Bluum December 2018 Review

My Bluum box account is set up for my youngest son, Bennett, who is 8 months old.  Let's see what we received this month:

Infantino Discover and Play Soft Blocks - Retail Value $12.99 (found here for $10.03)

This set of blocks is something that I have always seen at friend's homes but we have never actually had our own set. I love that these are a perfect size for baby to grip and that they feature different colors, patterns, and even some different textures. The sides of the blocks have animals, numbers, and letters in addition to the fun patterns and some of them even feature rings or loops for baby to explore. They are great for visual and tactile stimulation, and each block even has a bell inside that creates a different jingle sound, all of which are pretty quiet, which I can appreciate! These blocks did come packaged in a plain separate plastic bag, but I forgot to take a photo before I removed them.

Fat Brain Toys PipSquigz Loops - Retail Value $9.95

This fun looking toy is a rattle, teether and bath toy in one. I haven't given this to Bennett just yet but I know he is going to love it due to the awesome shape with the hole in the center that makes it easy to hold. Those flared ends are going to go straight into his mouth and when he gets a little older, I'm sure he's going to enjoy playing with the bright loops too. This toy is the perfect size to take just about anywhere and it will definitely keep him entertained with so many fun textures to explore. I love that it is 100% BPA-free silicone and dishwasher safe!

Oilogic Slumber Sleep Essential Oil Roll-On - Retail Value $9.99

This next product is one that I have sampled before and liked so I was happy to receive the full-size! This natural essential oil blend is free from parabens, petroleum, phthalates, gluten, dea, dyes, mineral oil, synthetic perfumes, and artificial colors as well as cruelty-free and vegan. It is made from 100% pure essential oils including lavender, chamomile, mandarin, orange, grapefruit and bergamot blended with jojoba and castor oil to keep their skin soft. I found the scent to be a light mix of lavender and chamomile and I am actually excited to see if it will help my oldest relax before bedtime since she has always struggled the most with sleep.

Bumkins Absorbent Fleece Sleeved Bib - Retail Value $12.95

This bib is pretty unique considering the main section of the bib is made out of fleece and this whole thing is huge and completely covered the front of Bennett. The bib is machine washable and resists stains and while the soft fleece is absorbent, the backing and sleeves are waterproof.

Here is a closeup of the fabric and a photo of the back of the bib. The catch-all pocket flips around so that it is in the front when you actually put it on.

It's a little big on him and looks a little silly, but it definitely did its job! He had a messy dinner of yogurt and while the bib was covered, but everything underneath was clean! Even though it was big, it still worked for him since the sleeves had elastic at the ends and were able to fit him more snugly and I was able to adjust the neck due to the multiple snaps.

Verdict: This month's Bluum box was a great mix of useful and fun items! There were two unique and appealing sensory toys for Bennett, a bib to keep him clean and an oil roll-on that just might help make my life easier if it can help my kiddos sleep a little better. This box costs $34 a month, including free shipping, and the total value of the items we received is $45.88 which I think is a great deal for some truly unique items that I know we will get a lot of use out of!

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? All orders are processed the first of every month and shipped out on the 9th. If you order today, you will start receiving a box for next month.
