Penny + Grace is a monthly jewelry subscription box specifically designed for people who love a minimalist, delicate aesthetic. Pick your preferred color of metal (gold, silver, rose gold, or "surprise me"), earrings or no earrings, and ring size (6, 7, or 8) and you'll receive a monthly set of jewelry to satisfy your tastes.

This is a review of the "Surprise Me" with Earrings and size 6 ring, $19.99 a month, subscription.

package contents

According to the Penny + Grace site, "each delivery is guaranteed to contain a combined retail value of $55+ (USD) in varying jewelry pieces tailored to your color/metal choice." All jewelry is 100% lead and nickel free.

bags

Each piece comes packed inside its own little drawstring pouch. They're perfect for travel to keep items from getting tangled and also work as little gift bags. Then, everything is packed into this black canvas zipper pouch which is another great travel tool. These also work for organizing all the little bits in my purse like pens, lip glosses, and bobby pins.

Penny + Grace December 2018 Jewelry Review

This month, I received a matching necklace, bracelet, and earring set in rose gold:

Here's the info card for the pack. It tells you what is included and the retail value (USD) of each piece.

Petite Trio Necklace - Listed Value $28

I love this month's set! The thin, delicate chain is accented by a trio of crystals in the center. A baguette shaped stone is stacked with a bezel set crystal on top and a prong set crystal at the bottom. The cluster is only about 3/8" in height, so it's super dainty. The rose gold chain can be worn at lengths of 16", 17.5", and 19" depending on the ring you hook the lobster claw clasp to.  Penny + Grace also includes the lovely little detail of a branded hang tag at the clasp.

Petite Trio Earrings - Listed Value $26

The matching earrings are a set of studs that are exactly the same as the trio on the necklace, but even tinier! They're only about a 1/4". Something about the amount of detail, even at this small size, makes these feel high end. I think they look pretty as my main earrings but are also small enough to wear in my other lobe piercings as accents.

Petite Trio Bracelet - Listed Value $26

To round out this set, I also got a matching bracelet. The trio cluster is set up the same as the necklace and earrings but is turned to the side. This can be worn at a 6", 7",  or 8" length. Here I have it set to the middle length, and I have pretty small wrists. I think the length might be too short for many people considering it was tricky to hook it like this. I do love the look of it though.

The Verdict: This month's Penny + Grace set is perfect for me. I received a yellow gold set last month, so I'm glad to see rose gold this month since I picked "Surprise Me" for the metal tone. I love baguette cut stones, especially when they are accented by contrasting shapes. These pieces look high-end and could be worn with basically any outfit. I could even travel with just this one set of jewelry and feel like I'm put together with little effort.
