Bub Club Sub Lil Bubs Lil Box Yummy Edition Review

Bub Club Sub Lil Bubs Lil Box Yummy Edition February 2019 - Information Card Front Top

The info page has A LOT of information on it! It gives an overview of the subscription and has all of the levels and how much each donates on the right side. The items in the Bub Club Sub are always exclusive but will be offered at the online store if there are leftovers. Once they're gone, they're gone though. You'll find a rundown of all of the products featured across all of the box levels at the right. Everything in the Yummy box was designed by artist Lillian Duermeier.

The other side gives thanks to everyone who helped make the box possible, plus they talk about who made each item, and how you can upgrade to a larger box.

YUMMY BUB Burger 8 x8 Photo Print - Retail Value $5.00 (found here for $3.00)

In the Lil Box, you'll always receive an 8x8" print with each delivery. This is a really nice one printed on actual photo-quality paper featuring Bub as the meat in a tasty burger on a picnic! How cute! I have hung this one up in my office on my corkboard next to the last one I received so I can draw inspiration from her each work day!

Die Cut Bub Food Stickers - Retail Value $6.00 (found here for $3.60)

The next item is a 2-sticker pack with Bub in an ice cream sundae and as a character popsicle! Each one is five inches tall and printed on vinyl which they say can be stuck and re-stuck several times. I'll probably stick one of these on my travel coffee mug to let everyone know how much I lub Bub.

Dude Postcard - Retail Value $2.00 (found here for $1.20)

Next, we have a large 5 x 7 postcard illustrated by Lillian Duermeier (like all of the items) in a traditional tattoo style. Lil Bub is surrounded by flowers and has a banner under her reading "DUDE." which is what she calls her caretaker, Mike Bridavsky. There's plenty of space to write a lengthy correspondence and address to another Bub-lubber.

BUB Pear Magnet - Retail Value $4.00 (found here for $2.40)

The final item in the Lil Box is this well-made magnet! It's 2 inches squared and has our girl in a pear hat looking cute as ever. Her little ears pop through and you can see her tongue hanging out, as it does 24/7. Super cute and sturdy!

Verdict: For $23.00 (with free shipping), I received four exclusive BUB STUFF items that have a retail value of only $17.00 but are still available to purchase at their online store for a total of $10.20. That clearly doesn't make this box worth it, which is a bummer. They do donate to special needs pets through Halo Purely, but only $1.50 and 5 bowls of food for this size box. I think to get more bang for your Bub-lubbing buck, it might make more sense to splurge on the larger boxes to get more expensive items, but this little one doesn't seem like a good value with all of the items available to purchase on sale right now.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? It's not super clear, but it sounds like they have some leftover, so you might get this one shipped next month.

If you sign up now, your first box will ship on the 4th of next month, and every three months after. Your next renewal will be automatically charged on the 11th of the month before your next shipment.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $23.00 + free shipping, which means that each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $5.75.

$23 and only $1.50 is donated for paper products?! Nope.

Wowwwww. I can’t believe they charge $23 for that! It’s nice that part of the proceeds go to charity, but not enough. They should charge a much much lower price for the box, and have different options for how much you’d like to donate… otherwise, this seems like they’re making quite a profit for themselves.
