February 2019 Loot Remix Review

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Introductory Card 1

Loot Remix included an introductory card in my box this month.

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope 1 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope 2

The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope – Retail Value $3.99 (found here for $1.99)

Confession: I have never watched The Walking Dead. Not for lack of interest, well maybe a little, but more because I enjoy binging different types of shows. When I saw this in my box, I was engrossed and curious.

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope 3 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope 4 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – The Walking Dead Soap-On-A-Rope 5

The details on the ears are icky, the soap feels icky and slimy and has no scent. I don’t know what I will do with this soap-on-a-rope but it was definitely an interesting item. Eric also received this item exactly 3 years ago in the February 2016 Loot Crate.

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Gears Of War Plush Grenade 1 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Gears Of War Plush Grenade 2 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Gears Of War Plush Grenade 3 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Gears Of War Plush Grenade 4

Gears of War Plush Grenade – Retail Value $9.99 (found here for $4.99)

My guys are more PlayStation types, so I have never heard of this game. A quick search indicates it has to do with shooting and stuff, so one (me) would assume grenades are a weapon of choice. This plush is round and a little firm and the kids enjoy tossing it around.

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Battleborn Al Minion Pin 1 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Battleborn Al Minion Pin 2 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Battleborn Al Minion Pin 3 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Battleborn Al Minion Pin 4

Battleborn Al Minion Pin – Retail Value $2.99 (found here for $1.99)

This month’s box included a pin subscribers received in May 2016 (see Eric’s review here!) I like Loot Crate’s pins and designs, they are always right on.

Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 1 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 2 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 3 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 4 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 5 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 6 Loot Remix Review February 2019 – Anti-Magic Academy Scarf 7

Anti-Magic Academy Scarf – Retail Value $5.99 (found here for $2.99)

The last item I received in this month’s Loot Remix is this scarf. It is after an anime book series, which I have never heard of. The scarf is cute but is super thin. I am not sure if I will wear it due to the colors, but it seems like a cool item to have especially if you’re a fan Anti-Magic Academy.

Verdict: This month’s Loot Remix was a total miss for me. I have never seen, played or read The Walking Dead, Gears of War, Battleborn or The Anti-Magic Academy, but that is what is exciting about this box: you do not know what you will receive. You only know the items you do receive are items from past Loot Boxes of all kinds. One thing I found interesting was the discovery of the Loot Vault, where I was able to locate all the items in this month’s box. While the $22.96 total value exceeded the $14.99 cost of the box, including free shipping, the items are on sale in the Loot Vault and came in a little under the value of the box ($11.96). This box has a promised value of $30 and this month’s box definitely came in under that. I think that we should be receiving a few more items than just 3-5 to meet that value.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will get a box with a different mix of items.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $14.99 + free shipping, which means that each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $3.75.

I am a mother of 2 going on 3 soon and enjoy the little things in life, especially in surprise form! Monthly subscription boxes give me that surprise every time I see the mailman delivering them! My favorite boxes include beauty boxes, lifestyle boxes and anything pregnancy-related boxes; my all time favorite is my FabFitFun subscription.

  1. Yay 15.00 a month for old leftovers!

  2. loot remix isn’t available for Canadians

  3. I bought the deadpool subscription back in November and still haven’t received anything.

  4. Lootcrate is still delivering a subpar experience no matter what the crate, I see xD

I guess it’s a gamble either way, as it’s surplus stock, but 3 year old ear-shaped soap is pushing it for me. I got it 3 years ago and even as a fan of TWD it was ehh.

  5. Seems pointless reviewing a box that’s supposed to be random each time.
