Sisley February 2019 face oil Sisley February 2019 face oil open Sisley February 2019 face oil back

Black Rose Precious Face Oil, 0.01 fl oz – Estimated Value $2.80 (Buy a full size 0.84 oz for $235.00)

This little sample was so small, but it was packaged so beautifully I was very excited to use it. The little orb snapped open for a single use and I warmed it in my palms then patted it into my skin. Like all Sisley products, it smelled amazingly floral, botanical, and rich. My skin felt really soft after application. Since this formula contains both plum and camelina oil (both rich in fatty acids) I know it would have great long term benefits for my skin, but sadly this little sample was kind of a one-time pampering experience rather than enough to test this product long term.

Sisley February 2019 anti age cream Sisley February 2019 anti age cream back

Sisley L’Integral Anti-Age, 4 ml – Estimated Value $42.00 (Buy a full size 50 ml for $525.00)

This is the sort of formula I think of when I think of this brand: velvet creams with luxe ingredients and a smell that is out of this world amazing. This cream has a plethora of skin-loving ingredients that work together to help your skin resist the signs of aging associated with moisture loss and stress. It can be used both day and night but I will be saving this little tube for night time use right before bed, so my skin is extra radiant in the morning.

Sisley February 2019 instant perfect Sisley February 2019 instant perfect back

Instant Perfect, 1.4 ml – Estimated Value $5.04 (Buy a full size 20 ml here for $72.00)

I think another name for this product could be “primer”, as this silky formula goes on your face before makeup and leaves your pores and overall skin texture much smaller and smoother, respectively. It didn’t have that characteristic Sisley scent, but the formula itself was great! In addition to priming my skin for makeup, it also was super hydrating, something that many primers can’t claim. It finished in a satin powder texture and my makeup sat on top of it without moving all day.

Sisley February 2019 perfumed lotionSisley February 2019 perfumed lotion back

Sisley Izia Perfumed Body Lotion, 8 ml – Estimated Value $6.13 (Buy a full size 150 ml for $115.00)

I have gotten this lotion sample before in a Sisley box and it is by far one of my favorite of their products. I absolutely adore the scent, a dreamy and slightly odd mix of florals and pink peppercorn. It is complex and off-kilter enough for me to love it, but feminine and approachable enough to not offend people nearby. This lotion is powerfully scented, so much that you need not even wear perfume. This pouch actually lasts quite some time for a sample, so I am thrilled to have another round of this fragrance.

Sisley February 2019 hair oil Sisley February 2019 hair oil back

Precious Hair Care Oil, 10 ml – Estimated Value $10.00 (Buy a full size 100 ml for $100.00)

I don’t generally use hair oils, as I try to keep my rather textured hair pretty dry because I love volume. This blend of passion fruit, moringa, cotton, and shea oils is super lightweight and very slippery. I did apply this to my damp hair before bed, and although I loved the scent, I don’t see something like this becoming part of my general routine. I refuse to let any Sisley products go to waste though, and found that the leftovers on my hands were quite moisturizing when rubbed in, and this stuff actually made for a great cuticle oil!

Verdict: Sisley always feels like such a luxury, even when they send small samples. Each of their products feels amazing and smells even better! My favorites this month were the anti-aging cream and my second dose of perfumed lotion. I also loved the face oil, though a one time use is never ideal. The hair oil will get plenty of use, although not on my hair, and the primer was really fun to try! This month had a value of $65.97, which is a great value for a $10 box. The packets often do have at least two uses, so be careful with them and always use a toner before if you can because it will help you use less of this precious products each time!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. This wasn’t my favorite month but still nice. I’ve tried all these products before because Sisley repeats often which is fine with me. I bought the full size Hair oil and love it for my wavy, frizzy hair. I like the Day and Night cream but prefer it at night for my combo skin. The fragranced body cream is way too fragranced for me. I’m not a fan of the face oil but I don’t like face oils in general. This is a fantastic sub to try some super luxe products. But…if you love something, it will cost you. I love the firming serum but haven’t justified the $500+ price…yet.

    • Yeah, it is the ‘loving something’ that ends up being my $$$ problem.. their formulas though!!!

  2. I recently signed up for a six month sub. I don’t generally like small samples but I’m anxious to see if these products actually make me feel more luxurious if I’m using expensive product.

  3. I just love this subscription and these products! I think it’s worth noting you can pay $100 upfront for 12 months. That’s 2 months free.

  4. Over $500 for that full size anti-aging cream?!?! I thought I had already seen it all after a few years stalking this page. LOL. Well, I guess I don’t feel so bad for my recent spending sprees on DE and Dr. Jart to try to clear up my angry skin anymore…..

    • And $285 for .84 oz of oil. Instead of buying the cream and the oil you could have some freshening up at a medspa! Speaking from experience!

    • Nothing like a Sisley pricetag to justify an $85 Sunday Riley Serum or a $90 Perricone 😉

      • Lol!! That’s too funny 😀

      • Exactly! 🤣😂

    • They’ve sampled $600+ items in the box before, and I even think one time a $700+ item. I just remember that the packet sample was valued at something crazy like $42 or something.

      • Wow! I’m sure the ingredients and formulations are great but for that price tag I’d expect a full facelift so I know I’ll be let down no matter what! Lol.

      • If I had $$$ like that to spend on a face cream, I’d just opt for the facelift! 😀

      • Dude, even sulwhasoo is not that expensive. Bananas.

  5. I’ve been eyeing this subscription for awhile, but everyone mentions how great everything smells. I have very sensitive skin and can’t use items that are perfumed even if the items are listed as hypoallergenic. For those of you who use this – do you think that would be a problem with this line?

    • I’ve personally never had a problem with anything minus their masks–I’ll sometimes get red in the face from it. Otherwise, I love everything. They have sent a couple body lotions that were scented (in the green bottles) that I immediately passed on, but all their lotions and creams are so good!

    • I think you should be ok LizC, just avoid the perfumed lotion. It is POTENT.

  6. I love this sub. Does anyone know if it auto renews? I’m too lazy to look it up and y’all usually know more anyway. 😊

    • This sub does not auto-renew. 🙂

      • Thanks
