Gwynnie Bee November 2018 Review
ESHAKTI - Black Floral Twofer Fit And Flare Dress
I am really enjoying Gwynnie Bee's new addition of Eshakti dresses to their collection! They are all very well made. I took a bit of a risk on this twofer, as high-waisted dresses do not usually look great on me, but I quite like this one! I think it looks very pretty. The skirt is shantung, and the top is a stretch cotton/elastane blend.
KENSIE - Tie Neck Floral Dress
I didn't feel particularly pretty in this dress, and it kind of felt like I was wearing a nightgown, to be honest. On the other hand, it was a soft cotton and was super easy to wear. I just wish it was a bit shorter like it is on the model (on the website).
FLYING TOMATO - Off The Shoulder Bell Sleeve Dress
I was thrilled to get this dress from my closet picks! And I loved it just as much in person as I thought I would. It's super stylish! I also loved the print and the colors, and it was very well made. So funky! But in the end, I didn't have anywhere suitable to wear it. I need to get out more!
GABBY SKYE - Bell Sleeve Floral Fit And Flare Dress
This dress is amazing! It is a poly/spandex blend, but it feels super luxe. The colors and print are just gorgeous, and the cut is amazing. I love the bell sleeves, too! I got lots of compliments on this dress.
ANDREE BY UNIT - Floral Embroidered Plaid Top
LOOK at all that gorgeous embroidery! Yes, that's embroidery! I was so in love with the embroidery, I forgot to get a picture of the front! The front looks like a regular button-down plaid shirt, except you'll notice the sleeves do not have cuffs, they are simply straight. This cotton blend top was also soft and really comfortable to wear. I got lots of compliments on this one also.
RENEE C - Surplice Multi Print Dress
This cotton jersey knit surplice dress was not particularly flattering, but it was easy to wear to work and very comfortable. I have a really cozy rust colored cardigan I wore with it that made me look and feel very seasonal.
LUCKY BRAND - Floral Border Printed Red Dress
This dress falls into a similar category as the one above. This cotton dress is super fashionable, but not very flattering. It was comfortable and easy to wear, though, and definitely very autumn!
ALEXANDER JORDAN - Long Sleeve Navy And Pink Plaid Shirt
This rayon top was really soft and comfortable. I thought it was pretty flattering, and I liked the colors a lot. I think the pink is a cool touch to the traditional autumn plaid. This was another piece that was easy to wear. I liked it a lot!
TAHARI ASL - Berry Fern Faux Wrap Dress
Like everything from Tahari, this dress was extremely well made and had a very luxe feel to it, despite being 100% polyester. I thought it looked pretty good on me, and I absolutely love the colors and print. The print is particularly beautiful to me. I received some compliments on this one as well.
The Verdict: I love Gwynnie Bee! This month almost everything was a great fit and fun to wear! I especially liked the Eshakti dress, which was a nice surprise, and the Gabby Skye dress. I love having the opportunity to try lots of different looks, especially some that are outside of my usual style. This was another awesome month!
