes quite a while to finish that big? Other than for a makeup artist perhaps. Personally I like it but I don’t reach for it that often. I enjoy trying new colored makeup products way too much to commit to any particular one for as long as it would take to get through a jumbo version.

The only thing that’s popping out to me is the DE eye cream. I actually tried to use my 15gbp gift card on it a couple of weeks ago, but apparently Cult Beauty doesn’t ship DE products to the U.S., which I thought was weird… especially since it’s in this box that ships internationally. I’d gift the eyeshadow, have many samples of the Luna oil that could make up at least two full size bottles, have a sample or two of that blush which always take forever to go through, and I’ve used up a couple of bottles of the Alpha H, but I guess my skin doesn’t “need” it because I never noticed any changes and it just felt like a regular toner to me.

Overall though, I think this is a really great box for the price, and it would be an awesome box for someone who already loves these products and want more of them or who would like to discover them for the first time. This could make an awesome Mother’s Day gift too! 🙂

Just a reminder to those who may be interested in the box and received the Cult Beauty goody bag from 2 or 3 months ago to use the 15gbp gift card that was included as it expires tomorrow. In combination with the elimination of the VAT, the price of the box will be reduced by approximately 27%.

Wayyy to much && nothing super exciting!

kind of boring box. By now I think everyone has Luna oil. Eyeshadow is too dull, I wish he included some colors, Natasha has similar palettes with more vibrant colors.
Pat Macgrath has a sale, I better go and shop there 🙂

The price will actually be lower I believe. The listed price includes UK sales tax which will be deducted from the price for U.S. buyers (specifically anyone outside the EU). That’s what it states on the site and I have bought from Cult Beauty before and that’s how it worked.

I guess the costs reflects that everything is full size but most people have these items already. There’s nothing new and exciting here.

Too rich for my blood 😂

I’m surprised none of his brushes are included!

I thought the same thing, but then realized that Cult Beauty doesn’t sell Wayne Goss.

That would have been awesome! That, and a lower price. Too bad about that. Wayne is one of the few beauty influencers I actually respect.

I feel the same way about Wayne Goss.
