ZaaBox January 2019 - Body Scrub FrontZaaBox January 2019 - Body Scrub Top

Mitra’s Cucumber Mint Body Scrub, 8oz – Retail Value $16.75

This cucumber mint body scrub’s main ingredients include unrefined shea butter, brown sugar, organic coconut oil, palm oil, and safflower seed oil. The scrubs consistency was spongy and slightly gritty on my skin. The scrub was moisturizing and sudsy as I scrubbed my skin. The aroma of the scrub reminded me of candy. This will last a while since I received an eight-ounce jar.

ZaaBox January 2019 - Indulgence Spa and Body Peppermint Shower Steamer

Indulgence Spa and Body Peppermint Shower Steamer, 2oz – Estimated Value $5.00

I have received these shower steamers before in subscription boxes and never seemed to get the experience its supposed to deliver. This steamer did yield some results. The steamer is placed at the bottom of the shower near the drain where the water can lightly hit it and release a peppermint aroma to awaken your senses. I did get a faint aroma that I was able to detect to awaken my senses. This yielded better results than previous tries. This product was not found on their Etsy page or website, so the value is an estimate based on their other products.

ZaaBox January 2019 - Aloe Soap Front

Zaa Box Eucalyptus Aloe Soap, 5oz – Estimated Value $10.00

This bar of soap is sudsy and has a pungent odor, others may have a different experience. I have been using this soap for the last two days and I love the results, it’s lathering, gets me squicky clean, the pungent odor from the soap has lessened and is not as noticeable. I’m assuming this soap is exclusive to Zaa Box and I didn’t find a shop on their website and no manufacturer information on the product.

ZaaBox January 2019 - Indulgence Spa and Body Aloe & Green Clover Whipped Shea Body Butter With Argan Oil

Indulgence Spa and Body Aloe & Green Clover Whipped Shea Body Butter With Argan Oil 4 oz – Estimated Value $9.00

This product has been a staple in WOC subscription boxes and I’m not complaining. This body butter is thick and fluffy in consistency and melted in my hands and skin. It’s lightly scented and moisturizing. There was a slightly greasy residue; I believe I applied too much of the product on my skin. Overall, I enjoyed the product and happy I received more. The link above is for their mini body butter which is sold out and I found no info on the 4-ounce size.

ZaaBox January 2019 - Phillip Ashley Chocolates FrontZaaBox January 2019 - Phillip Ashley Chocolates Insider

Phillip Ashley Chocolates – Estimated Value $10.00 (buy a 12-piece box for $49)

I received a small box with two circular dark chocolates in the flavor peppermint marshmallow. The center is a creamy minty flavor with the dark chocolate surrounding. The minty flavor overpowered the dark chocolate making it more enjoyable. The chocolate is handcrafted in small batches using the finest ingredients with fair trade chocolate. I didn’t find this particular set of chocolate on their website, so the value is an estimate.

The Verdict: Another enjoyable box and they continue to pamper me monthly as well as leaving me blushing from the handwritten note from Mr.Strong. This month’s $50.75 value is slightly lower than previous boxes. This month’s box included full-size items which are a welcome addition from the deluxe and sample sizes in previous boxes. This box heavily focused on body and bath items which came in a variety of products from a scrub to a bar of soap to body butter to a shower steamer all products working together to give me an at-home spa experience. I finally was able to reap the benefits of the shower steamer and I was pleased to see the aloe and green clover body butter included as well. The first box of the New Year wasn’t bad but I’m still seeking that elusive luxurious brand to “wow” me.
