EBY Underwear Subscription January 2019 Review

I signed up for EBY recently, and when I did, I received a free pair with my first order. If you want to see how easy it is to sign up, check out my review from last month! My preferences for this subscription are "briefs and cheekies" (not thongs for me, thanks) and "mixed" (meaning solids as well as prints) in size large.

Their packaging has changed since last year and comes more simply in a flat cardboard envelope instead of a box.

The included card this month has the story of Emiledis, one of the Colombian women who received a loan (of just $72) to help her start her own business and become more financially independent.

The flipside tells us a little more about the native Colombian EBY founder, Renata. You can watch the mini-doc she filmed here.

My new pair of undies came folded and in a small plastic package.

EBY Nude Cheeky Undies, size large

These undies are a few shades darker than the previous "nude" color I received. They will clearly be a nude on someone with a darker complexion than mine but are still a good neutral for me.

The back has good coverage with still leaving a little bit of my cheeks to hang out for what I think is a cute look.

Like the other pairs, I'm happy that there is no tag to cause irritation and the inside of the edges are all trimmed in a super soft material that is really comfortable against my skin and makes it so they don't do any slipping. The fabric is 85% Polyamide and 15% Elastane which is 100% ridiculously soft and silky.

The gusset on the inside is 100% cotton which makes me feel a bit better since that's what is against my most sensitive parts!

Verdict: I find EBY underwear really comfortable and well-fitting while leaving no lines to be seen through tight pants or skirts. Knowing that my purchase also helps women get loads to start up their own business is an added bonus!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You may not get the same pairs I got based on preferences, but your first box with the free pair will ship as soon as you sign up.

Value Breakdown: At $16.00 for this box, you're paying $16.00 per pair but will also be helping disadvantaged women get loans and build a business.

I subscribed and received one pair I paid for and the BOGO offer pair.

I think my bikini comfort days are over, and wrote to ask about a slightly higher cut style.

No less than 4 different people saying they were CS emailed me and none of their emails made sense. One would say, sure we have a new cut and you can try them and see if they work for you.

Another said, Do you want to continue your subscription or pause it?

Total lack of cohesiveness and even handedness.

I ended up putting a debit card with NO money on it EVER as the payment method because I’ve sent 4 requests to cancel and got an auto-response and nothing else.

I would not suggest this and I will not be doing any buying from them in the future.

Everyone should be cautious about both the BOGO and cancelling. I had to email multiple times to get my free pair. In addition, it took multiple contacts to cancel, during which time I was continuing to be charged.

It seems to be a small company which may be having difficulty with its procedures

Whilst I’m all about helping women I don’t see transparency in this brand. I can deal with the same pair of underwear each month if it’s helping impoverish women but no where on their website do I see what portion goes to these women and what the company is doing with their profits. At $16 a pair they are making a huge profit considering their factory is in Sri Lanka and I can guarantee these to cost cents to make including labor costs.

For this reason I’m out. No transparency = a for profit to me.

Hi Stephanie/Yurena!

Just checked the EBY website (under their “About Us” section) and it says “Ten percent of net sales from EBY go to Seven Bar Foundation to empower women through microfinance: small loans to start their own businesses.”. I’ll be sure to add that to the review. Thanks for bringing this up!
Sadly, it doesn’t look like the foundation’s website is working though. I’ll try to reach out to EBY to see what’s up.

Your message is spot on Stephanie. I would not even feel good about myself subscribing to this box. The lack of transparency bothers me .
