The Bakery Box December 2018 Review

The Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Snickerdoodle Body Butter FrontThe Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Snickerdoodle Body Butter Uncapped Top

Snickerdoodle Body Butter, 4 oz - Estimated Value $20 $11 (based on other body butters found here)

This rich body butter is a blend of unrefined shea butter, glycerin, Vitamin E, and silk protein. This is a great formula for the colder months when my skin is especially dry, and as a lover of snickerdoodle cookies, I enjoy this sweet cinnamon fragrance.

The Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Snickerdoodle Hair & Body Oil Front

Snickerdoodle Hair & Body Oil, 4 oz - Estimated Value $10 (based on a 2 oz body oil found here)

This is a blend of almond oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil and can be used on both your body as a moisturizer or on your hair to add softness and shine. My hair loves anything with coconut oil in it so that is primarily how I will be using this cinnamon cookie-scented oil.

The Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Snickerdoodle Bath Whip FrontThe Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Snickerdoodle Bath Whip Uncapped Top

Snickerdoodle Bath Whip, 4 oz - Estimated Value $10 $6 (based on a 2 oz bath whip found here)

I love whipped soaps! This is like a cross between soap and body wash, but it is creamy and moisturizing while still effectively cleansing your skin. I am loving the sprinkle of cinnamon that is on top of this snickerdoodle-scented soap!

The Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Gingerbread Men in Snow Sweet Minis Wax Melts Group Shot FrontThe Bakery Box by Shea Shea Bakery Review December 2018 - Gingerbread Men in Snow Sweet Minis Wax Melts Top

Gingerbread Men in Snow Sweet Minis Wax Melts - Buy a set of 5 1 oz melts for $5 here

These cute little baby wax melts smell like festive gingerbread! I don’t burn my wax burner as often as I would like, but this does fill the empty void of gingerbread scents my collection previously lacked.

The Verdict: This was a fun box from The Bakery Box! I enjoyed the yummy snickerdoodle scent that was throughout the box, and I thought the sizes were generous. This is a great example of what comes in a typical Bakery Box, so if this is up your alley I think you will enjoy this subscription.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I know that this hasn’t been reviewed for a long time, but… Every so often, they have that mystery box for $10. It’s well worth the cost. It was available last night, and sold out in 8 minutes! If you’re interested, I’d get on their mailing list.
Shipping was $3.95.

I really want to try this box, but I’m on the fence because of the scents. Has anyone with sensitive skin ever tried their products out? I’m afraid it may flare up my eczema, especially now in the winter and its so dry out.

I received this box and the products caused me to break out in a rash and aggravated my eczema to the point that I still haven’t been able to calm down the flair up weeks later. The scent was okay, but I’d be cautious if you have sensitive skin.

I have VERY sensitive skin (and chronic Lyme disease which complicates things even further). I haven’t had a problem with their body butter, body creams, body lotions, body sprays, sugar scrubs and bath whips. But I have been too afraid to try their body/hair oils and new skin + hair care lines. My scalp and face are tricky. But what I have tried the last few years, I’ve absolutely loved. And it’s so hydrating in the winter months!

Quick price check (since I looked this up last night while listing swaps)… The value on the body butter is more with the cookie topper. Shea Shea Bakery has a Facebook post on December 15th that says the December Snickerdoodle body butter is the 4 oz size. You’ve listed it as 2 oz here. If you look up the 4 oz Gingersnap Body Butter on their website for price comparison, it’s $10.00 with a plain black plastic lid or $20.00 with the cookie topper. Hope that helps!

Hey Robyn!
You’re right, I made a mistake. Values have been updated!

Glad I could help! I just didn’t want to overprice swaps based on the review. Thank you for the updates!

Oh and they say the December Snickerdoodle bath whip is 4 oz as well (on the 12/15 Facebook post), so that would give the bath whip a $10.00 value instead of $6.00.

I thought this was one of their better boxes, too, Jessica!

I went to a new spa for a massage last week and took my massage oil. It is so much better than the generic stuff they use. 🙂

Shipping is $6.95 not $5

Maybe she didn’t update the postage.
It was $5 last year.
And I know the postage will be increased on 1/27.

PudgeKat

I just ordered today for $6.95 shipping, hopefully it won’t go up more than that 🙂

I wish there was a way to get past boxes. Looks like the Jan flavor will be released on 1/15. Gonna wait and see if it’s a smell I’ll want.
