Nadine West February 2019 - Box Top

Nadine West is a subscription styling service for women sizes small to 3X. Subscribers fill out a style quiz and are sent an outfit every month based on their style preferences. The best part is that there’s no styling fee—just a small shipping fee that is credited toward the cost of anything you keep.

About Nadine West

The Subscription Box: Nadine West

The Cost: $9.78 is charged to your account when your package ships (to cover shipping) and that amount is put towards the cost of the items you keep. If you return everything, however, that amount is not refunded.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A while back, several readers expressed concern over the shipping charge of $9.78. Please note that this is a fairly recent increase! However, existing subscribers keep their previous rate, which I think was $6.50.

The Products: Each pink package will include about 5-8 items which will be a mixture of clothing and accessories.

Ships to: US

Nadine West February 2019 Review

Nadine West February 2019 - Booklet Front

This is the invoice that arrived with my package this month. The box was comped, so the prices of the items have been struck through, but you can see what the cost to keep each item would have been.

Nadine West February 2019 - Long Gold Tassel Necklace FrontNadine West February 2019 - Long Gold Tassel Necklace Closer View

Long Gold Tassel Necklace – Cost to Keep $24.99

I absolutely love the style of this necklace! Metal tassels are so cool, and the stone is just gorgeous. I love some earth bling! The only thing I am debating about this necklace is that I feel like it draws attention to my chest (as seen in the pictures below), which I don’t really like. Maybe if I wear it with a modest neckline it would look okay?

Gwendolyn Necklace – Cost to Keep $24.99

I am a sucker for druzy, and this is a really big stone! I like it! I also like the length of this necklace. The stone hits in just the right spot.

Nadine West February 2019 - Silver Crown Studs FrontNadine West February 2019 - Silver Crown Studs Wearing Side

Silver Crown Studs – Cost to Keep $11.49

These little studs are very pretty, but they are not really my style. They have a pearly stone topped with some tiny crystals in the shape of a crown. They sure are sparkly, though!

Nadine West February 2019 - Wenonah Earrings FrontNadine West February 2019 - Wenonah Earrings Wearing Side

Wenonah Earrings – Cost to Keep $15.99

These earrings are really cool! They remind me of Indian jewelry, and they are very much my style. They are also really lightweight despite their size, so they are comfortable to wear.

Nadine West February 2019 - Wendi Scarf TopNadine West February 2019 - All Contents Side

Wendi Scarf – Cost to Keep $18.99

I am loving the new trend of textured scarves! This one appears to be a poly blend, but it has sort of a fur or hide look to it. It is super soft, and it’s a great length. I also really like the color!

Nadine West February 2019 - Sawara Pants Wearing Bottom Closer View

Anika Top – Cost to Keep $28.99

This is a standard weight cotton knit hoodie, but with beautiful embroidered patches sewn on it! How unique! It fits well and looks fine on me. It’s not especially thick, so I think I can wear it well into spring.

Sawara Pants – Cost to Keep $18.99

You can’t really tell in the pictures, but these pants are super sheer! They make me feel like Lizzo. But alas, I am not Lizzo, so I would probably never wear them anywhere in public. They are a highly pleated, stretchy synthetic blend. It’s too bad they are so sheer because otherwise they are very comfortable and a good length on me.

Nadine West February 2019 - Grazie Top Wearing FrontNadine West February 2019 - Grazie Top Wearing Closer View

Grazie Top – Cost to Keep $29.99

This tee is really cute, and I love the tabbed sleeves! I also like the open neckline a lot. It’s a cotton blend knit, so it is also soft and comfortable. Unfortunately, it is a little too small for me.

The Verdict: I love Nadine West! My favorites this month are the scarf and the silver earrings. I am also really happy they have started sending more pieces. More pieces mean more choices! I think if you want to treat yourself to a styling service on a budget, Nadine West is the way to go! Their pieces are not always the highest quality, but they are consistently the least expensive.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Every package is individually curated to match your unique style, so no, every package will be different.

Value Breakdown: The items are valued at $174.42. To just try them on, it costs only $9.78 (which goes towards the cost of whatever you keep), and you can return whatever you don’t want. The average cost per piece is $21.80.

  1. How does your shipment come? Mail, FedEx, UPS?

  2. They charge you 9.98 for shipping but if you buy something they apply it to the purchase.

  3. Total dissapointment

    • I’ve gotten some good stuff, I think it takes a few tries for their stylists to figure it out

  4. I tried Nadine West, but was SUPER disappointed in the quality. I didn’t even bother to try most of the things in my pink bag on. They felt cheap and like they wouldn’t survive the first wash. The jewelry felt like kids’ jewelry…so lightweight and just…disappointing.

    • I’ve found that problem on occasion but the vast majority of the boxes I’ve received had really good quality

  5. Is cancellation fairly easy? How do you go about it?

    • You have to email their customer support to skip, pause or cancel.

  6. I’ve thought about trying it, but I wish it had options for quarterly or as needed shipments, and a way to skip the jewelry.

  7. I love the striped top on you

    • I do too.

  8. I think this box is extra nice or special because it was being reviewed. I tried this one once and only got like 4 or 5 things in my package, and most were very cheaply made. One was just a tshirt with random criss cross things across the open chest, and some yoga pants when I asked for professional clothing. Mine definitely looked nothing like this.

Can’t beat the price, so probably worth trying, YMMV.

  9. I’d love to try this sub. I don’t want to get jewelry though. Can you request only clothes and no accessories? Great review!

    • I also would like no jewlery…is there a shipping cost for returning the items we do not want or does NW pay for the return? Thanks!

      • NW sends a prepaid return label with your items. When you fill out your style profile, you have to choose at least one type of jewelry item to receive. You can always send them back, though.

  10. ooo ! you look so pretty in this post ! great jewelry and outfits !
