Pet Treater Cat Pack December 2018 Review
I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:
There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker.
Cat Santa Hat – Estimated Value $4
This has a label that indicates it was purchased on or is a brand sold on Alibaba.com. I found some similar ones on Amazon, but they all came as part of a set, and this was just a hat by itself. If you take about half the value of the Amazon items, you get $4. Anyway, as you probably know by now, I do enjoy putting hats and costumes on my kitties and you can see some pictures of this below.
Sergeant’s Crazy Claws Door Dangler Penguin
This brand is difficult to find for sale. I did find some other items from them, but nothing really anywhere close to the size or complexity of this item, so the value is really anyone’s guess. I will say, it is nice the folks at Pet Treater found a number of holiday-themed items that were significantly different in size, texture, and play style. I’ve hung this from the door in our home office so Angus can play with it at night (we have to shut him out of the bedroom because he makes a lot of noise).
Pop ‘n Bites (ocean fish flavor, 2 oz) – Retail Value $1
I have never seen this brand of treats before but they are still being made and offered for sale. They do not come with a resealable bag, which is a bit annoying, but the cats really liked them. We’re mostly giving them to Sneaky before and after she gets her asthma inhaler. They are crunchy treats and they don’t have a strong smell.
Sergeant’s Crazy Claws Wreath Dangler
This was probably the most popular non-food item from the box. Dangler toys usually are. Angus will nearly always play with them and Sneaky often will, and sometimes I can even get Monkey or Madison involved. Sneaky liked the finger ring end about as well as she liked the wreath end.
Gratuitous cat photos:
Angus can’t have treats right now (we’re getting him tested for inflammatory bowel disease next month) but he had a lot of fun with the wreath toy.
Madison didn’t like wearing the hat and didn’t care to have the penguin dangler around his neck, but he did like the treats at least.
Monkey tolerated the hat. I am getting some good pictures of him eating treats lately.
Sneaky plays with the “wrong” end of the wreath dangler.
All my pictures of Sneaky eating treats were a bit blurry because she kept getting so close to the camera. Yes, I ended up bleeding after these pictures (again).
Just wanted to throw a picture of Mr. Kitty in there. This picture was taken a few days ago and his eye area has actually improved dramatically since then (he had blepharitis although his cornea is actually in good shape, for him, right now, according to the veterinary ophthalmologist).
Verdict: I couldn’t calculate a total value for the December 2018 Pet Treater Cat Pack because several items were not available for individual sale online. There was a definite holiday theme and the treats were well-received. I, personally, liked that the toys were different types of toys, and I had fun putting the hat on my kitties (well, the older boys at least).
