Pet Treater Cat Pack December 2018 Review

I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Hat

Cat Santa Hat – Estimated Value $4

This has a label that indicates it was purchased on or is a brand sold on Alibaba.com. I found some similar ones on Amazon, but they all came as part of a set, and this was just a hat by itself. If you take about half the value of the Amazon items, you get $4. Anyway, as you probably know by now, I do enjoy putting hats and costumes on my kitties and you can see some pictures of this below.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Penguin

Sergeant’s Crazy Claws Door Dangler Penguin

This brand is difficult to find for sale. I did find some other items from them, but nothing really anywhere close to the size or complexity of this item, so the value is really anyone’s guess. I will say, it is nice the folks at Pet Treater found a number of holiday-themed items that were significantly different in size, texture, and play style. I’ve hung this from the door in our home office so Angus can play with it at night (we have to shut him out of the bedroom because he makes a lot of noise).

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Treats

Pop ‘n Bites (ocean fish flavor, 2 oz) – Retail Value $1

I have never seen this brand of treats before but they are still being made and offered for sale. They do not come with a resealable bag, which is a bit annoying, but the cats really liked them. We’re mostly giving them to Sneaky before and after she gets her asthma inhaler. They are crunchy treats and they don’t have a strong smell.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Wreath

Sergeant’s Crazy Claws Wreath Dangler

This was probably the most popular non-food item from the box. Dangler toys usually are. Angus will nearly always play with them and Sneaky often will, and sometimes I can even get Monkey or Madison involved. Sneaky liked the finger ring end about as well as she liked the wreath end.

Gratuitous cat photos:

Angus can’t have treats right now (we’re getting him tested for inflammatory bowel disease next month) but he had a lot of fun with the wreath toy.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Madison 1Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Madison 2Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Madison 3

Madison didn’t like wearing the hat and didn’t care to have the penguin dangler around his neck, but he did like the treats at least.

Monkey tolerated the hat. I am getting some good pictures of him eating treats lately.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Sneaky 1

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Sneaky 3

Sneaky plays with the “wrong” end of the wreath dangler.

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Sneaky 4

All my pictures of Sneaky eating treats were a bit blurry because she kept getting so close to the camera. Yes, I ended up bleeding after these pictures (again).

Pet Treater Cat December 2018 - Sparkles 1

Just wanted to throw a picture of Mr. Kitty in there.  This picture was taken a few days ago and his eye area has actually improved dramatically since then (he had blepharitis although his cornea is actually in good shape, for him, right now, according to the veterinary ophthalmologist).

Verdict: I couldn’t calculate a total value for the December 2018 Pet Treater Cat Pack because several items were not available for individual sale online. There was a definite holiday theme and the treats were well-received. I, personally, liked that the toys were different types of toys, and I had fun putting the hat on my kitties (well, the older boys at least).

I love the pictures of your kitties. You have some amazing treat-feeding shots! It’s obvious you take really good care of them and that warms my heart.

I just tried to sign up and the monthly price is showing $15 and the code YESMEOW brought the price down to $7.01. Did they change their prices?

Ragan

Yes, it appears they’ve raised prices. I will change that for the next review. (I may not get a box next month due to billing issues but hopefully we will get that straightened out.)

I got an ornament version of the wreath in place of the hat but am much happier because both the wreath and the or Ornament were gifted to my fur niece and nephew less than 3 month old kittens and is now both of their favorite toys! Huge success! (I do already have a Santa hat that has a white beard -so cute- and a rain deer hat so that adds to this box working better for me)

My bag was missing the sticker, wreath and the hat. I received a Santa door dangler and the pop’n bites. I wrote to them on Facebook and they responded promptly. Told me they were sending out my missing items. They sent me the dog pet treater bag, instead, LOL and I am okay with that. Turned out to be perfect for my dog.

I got a tree version of the wreath toy instead of the hat and now I’m absolutely devastated.
