Aroma Box March 2019 “The Secure” Review
This month’s theme is “Cedarwood Sampler”. The theme has been zodiac based for a long while now, so it is fun to see something different! And good news, I like cedarwood!
The information sheet from Herb Stop is really impressive. There’s a lot of knowledge packed in here! Every oil they sent is matched with three different usage tips. That’s really helpful! Plus on the reverse side, there is a recipe for “Cedarwood Heaven.”
I also wanted to point out that their information sheet contains important safety information under each oil. It’s definitely great info to have on hand. Please make sure to keep your essential oils away from children and pets.
Texas Cedarwood, 1/6 oz – Retail Value $8.20 per 1/2 oz
All of this month’s oils are different types of cedarwood. I think most people know what cedar smells like. They are only slightly different from each other, and I guess you would say this one is a little deeper than the others? In any case, this is the oil to use for relaxation. It helps to dissipate anxiety and agression. It is also good for oily hair and skin.
Atlas Cedarwood, 1/6 oz – Retail Value $9.99 per 1/2 oz
Atlas cedarwood is a little less heavy than the others and has a bit of a citrus scent. The tree itself can live up to 1000 years, so it is associated with strength and fortitude. It is also a calming scent and is good for bronchitis and urinary tract infections.
Blood Cedarwood, 1/6 oz – Retail Value $10.70 per 1/2 oz
I think blood cedarwood is the standard cedarwood scent you might expect, but the color of the oil is a dark red. It is also very calming and grounding, but it is well-known as a skin care ingredient. It is good for maturing skin, as well as for common skin ailments such as acne, dandruff, and eczema.
Thankful Roll-On Essential Oil Blend – Retail Value $16.95
This month’s blend has just a hint of cedarwood in a blend that is warm and sweet. It is meant to encourage feelings of reflection and gratitude. It is a blend of bergamot, cedarwood, grapefruit, ylang-ylang, spruce, oakmoss, and jojoba oils.
The Verdict: I am consistently impressed with the Aroma Box by Herb Stop. I am getting such a massive education on natural health and wellness through this subscription! The oils are top quality and purity. The curation is also spot on and always perfectly suited to the month. The value is also always consistently high. I am a big fan!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the April box. From Herb Stop:

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $24.99 including free shipping, which means that each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $6.25. The value of the oils included adds up to $26.58. That’s a discount of 6%. This is one of the lowest value boxes I have received from Herb Stop, and it is still at a discount, just as a reference.

I purchased a diffuser finally and a box of different oils, only to find out from my daughter that, a lot of the oils are toxic to our grand fur baby Nikita Grace. Bummer 🙁
Is it possible to use the oils and diffuser in a room or area that is off limits to your grand fur baby? I have cats and tea tree oil is very toxic to them; it doesnt mean I can’t ever use it (I find it useful for an array of topical maladies); just that I have to be very careful it never comes into their direct contact.
