Christmas Peeps by Andrea Posner-Sanchez - Retail Value $6.99
Well, this was a cute little Christmas book! I love all of the bright and vibrant colors- they are definitely eye-catching. The pages feature a lot for little ones to discover and everything is outlined in those fun stripes. Although I loathe the Peeps candy (for eating), they sure do look cute when they're wearing sunglasses! The text is simple as it finds various ways to describe Christmas such as magical, bright and even Peeps-tacular!
Tiny Blessings for a Merry Christmas by Amy Parker - Retail Value $7.95
This was a sweet story about being thankful for many blessings including your family and the things around you. This was another simple story with short lines of text on each page, but a perfect way to illustrate being grateful and what that can look like. I also appreciated that each page featured a different family and showed a little bit of diversity in the characters. This was also another great book to look at visually with all of the colors and shapes everywhere.
Naptime/Cuddlies by Naomi Kleinberg - Retail Value $8.99
This is a fun book that features two stories about some of our favorite Sesame Street characters. The front side is about Naptime and has a few cute rhyming sentences about singing lullabies, readings stories, and getting all snuggled in and cozy before a nap. The other side has a bit more text and talks about each of the character's "Cuddlies" like Ernie's rubber ducky and Big Bird's teddy and all of the fun things they like to do with them. My kiddos can definitely relate since they have a lot of their own cuddly friends that they like to snuggle with! I also appreciated that they sent one book that didn't have a holiday theme, which was a nice balance!
Verdict: The books we received from BookCase.Club this month were a good mix. We received two nice holiday books and a fun two-in-one book that featured some familiar characters that my kids enjoyed reading about. I think my favorite book was actually the Peeps book though since it had some cute photos and lots of vibrant colors and detail throughout to engage my youngest. The total value of the books came to $23.93 which is great considering this subscription costs $14.99 ($9.99 + $5.00 shipping).
