When you sign up for a membership, you complete a style profile. On the 1st of every month, they release new styles, and you can pick any item you want – either from your personal “Showroom” or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.

This model is similar to how JustFabFabletics, and AdoreMe work. (Which makes sense, as JustFab, Fabletics, and Shoedazzle exist under the same umbrella company!)

Shoedazzle Spring Wrap Dress Review

Shoedazzle february leopard print dress on model

Leopard Print Wrap Dress, Size Medium – Member Price $39.95

I couldn’t find this look on the site anymore, and my invoice only lists the member price. But typically, Shoedazzle items retail at least $10 or more above the member price. I will say that I’m happy to have paid the member price for this dress, just because the quality falls a little short, even at a $40 price point. I’ll start by saying that I love the design. The warm, toasty color of the leopard print is a nice change from the more beige or tan-toned leopard patterns I see a lot more often. Rustier, more orange tones tend to be really flattering on me (especially compared to beige colors that tend to wash me out), so I was instantly drawn to this look. I’m also really into leopard print—it’s at once an eye-catching, bold, kind of retro pattern but still surprisingly neutral. I can dress it up or down very easily, too.

Shoedazzle february leopard print dress illfitting top

The bummer of this dress is the fit. It’s only a medium, but the top of the dress is so open that there’s no chance my size 36B chest could fill it out. I pulled the sides of the neckline into a decent position to keep these photos as G-rated as possible, but the second I moved a smidge, the whole thing would flop open. It basically fits me the way I’d expect a size XL wrap blouse to fit my size medium top half. It’s surprising, as other medium dresses and jumpsuits I’ve gotten from Shoedazzle fit me really well through the chest. Because the wrap aspect of the dress is sewn in place, I can’t just pull the sides tighter and secure it in place with the waist tie, either. I’ll have to do a little rudimentary sewing (or at least pinning) to make this otherwise cute look work. But! What doesn’t suit my body could be just what a larger-busted person is waiting for! If you’re someone who has a medium/medium-large bottom half but typically needs to size up for your top half, this piece might work beautifully for you!

Another quick downside—there are a lot of loose threads on the garment, especially on the sash. I love that there is a sash to define the waistline even more, plus the bow adds to the flirty feel of the look. But I don’t expect so many little imperfections on a $40 item.

Shoedazzle february leopard print dress ruffle hem

I do like the detail of the ruffle hem a lot. It gives this dress a playful springy feel that’s going to be particularly awesome once the weather gets warmer in my neck of the woods.

The Verdict: Shoedazzle is great from a style perspective—every month, they add so many trend-savvy looks to their catalog of shoes, dresses, accessories, separates, sets, and more. I’m always into their cool, current designs, but the quality could use a little bit of work. It definitely has a fast-fashion vibe to it. What I will say is that Shoedazzle often has incredible sales for its members, bringing the prices down to something that’s totally reasonable for what you get. If you end up signing up but are unsure of the value, keep an eye out for those extra discounts!
