Here is the info sheet for this month’s box.
Petitfee Black Pearl and Gold Hydrogel Mask – Retail Value $6
I absolutely love hydrogel masks- they are so much more cooling and comfortable to wear! Thanks to the pearl powder and 24 karat gold the actual mask was a little shimmery, which I thought was neat. This came in two parts for optimal fit, and my skin felt soothed and hydrated after using. I wore this for almost 40 minutes, and I enjoyed the cooling sensation the entire time.
Keep Cool and Shine Mask – Retail Value $5
Keep Cool and Soothe Mask – Retail Value $5
I was SO excited to see two Keep Cool masks in this box- I think the brands Keep Cool and Soothe Bamboo Toner is right below my Holy Grail Origins Mega Mushroom Soothing toner in terms of hydration and relief it provides to skin, and I am more than halfway through a box of 10 of the Keep Cool Ocean mask. The shine mask has niacinamide, pearl extract, and jade to brighten skin, and the soothe mask has ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and flower extracts to soothe sensitive skin. Bonus- none of these masks have any drying alcohols, either!
Some By Mi Tea Tree Calming Glow Luminous Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $4
This sheet mask was impressive- it is one of the thinnest masks I have ever used, and it hugged every single curve of my face. It definitely was a very wet mask that dripped down to my neck a bit, but it didn't leave my skin sticky once I took it off. After further looking, it seems that this mask was so wet because each sheet mask has a full ampoule bottle inside! This is made with tea tree, calendula, and Centella to calm skin, and those ingredients always make my skin happy.
Some By Mi Diamond Brightening Glow Luminous Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $4
This has the same great thinness as the Tea Tree mask, and it was also super soaked thanks to an entire ampoule being inside the mask. This is made with pearl extract, pomegranate extract, and rose hip oil, and it definitely felt nourishing to my skin.
Goodal Lotus Water Infused Mask – Retail Value $3
Goodal Tea Tree Water Infused Mask – Retail Value $3
Goodal masks show up frequently in sheet mask boxes because they are affordable and offer a wide array of masks. So frequently, in fact, that I received these same exact variants in my May 2018 Pink Seoul Mask Box. They are basic masks, and they're fragrance-free. I'll probably pass these along to a friend because I like my sheet masks to have a bit more excitement.
Glowhill Glam Gold Makeup Facial Mask – Retail Value $5
I was so excited to try this mask- Glowhill has been appearing frequently on my Instagram feed. This mask is made with diamond and pearl to add some glow to your face before you apply makeup, and this definitely left my skin shimmering. I wouldn't use this every day, but before a big event where I really wanted to glow, I would reach for this mask.
Here is what my hand looked like after I finished rubbing in the excess serum.
A’Pieu Icing Sweet Bar Mask in Melon – Retail Value $3
A’Pieu Icing Sweet Bar Mask in Pineapple – Retail Value $3
Isn't the packaging on these sheet masks so fun? They are popsicle themed, and they smell likely like the fruit they are themed after- melon and pineapple, in my case. The sheet mask itself was a bit thicker than what I am used to, and it could have been considered slightly scratchy if I moved it around my face. Overall, I was happy with how well this absorbed into my skin- after 40 minutes my face felt nourished and any remaining serum absorbed easily.
The Saem Saemmul Dual-Tip Eyeshadow in Pink Shoe – Retail Value $10
This dual-ended eyeshadow stick has eyeshadow in the cap that a spongey wand dips into. The shade Pink Shoe features a shimmering pink eyeshadow on one end and a shimmering pinky brown on the other. Like most K-Beauty eyeshadow, while the powder is pigmented it doesn’t get very dark. I would probably use this along my upper and lower lash line to brighten my eyes on days I don’t want to do a full eye look but want to do something.
The Verdict: I genuinely love my PinkSeoul subscriptions, and this month felt like a big improvement over last month! I loved getting to try more Keep Cool products and a mask from Glow Hill, and I am always down for a new hydrogel mask. Other than the two Goodal repeats, I don’t have any complaints! Value-wise, this box had a total value of $51.
