Lavish Bath January 2019 - Bath Candy Shop Snow Day Bath Bomb Top 1 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Bath Candy Shop Snow Day Bath Bomb Top 2 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Bath Candy Shop Snow Day Bath Bomb Top 3 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Bath Candy Shop Snow Day Bath Bomb Top 4

Bath Candy Shop Snow Day Bath Bomb – Estimated Value $8

This moisturizing bath bomb is scented with grapefruit, neroli, and rose, and it was a very balanced mix of floral and citrus. My bath bomb actually crumbled when I took it out of the protective film, but it resulted in some incredibly foamy blue and white bath art that I adored.

Lavish Bath January 2019 - Nectar Fresh Body Baby, It’s Cold Outside Scrub Front Lavish Bath January 2019 - Nectar Fresh Body Baby, It’s Cold Outside Scrub Opened Top

Nectar Fresh Body Baby, It’s Cold Outside Scrub – Retail Value $14

I have tried many a body scrub, and this is one of my favorites. Not only does it exfoliate without being abrasive, but it also foams up as you use it! The scent is a blend of “cold air, ozone, and fresh mint,” and I love the light, minty scent. This comes with an adorable baby snowflake soap on top of the scrub, and even the soap was a delight- it was the perfect size to hold in my hand without dropping it. Plus, look at that gorgeous light blue sparkle!

Lavish Bath January 2019 - Marvelous Soap Winter Candy Bubble Bar Top 1 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Marvelous Soap Winter Candy Bubble Bar Top 2 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Marvelous Soap Winter Candy Bubble Bar Top 3

Marvelous Soap Winter Candy Bubble Bar – Estimated Value $7.25

This bubble bar is absolutely fantastic- it crumbled easily, turned my bath a light blue, and created a fluffy mound of bubbles with less than half of one bubble bar! The scent is a blend of crispy candied apple, and I am excited to be able to have more bubble baths with this.

Lavish Bath January 2019 - Rinse Bath & Body Co Euca Mint Body Bliss Oil Front

Rinse Bath & Body Co Euca Mint Body Bliss Oil, 4 oz – Retail Value $11

Eucalyptus mint is one of my all-time favorite scents, so this body oil is my jam. It is made with the incredibly hydrating Squalane, along with grapeseed and apricot kernel oils. This didn’t leave me greasy, but it did leave my skin hydrated and soft. I do wish that the mist on the spray was finer, but the fresh scent of eucalyptus and mint was delightful.

Lavish Bath January 2019 - Baitx Made Cozy Winter Night Soy Candle Top Lavish Bath January 2019 - Baitx Made Cozy Winter Night Soy Candle Opened Top

Baitx Made Cozy Winter Night Soy Candle, 4 oz – Retail Value $8

I always get excited when my bath boxes include candles- they really help to set a relaxing mood! This candle has a scent blend of pine needles, cinnamon, and smoky orange, and though I don’t have a fireplace in my apartment it makes me want to curl up next to a warm fire with fluffy socks and a good book. The candle is made from American-grown soybeans and the wick is cotton-based and free of lead and zinc.

Lavish Bath January 2019 - Natural Snowflake Shower Steamers Top 1 Lavish Bath January 2019 - Natural Snowflake Shower Steamers Top 2

Pop! Natural Snowflake Shower Steamers x 2

I love shower steamers- they are such an underutilized treat that can make showers feel a lot more luxurious. This is made with a blend of menthol and eucalyptus, so this is great for clearing out stuffy noses and helping you breathe easier while your entire shower smells like you’re at a spa. Since I don’t take very long showers, I was actually able to stretch my first shower steamer through two showers!

The Verdict: Lavish Bath Box continues to be one of the best-curated bath subscription boxes out there, and I cannot recommend it enough if you love bath products! I felt like every item included encompassed the winter wonderland theme perfectly, and I enjoyed the peppermint and eucalyptus scents that were present throughout the box. While the retail value is never crazy (this month I calculated an estimated value of $48.25 for everything except the shower steamers), the exclusive products and stellar curation always add extra value that makes this box a real treat to open and enjoy. Another aspect I really enjoy is being exposed to the different indie bath companies- now instead of stocking up for the year during the annual BOGO sale at Lush, I get fun, fresh bath products every month.

The Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? You will receive the February box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $38.95 + $6.99 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $7.66.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t go on pizza and when I’m not studying for law school I’m relaxing at home with my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like!

  1. The customer service for this box is hands down amazing. Katie the owner bends over backwards for her customers this is my favorite bath box and monthly box in general as well. 🙂 The effort and kindness of the staff and this box is like nothing I’ve ever encountered before and I work in guest service and have for over 15 years. Get ready his box you won’t be disappointed. 🙂

  2. Great review! Box looks awesome, I just purchased it as a one-off from their shop.

  3. I took a long break from this sub but resubbed as soon as I saw the theme for the Jan box. My favorite item is the scrub. It smells exactly like cold winter air…so refreshing.
This box is actually for sale as an individual box on their website.

  4. I love seeing reviews on this box everything month! It is creative and curated well and definitely worth the price. Not in my budget at the momet (I don’t even have boxes to cancel that are this much total), but it would definitely the first on my list!

  5. I personally think this is the best bath box out there. I’ve been on a super hard crusade to 1) Declutter all my skincare, cosmetics and boxes from bath subscriptions, and as a result-
    2) I have whittled my ‘ must have” list down to this bath box, Pearlesque skin care, Ispy Plus for makeup in full sizes, and PSMH because I’ve never missed a box.

So, Lavish is now very special to me. 🙂 My criteria was really focused. I want a clothing sub but just can’t commit to mystery clothes. LOL.

    • That sounds like a great list, Lily!

  6. Lovely review, Jessica!! So glad you enjoyed this box! January’s box is still available for purchase through our one-time shop.

  7. This was my first Lavish Bath Box! I loved it! I’m so happy that you review this box. I’ve had my eye on it for a while 😍
