Gwynnie Bee Retro-Inspired Plus Clothing Review + Free Month Deal
Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that caters to women between the sizes of 0-32. Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. I started using the service a last year and can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!
Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental service, but they also have a marketplace on their site where you can buy strongly discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and work out gear as well! Did you know you it’s totally FREE to try Gwynnie Bee? Try it here, and don’t forget to check out all of the other subscription boxes you can try for free!

This review is of the one item at a time for three items that I received between January 13th through the 28th.
Glen Plaid Twofer Dress, Size 2x—Retail Value $63
Welcome to the working week in this snazzy plaid dress. You may be fooled, but this is not a separate blouse layered under a plaid dress—this is a twofer! The blouse part is sewn into the dress itself. I love that aspect of the piece because sometimes layering a top under a dress can create unwanted bulk and make the ensemble look awkward. The laid material is a soft, knit, cotton fabric with ample stretch. This dress is incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. I wore it to work and got tons of compliments. I paired this look with basic black flats and classic cat eyes.
Retro Floral Faux Wrap Dress by Eloquii, Size 20—Retail Value $59
Eloquii is one of my favorite plus size clothing companies because of their pieces generally well-made and have retro-inspired designs with modern cuts and fit! This dress was a must due to the 60s/70s flower power inspired pattern, duh! The material is an ultra-stretchy, slinky fabric that hugs the body well. I styled the dress with and without a belt as well as off white cowboy boots. I also opted to show it layered with a gorgeous faux fur coat that will be featured in my upcoming Shoedazzle review. I wore this exact outfit on a dinner date with my boyfriend while he visited recently! This dress can be worn easily into the spring, just opt for a baby pink or mustard open-toed platform to bring out the colors in the gorgeous print! Add some round, oversized, beige sunglasses to block out the sun (oh, how I miss the sunshine!) and you are set for a modern take on a killer vintage look!
Paisley Knit Shift Dress by Tiana B, Size 2x
I am a sucker for paisley print dresses and mock turtleneck, so it was inevitable I would closet this piece. This is not the first time I have reviewed a Tiana B dress; I actually received and bought one in my July 2018 Gwynnie Bee box! Googling Tiana B brand dresses, their line is devoted to retro paisley designs! I loved this particular dress due to it being black and having these pops of pastel pinks, fuschias, and teals. I styled the dress with off white vintage boots. This can easily be paired with black tights, black pointed toe booties, and a black faux fur coat for a touch of glamour to an otherwise casual piece. This can easily be worn at the office or on a date with your love.
The Verdict: I love Gwynnie Bee! What I appreciate most about Gwynnie Bee is that they are a rental service, but if you can’t bring yourself to part with a piece – it is up for purchasing! Also, they have an Outlet site that has various pieces at deep discounts! I have found a few killer deals that way as well. I love that I can try out different brands and trends through Gwynnie Bee that I may have objected to otherwise! Plus, I can actually wear the pieces rather than simply try them on! The service is also fantastic if you are in between sizes, have a special event to go to, or need work clothes – you can rent pieces and send them back and get more! Plus, did you know that Gwynnie Bee dry cleans all the clothes you send back – no laundry for you, my friend! All of these things are on my list for why I can’t get enough of Gwynnie Bee!

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three item at a time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month, but I could get several pieces sent to me in a month’s time if I return each piece after wearing promptly. Two of the items totaled to $122. The third piece I don’t have the total on, but for the two items alone that is $27 more than my monthly subscription! That is a great value for the two pieces alone. Imagine the value if I had returned these pieces and received even more!
