I broke down and signed up for sub , I can’t afford to miss out on Sunday Riley’s skin care line since it works wonders on my skin and it’s super expensive when bought individually. I didn’t want to risk the chance there wouldn’t be enough boxes in the store , that would be my luck 🙁 also they jack up the prices to $90.00 in store . Plus this box in general has beautiful products throughout , high end quality products . So I put some other subs on hold to afford this except for ipsy and boxy oh and allure lol , but I wanted to give this a go since nothing excited me in beautyfix this month or test tube . So bring it Mintd I’m ready to be thrilled again 😁👍

FYI: The Sunday Riley takeover box has been confirmed to be Mintd’s May box, not April 🙂

I was wrong after all! Well, I was hopeful for a cult faves box with different brands, lol. 👌

I really want to add Mintd to my subs but my addiction to boxes is getting out of control!

Packaging to me looks like the Luna Oil. Good Genes I did not think came with the blue boarder. could be wrong.

Luna

Oh! I just checked, and the box for Good Genes does look like the box pictured. 🙂 So maybe I’ll finally be able to try the UK version after all!

Luna

Oooh, I think you’re right! I was actually wondering if they could even ship Good Genes from the UK to the US, because I thought they didn’t do that (at least through Cult Beauty anyways), but maybe it’s the other way around.

I just subscribed to their 3 month plan. Would that make me eligible to receive the April as well for the limited edition? Or is this different fr the subscription? Thank you in advance.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

That should make you eligible for the April box as I’m sure March will be your first box. Last year, they also called the Oskia takeover box a Limited Edition box, but they distributed it as part of their monthly subscription, not as a one-time purchase box (until it was included in their shop afterward).

Did you notice that Mintd is gifting you a full-size Omorovicza Essential Emulsion ($150 value) for signing up for a 3-month sub too??! 🙂

Hi Luna, thank you for your reply! Yes I am a fan of omorovicza, so when I saw the gift, it’s like ok here take my money!!! Hahaha 🙂 🙂 🙂
Excited to see the full spoiler!

When I look at their subscribe page I saw this:
“Subscribe To 3, 6 Or 12 Month Plan & Receive A Free Omorovicza Elemental Emulsion Worth £85”
Maybe they ran out of Omorovicza Oxygen Booster(?) 🙁

Well I would think if it is Good Genes, it is NOT going to be the Lactic acid most of you will be used to since that isn’t allowed in the UK. It would be the Glycolic acid treatment. I just checked Sephora’s site to see what version is still being sold and it’s still Lactic.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Why isn’t it allowed in the UK?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I think it has to do with the % of the lactic acid included. Hopefully someone will correct me though if that’s wrong. 🙂

LB

The lactic one breaks me out like crazy for some reason. I wonder if the other version would work better for me? Hmmm…

The UK Good Genes is a now a different formula with Glycolic acid VS the Lactic acid that is the formula still sold in the USA. I am using the UK version now, it feels a bit stronger but it is not causing irritation, even though I am using the A+ serum a couple night a week. I will definitely consider a SR takeover box, although I already have back ups of my favorite products!

The box in the background looks like good genes. If that’s indeed one of the products and someone knows for sure they will swap it, I would love to work out a swap! Click my name to access my swap profile. Thanks!

Christine

I agree that looks like the good dense bottle. I love that stuff!

Can’t wait to see what’s in this one!!! Sunday Riley is my absolute fave!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Just to clarify…. the products under “each box will include” is for the March box, and the box that’s being spoiled will be an all Sunday Riley box (although I think that part might be obvious 😉 ).

Also, this appears like it’ll be part of their monthly subscription (although I’m curious if it’ll be for April or May) since they did something similar to this (an Oskia takeover box) last year. If they’re distributing this takeover box like the last one, note that it says that it’s available to “active subscribers”, and last time they required subscribers to commit to a two-month subscription if they wanted the takeover box (the box prior to the takeover box, then the takeover box), and they disabled new subscriptions for the month of the takeover box. I’m guessing they did this to prevent people from subscribing solely to get the takeover box then cancel. The good news is that the Oskia takeover box was available in their store (although Mintd tends to markup the boxes in their shop ~30%), but the bad news is that hardly any discounts (if at all) applied to it.

I can’t wait to see what’s included! I’m hoping they include some of SR’s newest items (I wouldn’t mind another A+ serum!), and I’m really hoping they include the Auto Correct eye cream because that’s one SR product I don’t own yet.

I posted a comment thanking you and asking a question before but it hasn’t posted yet so I’m trying again. Do you know if they usually give full spoilers before any cutoff for subscribing to get the box?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I’m not 100% sure when their cutoff is, but someone recently said it was the 20th, and spoilers are usually released by the 1st, so typically you would be good. However, assuming this is in fact a takeover box, and they use the same subscription model as they did for the Oskia box last year, they closed down the ability to get a subscription for the month the Oskia box was released. Subscribers had to basically be committed to a 2-month term to get the box (the box prior to the Oskia box, then the Oskia box). I think that’s why they say the box will be available to “active subscribers” above. It’ll be really nice though if they let people sub just for the SR box… if it is one 😉 CC above put doubts in my head! Lol! 😀

CC

Oh! I got the Oskia box last year, and kept it all in the same box so I could use it together (still haven’t used it, eeek!)

I initially got the email and was hoping it would be cult favorites from different brands–that would be awesome! But for those that love Sunday Riley, I’m sure this will be a huge hit.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh dear… now you’re putting doubts in my head that it’s a SR takeover box 😀 I can see how it could interpreted like how you said. My gut is still saying a SR box though, I guess we’ll see! Regardless, I know I’ll be happy with it. 🙂

LB

Thanks for all the great info! I think you addressed almost all of my “hmmmm” thoughts and wonders. I’m going to wait and see spoilers since Sunday Riley products have been hit or miss for me so far (Luna oil and Good Genes make me break out for some reason) but I’m loooooving the A+ so far (my sample size from Allure is still going strong and I’ve already acquired 2 full sizes as back ups! Haha) and I use the line for acne-prone skin as well as the Ceramic Slip without issue. Based on your comments, I’m assuming they don’t usually sell out? Do you think they’ll have full spoilers before any subscription purchase cutoff?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I’m sure boxes sell out eventually, but I’ve never seen one sell out in a short period of time. 🙂
