November 2018 Naturally Vain Bath Bomb Club Box Review

Naturally Vain November 2018 -Info Sheet Front

Here is the info sheet for the box. Including an info sheet is new to the subscription, and it really helped with identifying the bath bombs.

Naturally Vain November 2018 - Poinsettia Bath Bomb FrontNaturally Vain November 2018 - Poinsettia Bath Bomb Shade Of Color View

Poinsettia Bath Bomb

This floral bath bomb had notes of violet and geranium that made my bathroom smell like a bouquet of flowers. This bath bomb arrived in pretty bad shape, but I am really digging the new packaging of these being sealed in bags rather than wrapped up in paper. I was all set to send an email to customer service (as you’ll see below, I had two bombs arrive in crumbles), but when I added the bath bomb to my water I was so happy with the bath art I decided to leave it be. I have reached out to customer service before over crumbled bath bombs, and I was happy with the customer service response.

Cranberry Sugar Cookie Bath Bomb

Ooof. This pink number really took a beating. Once again, however, it made some fun and creative bath art. This had scents of vanilla and buttercream mixed with cranberry and orange zest, and after using I had to really stop myself from driving to Starbucks for a Cranberry Bliss bar—think of this as the bath bomb equivalent!

Naturally Vain November 2018 - Pumpkin Pie Bath Bomb FrontNaturally Vain November 2018 - Pumpkin Pie Bath Bomb Shade Of Color View

Pumpkin Pie Bath Bomb

This bath bomb has every pumpkin pie scent we love in pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and rum. I actually ended up adding this bath bomb to the mix with my Poinsettia bath bomb, and the combination of them together made me feel like I was a holiday bathing queen.

Under The Tree Bath Bomb

This is the only bath bomb I haven’t used yet, but I am excited about the potential for bath art given the pretty purple color with streaks of red and gold. This is scented with golden amber, sparkling citrus, and pink jasmine- it’ll be the perfect scent to sink into when I am trying to relax.

Evergreen Bath Bomb

I love forest scents, and this bomb did not let me down. Not only did it create some gorgeous blue-green water, but it also made me feel like I was in the middle of a forest. This is scented with oakmoss, cedarwood, and fresh spices, and I love how spicy it smells—it is a nice balance to some of the sweeter bath bombs like Cranberry Sugar Cookie.

Naturally Vain November 2018 - Blizzard Bath Bomb Front

Blizzard Bath Bomb

This bath bomb, while it smelled delicious, was a bit of a dud in the bath art department. It only lighting tinted my water a light blue, and it wasn’t that impressive. The scent, on the other hand, was great. It has notes of fresh strawberries, coconut milk, and Egyptian vanilla, and I loved how prominent the coconut milk was in the scent blend.

Verdict: I really appreciate Naturally Vain for being an affordable bath bomb subscription. All of the bath bombs are hefty and solid in size, and they create lovely bath art while smelling great. My only complaint is that I wish more bubble wrap was used in the packaging because it is a long journey from Canada to Louisiana. Most of the bath bombs on the Naturally Vain site sell for between $5-$6, and I think that is an amazing price for the quality of bath bombs received. I know that MSA readers had been interested in a more affordable bath box, and I think this one fits the bill perfectly!

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? I don’t think so, but you can sign up for the December box here!

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I can’t wrap my head around fitting in 6 relaxing baths a month.

I can do that in a week. If I get really cold a hot bath warms me up outside in. I read a book and really relax.

Jessica Hapak.

I’m with you Michelle- the more baths the merrier!

I’m assuming they meant ‘Poinsettia and geranium’ not ‘pointsettia and germanium’. I don’t even want to know what germanium might smell like; I bet it isn’t pleasant. Lol. This looks like a cute sub box, silly spelling issues aside.

It always boggles my mind that so many businesses don’t know how to ship their products. If they’re going to use bubble wrap, they should also wrap each ball in the bubble wrap. The way they package them now allows the bombs to knock into each other during shipping and crumble.

Oh well. At least they smell nice and look pretty. Thank you for the review, Jessica!
