Our Review

I jumped at the chance to review this box when we first became aware that it was coming all the way back in June! The first box shipped pretty late but it finally arrived, so let's get to it!

The info page has A LOT of information on it! It gives an overview of the subscription and has all of the levels and how much each donates on the right side. Another takeaway from this page is that items in the Bub Club Sub are always exclusive except for this first one since they over-ordered (not knowing how many subscribers they'd get). Moving forward, the items won't be offered in the store like they are right now.

The other side gives thanks to everyone who helped make the box possible, plus a rundown of all of the products featured across all of the box levels.

Here's a close up of how the Lil Box breaks down donation-wise. $1.50 and 3 bowls of food are donated to special needs pets (like Lil Bub herself) with every quarterly box.

All of the items this time came wrapped in the cutest pink Lil Bub paper!

Lil Bub 8x8 Photo Print - Retail Value $10.00

Squeeeee! I absolutely adore this print of Bub! It's on photo paper and a really nice quality. Our girl is just hanging out in a big 'ol pile of blue and orange yarn, looking cute. I'm actually looking at it hanging on the corkboard in my office as I type. She brings me so much joy!

Space Bub Button - Retail Value $3.00

The next item is a big 3-inch button with Bub decked out in her space suit! If you know her backstory, you know she comes from space, so this is a fitting way to depict her.

Lil Bub YES Bumper Sticker - Retail Value $5.00

There aren't many things I feel strong enough to put a sticker on my car, but Lil Bub may be one of them. This high-quality vinyl sticker measures 8x3 and will weather any storm along with you. I'd feel a lot safer driving knowing that Bub is watching my back.

Lil Bub Postcard Pack (set of 6) - Retail Value $8.00

The final item in the box this quarter is a set of six postcards. Each one features Bub in different ways such as in a vintage postcard motif, an illustrated space Bub, holding the world in her paws, and more. The back has plenty of space to write a note to the special friend who is lucky enough to receive one of these.

Verdict: For $23.00, including free shipping, I received four exclusive BUB STUFF items that have a retail value of $26.00. Perhaps not the best value out there, but it makes me happy that a little bit will be donated to pets in need monetarily as well as with food. I loved all of this quarters items but eagerly await the "Bub As Food" theme coming next!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? It doesn't look like it. You'll most likely get the second Bub Club Sub Box.

If you sign up now, your first box will ship on the 4th of next month, and every three months after. Your next renewal will be automatically charged on the 11th of the month before your next shipment.

Mmmmmkay…… for that price point, I’d like to see more going to charity. How about donate a full bag of food to your local shelter, contribute $10 to a vet that performs free spaying and neutering, and google pictures of the cat?

I love Bub, but I don’t know that the value is here for me. I’m not sure what I would do with a Bub print every month. It will be interesting to see what they will do with this sub.

I guess I live in a bubble as I have no idea who this cat is. While I like that the sub gives to animals in need, it still seems expensive and I would rather just donate.

She’s a rescue cat that looks super weird and has become internet famous. Her owner does a good job of encouraging fans to adopt, not shop and to support local shelters- but that’s pretty much all there is to know about her. 🙂

I did look her up, cute cat. Not sure why people think she is funny looking. Then again my rescue cat (beloved Smokey) ended up losing a fang and her other one kept hanging out like she was a pirate. 🙂 Guess I should have made millions while my Smokey was still alive.
All the cat owners I know have rescues and each is unique. I actually know a cat (well the owner lol) whose tongue sticks out all the time, super cute.
I do like the msg they are trying to spread but I personally think the money is better spent on giving right to your local shelter and helping out at pet stores adoption days of older and unloved pets. You can support this cat and her illnesses by purchasing from their web-store.

SQUEE! I LOVE Bub! I wish we could attach pictures here, but I MET Little Bub when her movie premiered at my University a few years ago! She and her owner are from Bloomington, Indiana so the premiere was at IU!

It was probably the best day of my life. I’ll try to pick up the next box.
