Does anyone know if I sign up now for March will I be able to get the curated box?!

I was able to get the curated! I signed up yesterday

Quick three questions if anyone can help!

1. If I signed up today (2/26), do I receive the March box or February?

2. Will I be billed for both February AND March since I started late in the month?

3. Has anyone experienced that choosing a sample instead of curated gives you a worse quality bag? I’ve heard mixed reviews that Birchbox doesn’t customize to your beauty profile, especially if you’re new.

Thank you!

That’s when I signed up and I chatted with them about it. I was told my first box is March and I won’t be billed again until April 1st.

I signed up 2/26 & chose my sample this morning, so you should be able to as well. Good luck!

Hey guys! Birchbox posted a reply saying first box will be March! Starting from April, you will be billed 1 first of the month. This months box will be normal (sample or curated your choice)! Thanks for your replies 🙂

I did sign up on the 26th, I popped on to ask exact questions..following.

I really don’t know anything for sure, but it seems like, based on looking at the swap site, perhaps there were variations in the eyeshadow that Allure subscribers got?!? SOme called it “posh,” I think.

So I confirmed with a Birchbox rep that the trio is indeed named “Positano” and it is an item in their shop (product 36924) but it is the EXACT same shades as the one they gave to Allure to distribute as “Mykonos”.

Anyone know the size of the sleepspray? Their Nighttime Kit had a 5ML that i really enjoy.

does anyone know which sample will be replaced in the curated box if one were to pick out their own sample? I wouldnt mind picking the Amika sample if it were to replace the eyeshadow, for example. I hope my question makes sense! 🙂

If you pick a sample, the rest of the items will be supposedly chosen based on your profile and will not necessarily match any of the items in the curated box. If you choose the curated box, you get it exactly as shown.

You don’t get to choose a sample if you pick the curated box.

Is is sad that I don’t like the curated box or the sample choices? I think I should go with all surprises this month.

I’m coming off a prepaid year long sub to Birchbox and decided not to renew again but will do one more month just for this curated box.

Anyone know the sizes? Looks like Oribe is 0.8oz and Kiehl’s is 40ml.

I’m willing to bet that Birchbox curated an extra-attractive box for March (Oribe, Kiehl’s, Benefit, and a brush as a sixth item, which is unusual) because they knew that the Allure box beat them to it with the identical Model Co. eyeshadow palette. If they hadn’t put in that many attractive brands and the extra brush, there would be relatively few takers for the curated box. Among people who sub to both boxes, this changes the perspective from “Nah, already have it” to “I’ll just give the extra eyeshadow palette away”.

Dawn

My thought exactly. I have 4 mykonos palettes and will use none. I want the kiehl’s. I wish I could forego the eyeshadow for ANYTHING else.

The shades look different in the eyeshadow, with Allure being much lighter (looking like all blush shades but for the eyes). I have both subs and comparing the 2 boxes, I really like BB’s better! Love the oribe, kiehl, luxie, clarins 🙂

I got the Mykonos from Allure (the metallic one in this photo for Birchbox).

Rochelle

Poppy, did you get a lighter trio in your Allure box? Like the photo shown on the Allure pages on MSA? The one in my Allure box actually looks like the one posted here for Birchbox rather than the one posted for the Allure box so I’m just curious if there were 2 different palettes.

Amanda

I thought the Allure one was different – this one looks to have darker/metallic shades and the Allure one looks like a brighter pink range.

This one is “Positano.” The Allure one is “Mykonos.”

Jackie

I’m pretty sure they’re the same. The photo of the modelco on MSA spoilers wasn’t accurate. Google Mykonos Modelco and you’ll see the correct color of the allure palette.
