Gaia Collective MoonBox “Inspire” Review February 2019
The first card MoonBox provides is a helpful survey that allows you to take a moment to write down your intentions this moon cycle, plan how to take action on said intentions and what to leave behind and learn from this phase.
The second insert describes the featured items included in the box, as well as instructions on how they should be used. It also gives a general overview of the major cosmic events happening this month. This month has a New Moon in Aquarius and a full moon in Leo on the 19th. This month’s Inspire theme is a reminder that inspiration is everywhere, so keeping your eyes open and focusing on breathing can enhance any potential muses. The unpredictability and freedom of the Aquarius’ air element causes excitement this month along with creative energies and a surge of inner vitality, thanks to the sun in Pisces sextiling Mars in Taurus.
Cosmic Collage Moon Calendar
Each box comes with a colorful woven mat that acts as a lunar and astrological calendar for the month. The focus of this February mat is Aquarius, an individualist, misunderstood and innovative sign symbolized by the water-bearer. This vivid mat would look great used as a decorative calendar or as a respite for your new crystals.
May You Know Joy Seed of Intention Cards – Retail Value $15
In this adorable set, each card has an intention written on it, and there are 42 cards in the deck. The back of each card has a green background with white polka-dots. This set is adorable and could make a really great tradition to your mornings. It is easy to mindlessly run around during the day, looking at your phone screen and just waiting to pass the time until something you’re looking forward to happens, but putting time aside each morning to work toward an intention on one of these cards might make one’s day a little more mindful and meaningful.
I am 100% on the reusable straw bandwagon, and XStraws metal straws may be my absolute favorite find, especially this rainbow set! Moonbox included 4 straws, 2 curved at the top and 2 straight ones, along with a straw cleaner and a handy pouch to store them in. I know a lot of people trying to cut down on waste, and this would be the perfect gift for them.
Fruits to the Roots Vitality Soak – Retail Value $8
This small tub of Vitality soak is a gorgeous blend of rose bath salts with red petals accompanied with a vial of essential oil. This container is good for one luxurious bath, and you can use the oil in your bath or save it for your skin after. Unwinding in a bathtub with new products is my idea of a wildly good Wednesday night, and this soak made this girl feel like a true Pisces ascendant!
Kailo Organic Chakra Therapy – Retail Value $33
I received the Crown Chakra Essence (other boxes may receive varied oils), which is perfect for me this month. Too much overthinking can create spiritual burnout, and this essence may help to unblock or balance said chakra. This oil is mostly made up of jojoba oil and smells heavily of lavender oil. It has a light, non-greasy consistency, and the fragrance stuck with me for a few hours.
And now, the February crystal picks!
Picture Jasper for grounded support and structure, place on Root Chakra
Picture Jasper is known for its essential relationship to Earth. Consider this stone a “mother stone” since it is known for its nurturing and healing properties.
Honey Calcite for sweet surrender into graceful power, place on solar plexus
Honey Calcite is a stone that could help to encourage self-worth and confidence. Its energies can help to enhance accountability, responsibility and also leadership qualities.
Red Aventurine for creative expansion, connection, and loving energy, place on Sacral of Heart Chakra
This cute little stone packs a punch as far as energy flow goes, and (attention all Aquarians!) it is also rumored to stimulate and strengthen individuality. A perfectly fitting stone for this month!
Pyrite Cluster – For spiritual awakening, abundance, good luck, strokes of genius and inspiration; place on an altar or Sacred Space that inspires you in some way, place on Crown Chakra
This is a do-it-all stone; everything from building mental capabilities to fighting anxiety to prosperity, this rock is pretty and useful!
The Verdict: Gaia MoonBox’s February theme of Inspiration is my favorite yet! The straws, the cards, the soak… I love every item this month; even the mat was my favorite design so far! I always enjoy opening up a new Moonbox to see each month’s theme and to read the info provided by Gaia, which is always a fascinating read.
