I should have listened to all of you. Right away I had a problem with my account. Although I was told to set up the account after placing the order they didn’t link the order and said there is no way to do so. I have no way to access my order. The customer service was unhelpful and just kept sending stock responses with please let us know if we can assist you with anything else. But you haven’t assisted me at all. I went from being their most excited new customer to the unhappiest. Their terms are archaic. Looks like I’ll need to get a new credit card number.

I subscribed since its 4 separate payments. I did notice after the fact that there is no way to log into your account to change your terms so it may be hard to cancel. I love Paper Source and loved the first box so figured it’s safe that I will like it enough for a year but I am concerned that I can’t see my order going forward.
The thermal tote was family sized, not lunch sized, so even better than pictured. It was worth it just for the $40 coupon for the free class. The tea is delicious and even the box it came in is beautiful. Not worrying yet, but hopefully it won’t be an issue after the year if I decide to cancel.

I liked this well enough to subscribe. I love that it includes a seat for one of the workshops. I hope that happens each quarter! Would definitely make it worthwhile. I was concerned about the annual commitment, but they did just bill for a quarterly, so I’m not worried. I agree that I wish they had more cards in it. I can take or leave stickers, but I’ll find a home for them, and I really love the curation of this.

This looks super fun BUT I cannot commit to a full year for $200! maybe if a year was only $100 or something. hope they allow folks to get single boxes in the future. this is def different than my usual makeup/skin care subs.

I would love to see you review this sub box! I adore Paper Source but would want a better idea of what to expect from the boxes before committing.

Watching a handful of subs go under lately, I will never sub for a year. What are they thinking? Would be very interested in reviews and would love to sub if it wasn’t a year commitment.

Yes, please! I <3 Paper Source, but am I weird in wishing this actually included more paper goods (stationery/cardstock, envelopes, stickers, etc.)? Some of their novelty stuff is cute, but the only thing that appeals to me about this particular version of the box is the stickers and the fact that it buys you a seat in a class. Can't wait to hear what you think!

Yes!!! I would like more Paper Goods. Their novelty items are cute, but I go gaga over the beautiful paper in store. I would most definitely like to see more of that, or even some of the kits they have to make projects using their papers, envelope size guides, stationary, etc. I didn’t even notice that this subscription buys a seat in a workshop. That is very cool. So my thoughts are more paper products, and nix the annual subscription 🙂

Yes. Please review. I would not subscribe for a year though. Also, I wish they included some of their beautiful large paper sheets in the box.

I like this box actually but I don’t feel I want to commit to a year of a brand new box. Their marketing team didn’t really think this one through to a logical conclusion. I’m sure they are trying to avoid people starting and stopping their subscription and to guarantee their cash flow for the first year of the box.
However, this is a big ‘ask’ for a start up box and I wouldn’t think Papersource should be that concerned with going under due during the first year of the box since they are a large company.
The whole thing seems kind of weird, actually. It will be interesting to see if they actually get many subscribers with these terms.
That being said, I would like to see the box reviewed. (Thinking they’re going to have to send out free boxes to reviewers to get this started, though.)

Yes please!
Funny: I’ve been thinking that if only Paper Source does a subscription box, and now here it is!
However this particularly box isn’t very attractive to me 🙁

I don’t like this particular box, but I think it would be good if it wasn’t a summer/flower overkill theme. Will likely subscribe in fall!

Yes, please. I’m interested in the box and will likely purchase.

Yes please. I would love to see it reviewed a few times before I would commit to subscribe. I like Papersource for paper-craft, stationery, desk supplies & the like. This first box just seems like lots of random silly stuff.

Interesting box but absolutely hate their terms and annual only policy. Would never subscribe based on that alone. I refuse to be locked into a year of any subscription box. Will look for the review though!

Yes, Please. But see if you can talk them down to a quarterly subscription. An annual untested box makes me nervous.

Not sure I would buy it but would love to see a review!

I would never pay a year up front for a brand new box no matter how trusted the company might be.

It is payable quarterly even though you are committing to a year when you sign up. I’m still not gonna do it though.

Allison
Oh ok. That makes it a little bit better but like you I still wouldn’t do it.

The subscription terms sound confusing when reading but I believe they just pre-authorize the full year to confirm the card has that much money but only bill you per quarter. That’s what it sounds like to me but I’m not positive.
1. Seasonal Subscriptions
A Seasonal Subscription (also referred to as “Subscription”) consists of an initial Seasonal Box (also referred to as “Box,” “Subscription Box” or “Lifestyle Box”) and an additional Box sent out quarterly thereafter—Spring (shipping in February), Summer (May), Fall (August) and Winter (November). Each Box contains an assortment of gift, stationery, food and lifestyle consumer products selected by the Paper Source merchant team. Each Box may not contain all of the said product categories. If you sign up for a Seasonal Subscription, your card will be authorized for $199.80 once to confirm your card then you will be charged $49.95 quarterly (as a nonrefundable purchase) when your Box ships. Thereafter, your credit card will be charged $49.95 at the time of shipment for each Box (four times a year). Your subscription will automatically renew on the anniversary of your original order date (after you’ve had your subscription for a year). Unless you cancel within the time frame listed below, you will be charged as described above through the life of your subscription.

I believe you interpreted it correctly. But what’s the point of authorizing the full amount but then actually charging only quarterly. Just because a card has $200 available credit today doesn’t mean it will in three months or a year down the road.

Also, what if the card expires before the end of the year? Then the next charge(s) would not go through.

Like most others, I would love to see it reviewed but can’t imagine subbing to it with a one year commitment. It’s too much of a risk not just because of the potential for their financial uncertainty, there’s my finances to consider too. You never know when something financially catastrophic could happen and you’ll need every penny you’ve got.
Also, while at first glance this looks like a really cute and fun collection of items, there are also several items I wouldn’t use or even have anyone to give/donate them to. Although I do appreciate that the “hero” item looks useful for nearly everyone and the reusable straw set is practical as well. Overall it looks very interesting but not enough to pay $50 a box plus pay for a whole year upfront.

I’ll read the reviews but you lost me at the price point and the one-year commitment. I absolutely love and trust Allure, Ipsy, and Boxycharm and have subbed to them for several years. I won’t even commit to a full year with them, so I sure as heck won’t do that for something I’ve never heard of. The way a lot of these subs are here one day and gone the next, no thanks.

I would read the review but I would probably never buy this box. For this price, I would rather subscribe to FabFitFun or a stationery box.

I would read the review on it. Not sure I like that they are making you commit to a full year, but that is my own thoughts on what terms I accept from subscriptions. Doesn’t impact my willingness to read the reviews.
