PinkSeoul Box December 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products. This month our info sheet had a note at the bottom- they included two extra masks as a holiday gift.
I thought that was very sweet and not something they were obligated to do.
From Nature Hyaqua Moisture Soothing Cream, Full-Size! - Retail Value $18
I loved that this box frequently includes full-size moisturizers- it feels so luxurious to receive full-size skincare! This moisturizer is perfect for my combo-oily skin, as the water-gel texture sinks into my skin quickly and leaves me feeling hydrated but not greasy.
Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack, 0.10 oz – Retail Value $4
This was an incredibly hydrating lip balm that is designed to be worn overnight to deeply hydrate your lips. This is made with avocado, sweet almond, and apricot seed oil. Honestly, I think its performance is on par with my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for a fraction of the cost.
The Saem Jeju Soothing Aloe Gel, 250 mL – Retail Value $12
I have come to learn from K-Beauty boxes that aloe must be all the range in South Korea- I get a ton of aloe gels. Fortunately, they work great as a moisturizing lotion even if you aren’t sunburned. This sank into my skin quickly and is 95% aloe vera.
Nacific Real Calendula Floral Toner, 6.08 oz – Retail Value $26
As much as I love my new moisturizer this was the real star of the box for me. Calendula is known for its skin-soothing and antioxidant properties, and I am absolutely enamored by the real flower petals in my toner. This is incredibly soothing and hydrating, and I am thinking of using it to try the 7-skin method to deeply hydrate my skin after my holiday travels.
The Saem Green Tea Cleansing Tissues, 20 pack – Retail Value $4.50
I love cleansing wipes for their ease and convenience and hate them since the rubbing can cause wrinkles- I just want to be young and beautiful forever. These have a faint but pleasant green tea scent and left my skin feeling clean and refreshed. I probably wouldn't reach for these if I was wearing a full face of makeup, however.
The Saem Kissaholic Lipstick, Full-Size! - Retail Value $11
This bright red lipstick has a semi-matte finish and is nourishing thanks to the multiple kinds of butter used in the formula (shea butter, cacao seed butter, and babassu seed butter). This would be a good lipstick to wear in these colder months while the winter air tries to suck all of the moisture from our bodies because this won't be as drying as a fully matte lip.
Tony Moly 100 Snail Sheet Mask – Retail Value $1.99
This is a decent sheet mask if you want to relax and add a little hydration to your skin, but the snail is too far down on the ingredient list to really be effective.
16 Brand Sage Tea Mask Pack – Retail Value $4
Oh yay, a new sheet mask brand! This is made with sage extract and other extracts with the ultimate goal of protecting your skin from environmental damage. This is lightly fragranced due to the herbs used, which isn’t a deal breaker for me but may not be for everyone.
The Verdict: PinkSeoul is one of my favorite boxes to receive because I know I can expect several full-size items suited specifically to my skin's needs. This month was no exception, and I am loving my new toner and moisturizer. Pink Seoul Promises a value of $60 in this box, and this month they were well above that with a total value of $81.49.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign-up today? The November/December box is currently sold out, but you can sign up for the January box here.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $39.95 + free shipping, which means that each of the 8 items in the box has an average cost of $4.99.
