April 2019 MoonBox “Ignite” Review
The first card MoonBox provides is a helpful survey that allows you to take a moment to write down your intentions this moon cycle, plan how to take action on said intentions, and what to leave behind and learn from this phase.
Here is another aspect of the Moonbox’s facelift, a very detailed and organized box guide. This insert describes the featured items included in the box, as well as instructions on how they should be used. It also gives a general overview of the major cosmic events happening this month. This month has a New Moon in Aries, giving us a well-deserved boost after a dreary winter. This month’s Ignite theme is a reminder to tend to your inner flame, which could mean looking before you leap or running with that inner child!
Wooden Lunar Calendar/Collectible Crystal Card
This month, Moonbox included a stylish wooden lunar calendar and stand instead of the colorful cosmic moon calendar they’ve sent in previous boxes. On the back of this calendar is a collectible crystal card with this month’s featured crystal, Apophyllite. While I do miss the nod to each sign’s symbols, I love the sleek design of the new calendar and the crystal detailing on the backside.
Lizush Clay Mask – Retail Value $18
I really cherish skincare with simple ingredients, and it doesn’t get much more simple than a mask with only five natural ingredients. It took a minute to work up a good consistency, but there is always a learning curve to a powder mask. I mixed this mask with water forming a paste, and haphazardly applied it to my face and neck. I let it sink in for about 10 minutes, wet my hands, and massaged my face while slowly removing the mask. My face felt baby soft and exfoliated without any abrasive grit or irritation. This is a great mask! I will definitely give it a try with olive oil next time for more hydration.
I keep an oil rollerball in my bag at all times for when I need to take a minute to myself, and this blend really fits the bill. Bergamot is one of my favorite notes, and the hint of mint helps to melt stress right off. Applied to pressure points or temples, this oil may quell heated emotions and trauma while stimulating energy blockages, if not, at least it smells very good!
And my pin addiction grows with another cool piece; this black metal fire will burn on my favorite jean jacket! It is small and lightweight, with only one pin back, the perfect size to wear on a pocket flap or lapel. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it online, but I linked the company’s website.
Love and Light School Crystal Grid Cards – Retail Value $19
This deck of colorful crystal grid cards is the perfect tool for anyone wanting to learn more about crystal grids and readings.
The deck includes 54 cards, 6 of which include explicit instructions on several ways to use these, as well as one card that has a promo code for $20 off any crystal healing class or program. I won’t pretend that I know a lot about crystal grids, but I am eager to learn! I feel this set will be a great learning guide and will be fun to play with the next time we entertain guests.
I appreciate that Moonbox sent this precious crystal in a protective pouch. Another feature of the new Moonbox is there will only be one premium stone sent out each month. The back of the lunar calendar has an abundance of info on each month’s featured crystal.
This blushing beauty is Apophyllite, used for angelic connection and clarity, associated with Gemini, Aquarius and Libra signs. MoonBox provides us with a mini ritual: hold crystal in left hand, breathe in faith & trust with each inhale, release doubt & fear with each exhale. Repeat for 1-5 minutes.
This glorious stone is commonly used for its light properties, which can eliminate stress in an environment, making a clear pathway for our intentions to come to fruition. Apophyllite can also empower the curiosity of our inner child which ignites focus on the present, helping us to experience each thought and deed that could aid in meeting our intentions.
The Verdict: Gaia MoonBox really impressed me with their upgrades this month. I love the new, stylish calendars, the new box insert, and the wealth of information provided on this month’s crystal. Each item this month was a perfect fit for me, and I am excited to see what next month has in store.
