Dia Style March 2019 - Closed Box Front

Dia & Co
2.5 overall rating

Dia & Co is a monthly styling service that caters to women plus sizes 14 and up. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes and dislikes. For $20/month, a Dia stylist selects five curated pieces sent directly to me. I am able to try them on at the convenience of my own home and only pay for pieces I decide to keep! The $20 styling fee is applied to whatever I do keep, but if I keep the entire box 25% is taken off as well!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me and reflect my style and price preferences, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!

Dia Style by Dia & Co. Review March 2019

Dia Style March 2019 - Booklet Front

I normally do not review Dia Style, only Dia Active, but I am actually super happy to get to this month because I love all things Dia! However, as things were not exactly planned to go down this way, I discarded the original invoice and note from my stylist before I photographed them. My stylist sent over a very nice note stating why she chose these pieces for me, and the invoice showed what is pictured above. Additionally, the invoice showed that if I keep all five pieces I get a 25% discount, and my $20 styling fee is deducted from whatever I keep. (See the math below in the value breakdown!)

Dia Style March 2019 - West Chester Maxi Dress By London Times 1 Dia Style March 2019 - West Chester Maxi Dress By London Times 2 Dia Style March 2019 - West Chester Maxi Dress By London Times 3

West Chester Maxi Dress by London Times – Cost to Keep $75

I am a firm refuter of the idea that short girls can't wear maxi dresses. Yes, we can! I like the way they look, too. This particular one is a stretchy spandex blend, and it has cool colors and pattern. I think it does a good job highlighting my curves without being too clingy. I also like the double slits along the legs. I don't like sleeveless things, though, so this would need to be worn with a top layer of some sort. I also prefer a more open neckline. I guess I have mixed feelings about this piece!

Dia Style March 2019 - Juniper Short Ribbed Detail Cardigan By Meri Skye With Hand Dia Style March 2019 - Juniper Short Ribbed Detail Cardigan By Meri Skye

Juniper Short Ribbed Detail cardigan by Meri Skye – Cost to Keep $49

This is a nice, medium weight cotton blend knit cardigan in a lovely teal color. I like the ribbing and the extra seams at the trim. It's very pretty, but it is about to get really hot here in Georgia really fast, so I think I need to hold off on cardigans for a while.

Dia Style March 2019 - Orlando Faux Wrap Dress By East Adeline

Orlando Faux Wrap Dress by East Adeline - Cost to Keep $55

Polka dots are one of my favorite patterns, and the white dots on this pink dress are so cute! It reminds me a bit of Minnie Mouse. I love it! This is a lightweight, unlined spandex blend, and I think the sleeve length makes it a great piece for spring. I also really like that it is a faux wrap, yet it is not too revealing in the chest area. So pretty! This exact colorway/pattern is not available on the Dia & Co site, but there are lots of other options available!

Dia Style March 2019 - Tessie Short Sleeve Tee By Molly And Isadora

Tessie Short Sleeve Tee by Molly & Isadora - Cost to Keep $32

Dia Style now has the option to choose items to try from their website. I wanted to try this tee, so I selected it, and here it is. I'm so glad I did because I really like it! The fabric is a synthetic blend, but it has a natural fiber feel to it. I think the golden yellow color is also really pretty! It fits well and is super comfortable. What more could I want from a tee, really?

Dia Style March 2019 - Dakota Destructed Boyfriend Jean By Molly And Isadora

Dakota Destructed Boyfriend Jean by Molly & Isadora - Cost to Keep $65

I love these jeans! I wish they were a little darker, but otherwise, they are amazing! I think the destructed areas are nicely placed and not overdone. The main thing, though, is the fabric. It's like butter. They fit perfectly and have the ideal amount of stretch. They are also a great length for me. These are awesome!

Verdict: I was so excited to have the opportunity to try Dia Style by Dia & Co this month, and they did not disappoint! I really liked trying everything, but my favorites were the tee and jeans. I have to say, of all the styling boxes I have tried, I really feel like Dia is the one that most closely reads my feedback and actually tries to make my next box even better. They also have good prices. I love Dia & Co!

To Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: This box has a $20 styling fee and includes free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $276. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $187 for the whole box. That's a discount of about 32%. That's a great deal!

Agree that the pink dress was less flattering than the maxi. It was kinda … matronly.
Also I think every piece would benefit from a better fitting, proper brassiere. Would really help align and streamline your shape and curves.
The yellow color looks the most complementary against your skin tone- really lovely!

I thought all the picks were great and flattering- aside from the cardigan. It didn’t play well with the other items. They should have opted for a kimono.

My computer monitor must be waaaay off, because that cardigan doesn’t look teal to me at all. More like a light blue/grey….almost lavender. But nowhere near being teal.

Agree. There’s nothing teal about it. Definitely lavender-ish.

Same. After looking at the picture, then reading the description – I had to scroll back up. Teal? It def looks purple’ish to me!

I love the pink dress on you! And I have a thing against polka dots. Definitely look for more items in that color because it really pops on you. I could never pull off that shade of pink. The blue dress looked good too but if you don’t like sleeveless you won’t reach for it.

I think you look beautiful in the pink dress. I’m not so keen on the blue. I think placement of medallion prints are tricky, and it’s a bit long on you. Love the yellow t-shirt, too.

I agree, that pink dress is lovely on you.
On a random note, I wish the destruction phase on jeans would go away.

LOL I remember my mom buying me new jeans back in the 80’s. I promptly ripped holes, sandpapered them, burned them… whatever I could to distress and mangle them. Drove her nuts to watch. Now of course we pay even more for jeans that come already torn to hell! 😉

Something tells me this look won’t fully go away 🙂

Anna I love the blue paisley on you, with a sheer top or lightweight cardigan it would be adorable. The pink is very bright and cheery too!

I LOVE that pink dress on you, so cute!!!

Great review. I believe wear what you want to wear, but personally have to say the maxi dress is much more flattering on you than the pink dress. The pink dress looks nice, but I thought the maxi dress made you look really pulled together- just my two cents.

I agree with Tara!! Wear what you like and feel good in, but the pink dress was the least likable of all the pieces, to me. Loved the yellow shirt!!
