Tasu November 2018 "Self Care Comes First" Review
Tasu includes a card describing the monthly theme. On the reverse is a list of what's included with retail values. This month's theme is "Self Care Comes First". I think this message could not have been delivered at a better time! We all get so incredibly busy during the holidays and it is very easy to forget that sometimes we need to take a little time to ourselves. I truly believe that we cannot take care of others to the best of our ability if we are not taking care of ourselves too!

Geranium Neroli Hand Cream, 2 fl oz.— Retail Value $10.51 USD ($14 CAD)
I have always loved the smell of neroli. I find it more complex than some other florals and while it is sweet, it is also a little bitter and green. I don'tsmell too much geranium in this formula, but that's fine by me as while I do also love that oil, neroli outshines it in my book by a wide margin. The formula of this cream is light but very moisturizing. It didn't absorb super fast, but when it did there was very minimal reside. My skin immediately felt hydrated and smooth.

It's like someone mentioned to Tasu that I love RX Bars and also told them my favorite flavor! This bar is a perfect mix of salty and sweet, which is my favorite snack. Made of minimal ingredients and high in protein it is an idea on the go snacking indulgence.
Sandalwood Orange Candle, 4 oz— Retail Value $10.51 ($14.00 CAD), Listed Value $13.50 ($18.00 CAD)
This petite candle smells of oranges, woods, and spices. I think the amber glass jar is very pretty and I appreciate that the candle is made from 100% soy wax, which burns very cleanly and evenly.
Essential Oil Roll On - Listed Value $9.00 ($12.00 CAD)
This roll-on is a blend of Lavender and Frankincense that smells beautiful and stimulating. I love deeper and darker scents and this one reminds me of a perfume I would normally wear because while it is a little floral, it is mainly a moody wood scent with hints of greens and eucalyptus. I plan on tossing this in my purse to have on hand when I need a little fragrance refresh on the go. It will also be a great scent to take to yoga and utilize during the group meditation.
Lapis Lazuli Bracelet Set — Listed Value $18.00 ($24.00 CAD)
These bracelets are so dainty! I love that they can easily be layered and stacked with some of my other favorites. The deep blue is beautiful on its own and I think the choice to include a companion bracelet with the golden beads was smart as it sets off the tiny golden flakes in the lapis lazuli beads. Lapis is a stone known for wisdom and enlightenment. I can usually use all the help I can get regarding those qualities!
Lavender Bath Bomb – Listed Value $2.25 ($3.00 CAD)
This little mini bath bomb is the perfect size for when I want to take a fancy bath but I don't really have the time to loiter in comfort for too long. It is a lavender scent but I find it very mild. It turned my water a pretty pale purple and left my skin feeling fresh and moisturized. It would have been nice if the scent had been stronger in my opinion, especially since all the others in this box were bold and incredibly stimulating.
The Verdict: The smells in this month's Tasu box were outstanding. I especially loved the neroli heavy hand cream! I am estimating the total retail value of this box to be close to $53.00 ($71.00 CAD). I did lower this guesstimate a little since the candle had a listed value that was higher than the retail value on their site. I think that is a good value compared to the box + shipping price of $33.23 (43.98 CAD) for items that I really enjoyed. The bath bomb left a little to be desired, but still made my skin very happy!
